Discovering The Wig Shop Cocktail Lounge was a delightful surprise. Upon entering, the eclectic decor and vibrant atmosphere immediately set the tone for a memorable night. I decided to stick with my favorite, the Amaretto Sour, which was expertly crafted--balanced sweetness with a perfect sour kick. Pairing it with their signature lobster pancakes was a stroke of genius; the pancakes were irresistibly flavorful, with succulent lobster adding a rich depth to each bite. The ambient lighting and curated playlist created a lively yet comfortable setting, making my drink and meal even more enjoyable. Whether you're looking for a spot to unwind after work or a unique venue to impress friends, The Wig Shop offers a versatile vibe that caters to all. I can already envision returning with friends to share in the experience. With its inviting atmosphere, delectable menu, and excellent service, The Wig Shop Cocktail Lounge has quickly become a favorite destination. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a blend of great drinks, delicious food, and a fantastic ambiance.

Walked in on a Tuesday night without reservation and we were able to get seated without any wait. Maybe the trick is to come here on weekdays.A small place but they made use of the space efficiently with the seating and the comfy chairs. I like the fact that you are not packed so close with other parties and still have this chill lounge feel. I am a little disappointed that there was no bar seating though - I personally love bar seats more at cocktail bars. Also, the decor and interior is really nice but I feel like they didn't play into the name The Wig Shop. The menu, on the other hand, is top tier. Detailed picture description of the drinks and I am blown away by the variety! The drinks did not disappoint either. The service is okay overall but I feel like it is a little sparse (I had to ask the host how we order/ how this works) because we were not getting any servers attending us for the first eight- minutes? I love the drinks but the place itself doesn't have a wow factor I was expecting.-6.8/10

The Wig Shop is an intimate cocktail lounge with a super cool vibe. The drink menu alone is worth coming in to see.We lucked out without a reservation on a Saturday. When we stopped by at 7:45pm, a table was available for 45 minutes, so we took it. Smart decision!Super creative drink names and ingredients. I ordered the Channing Ta-Yum and it was delish. Made with Bolivian grape brandy, it packed a fruity, refreshing taste. It's served in a huge glass, so there is plenty to share.Would love to return to order more drinks and some food items.

The Wig Shop was my favorite spot I stopped in during my weekend trip to Boston. I had discovered it while researching some post-dinner drinks in the area and was drawn to the unique drinks. We put our name down for about a 1.5 hour wait. When we received the text that our table was ready, we arrived to a cute little area with a small couch and some comfy seats. Service was really friendly and quick, but we didn't feel particularly rushed or pressured to order a second drink. That said, there is a 90-minute limit that they warned us about when we arrived, so keep that in mind!Drink-wise, I ordered the Helena and my friend ordered the I Feel Pretty. We both thoroughly enjoyed our drinks and while we didn't order food, the food menu looked fun.One other thing that I really appreciated about the atmosphere was that it definitely had a speakeasy feel to it, but wasn't overly crowded and didn't feel pretentious like some other speakeasies I've been to. All in all, I would certainly recommend The Wig Shop to anyone looking for a cool cocktail spot.

My only regret is that I tainted my palate with other, substandard cocktails before coming in here. This was the one place I discovered during my Boston adventure research that I knew had to be visited - it was a cocktail spirit animal. You know it when you see it. It had multiple edgy bourbon-based cocktails, and the menu looked like a mishmash of magazine ads from the 1940s. My top-tier chum who literally went to the school of hospitality and I initially stopped here around late dinner time (maybe 7:30ish?), only to be told there was a 90-minute wait (that seems to be incredibly common from other reviews). The Wig Shop doesn't take reservations, so you're basically at the mercy of its popularity on a given night. An uncomfortable reality of having great taste. We got a text alert that our table was ready while we were still eating dinner nearby, but thankfully when we came back around 10:30, they had immediate availability and we were seated in the first room by the door. Despite being told there was a 90-minute limit on seating, I'm positive we were there for at least two hours and probably more, but the miserable early March rain kept the Gen Zers at bay for the most part. There was no way I wasn't going with the Mala Vida, which featured BFF bourbon, cinnamon, passionfruit and coffee. That combo had no business being perfect, and I'm having fun imagining a hipster science lab (plaid shirts instead of lab coats) where someone figured that one out. Delicious. Easily a top 10 cocktail of all time for me, and again, that's having already diluted my palate earlier in the evening - if I'd come into this one fresh, I might be making more dramatic statements. I had at least two of these, and would have made a return trip at some point during the weekend if we'd had more time to play with. The service was great - we were certainly in no rush, which helped, but I don't recall ever looking around for a new cocktail. And alternatively, no one was oppressively bearing down on us throughout the experience, which wouldn't have been THAT surprising given the table time limit we were given. True to speakeasy form, it was super dark in there - there are pictures of us that literally and figuratively will never see the light of day. There WAS enough light to see the people on the opposite couch, who were very nice - everyone we interacted with was very pleasant. I suspect being in a wig shop speakeasy has that effect on most people.Strong, strong recommend. If you're looking for actual wigs to purchase though, you'll probably be disappointed.

Love a good speakeasy! Fun undescript entrance, great low light ambiance, cocktail menu had unique options. Couch seating was comfortable. Light snacks available.

I love a speakeasy even if it's more about the style of the spot over the nature of how you access said spot. Wig Shop is the latter. Bonus points for not looking like I bar on the outside, so if you walk by you wouldn't know it's there. But if I tell you about a bar that's called Wig Shop on a certain street--*boom*, you know what to do. Love how dark this spot is. Even if you get a 2-seater, you feel like you're in your own little world with your guest. The menu is creative, yet approachable. "Sure Espresso Martinis are mainstream, but have you had OUR flip on the E-Mar?!" Drinks take a while--God bless that one bartender, but that just leaves time to talk and connect. There are light bites here that looked and smelled amazing, but I didn't order this time around. The drinks are potent, picturesque, and tasty with fun names and off the beaten path builds using spirits brands you don't already have at home. Totally worth the money and a nice nightcap to Date Night

I would give this place 6 stars if I could. Drinks were impeccable. Atmosphere is exactly how I envision a real speakeasy feel. Some people feel the menu leans a bit on sweet drinks. You can get just about any traditional cocktail too. The drinks I had were all top rate!

The Wig Shop is a perfect pre-dinner drinks spot if you're trying your luck for an opening at a restaurant in Chinatown. Fan favorite is "I Feel Pretty", which is a great fruity drink, but a bit sweet for my taste. I actually really enjoyed the "Grey Pearl", a fun mix of gin, sake, lemon and jasmine tea--I love a good egg white based cocktail. We also ordered some beignets as a little dessert before dinner. I was they were cooked a tad bit longer, but the banana curd + chocolate combo was fab.

This place is AWFUL. My friends and I came in at around 10pm and left our names on the list. Once we got to our table the drinks took FOREVER. All of us were just on our phones and chatting while we waited. Once we got the drinks, the server just dropped them off and then came back 2 minutes later and took the drinks away and told us to leave. We asked what happened and he refused to tell us. We were so excited to try this place but we were definitely let down. Unfortunately, we will not be returning
