The Whining Pig - Phoenix

We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon. They have Happy Hour everyday from open-7pm. I had a hard time deciding; beer or wine. They had a Tempranillo which I really enjoy. However, I chose beer during this visit. The bartender was sweet and we trusted her suggestions. She made each selection for us and we enjoyed each of our drinks. We spent a few hours.It's a pretty small space, a few couples filled it rather quickly. It never felt too crowded while we were there.They offer small snacks and you can order food and have it delivered if you wish.

Great local watering hole for craft beer enthusiasts or if you want to have a fun time with a small group. ___D R I N K S___This unassuming little bar boasts an impressive selection of beers. They somehow managed to get a hold of some amazing craft beers I haven't seen since living on the east coast and other beers I've only encountered while visiting Chicago. I asked some locals how the owner is able to acquire such beers and they just claimed the owner is a wizard. Lol ok. They also offer wine, mead, sake, and other drinks. I'd stick with beer here. ___F O O D___If all you want are snacks, they have you covered. No meals here, but you are free to bring in food. ___A M B I A N C E___It's a neighborhood spot. Plenty of boardgames. Seating around the bar. There are no tables so the space isn't great for large groups. ___S E R V I C E___Friendly and efficient. I always had something to drink. I probably would've rated this 3-4 stars is their tap list wasn't as good. I'll definitely consider stopping by again next time I visit Phoenix.

Nope. What happened to all the good bartenders? New ones aren't good. Selection has gone downhill

Why do I like the whining pig? It is a very quaint and casual establishment. Walking in it feels like Cheers from television and also like your home. Everybody seems accepted right away and you build bonds. Both the wine and beer lists are well conceived with a wide array of offerings to please almost any palate. They have quite a selection of games that you can sit and play and challenge your mind, as you get intoxicated and think about calling your Uber. My wife and I just enjoy those neighborhood down home feeling establishments and this is definitely one of those. We really enjoyed our time here as it was our 1st visit and we will be back again. Right off Bethany in a small shopping strip mall. Such an amazing selection of beer to choose from . Prices are pretty good, bottles only. If you can make it forHappy hour the prices are even better. If you get lucky enough to get the bearded bartender, he is very knowledgeable about all the beers and will get you exactly what you're looking for! Sorry about the blurry beer selection, guess I had a few to many.

Decent enough spot but it's a shame they got rid of a lot of their fun specials. They used to offer a mystery wine (red or white, you can specify) that the bartender chooses. No longer offered, the new bartenders working have never even heard of it, look at ya like you're stupid. Also, no longer offering the grilled cheese sandwiches they were known to serve for so long. A damn shame. Also no more fudge brownies. No more fun art on the chalkboard. Idk, new ownership, I ain't digging the changes.

Food and service was great. Really enjoyed myself with staff was fantastic. I am really looking forward to going back.

server tried to charge us double when we went to pay the bill.A very large selection of beer and wine, limited food to order however the cheese board was amazing,Not very many friendly folks therewe haven't been there in quite some time and wanted to stop in for something to eat before heading home

Good place for beers, but very tight and crowded. When you walk in, it's just a bar with seats around the bar. Lots of different beers to choose from, something for everyone. IPA, sours, hops, ales, porters...etc. Bartender was nice and friendly. I went with Orange Blossom, which is a locally brewed beer. It was fresh and crisp. There are games around the bar area to play while you drink, which is fun. Food selection is small, just a few different grilled cheeses to pick from,
