The Vig McDowell Mountain

Truffle fries, drinks, and service were all great! We went for brunch, would be interested in trying for dinner, super cute spot!Rest of the food was mediocre but maybe they shine more with dinner meals. Will update then!

Stopped in for dinner with my dad and fiance at around 5:45 on a Saturday evening. We did not have a reservation so we were told it would be about an hour wait or we could be seated in the lounge area immediately. We opted to sit in the lounge seating. The lounge area had big chairs with small round tables intended for drinks. We were able to use a second table from an unoccupied table so we had two tables for the three of us, which we thought was plenty of space for our food/drinks. The host(?) was very kind and offered to seat us at a regular table as one became available earlier than expected. We were fine with staying at the lounge seating under the string lights but we really appreciated the effort of offering to move us to a table! The atmosphere of this place is 5/5, especially with the awesome view of the McDowell Mountains at Sunset. Tuesdays and Saturdays they have live music highly recommend sitting out on the patio! Overall we enjoyed the food, however it felt it had been sitting awhile before it was brought out to us. The pastrami was a little cold and the fries did not taste fresh. I'd still come back to try other options and check out their brunch!

A few weeks ago I was part of the Yelp Elite Brunch and Bubbles event here at the Vig McCormick and I had to come back for lunch with a friend.Jeff the GM was there and was super nice along with his staff. Jade was our waitress and she was amazing.My friend and I sat out on the patio to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the landscape and patio decor.The food was great and filling.Looking forward to coming back soon.

We came here around 8 o'clock at night. There was no wait. When the busser came over to fill our waters, he did not say a word to us. I was a little concerned that the experience was not gonna be great from that first interaction. Our server took about 10 minutes to come to our table. He was very kind and friendly. We ordered the burrata appetizer it was very good even my kids liked it. The food was good. The caramelized onion in the burger were perfect. This is definitely a place that we would visit again.

Host was wonderful and servers were extremely friendly, genuine, attentive and informed. Tuna tartare was one of the best we've had. Shrimp tacos and black bean side was delicious. Best service and overall experience we've had in a long time!

My first time at this location for The Vig- loved the outdoor patio area and the food was fantastic! Our service was great- she was attentive and friendly. Our drinks and goodies came promptly....I had a delicious Bloody Mary and an appetizer with Tuna that was superb!! My friend had the chefs platter of yumminess! We were both very happy ladies!! Thanks and we will definitely be frequenting again soon!!

We just had a wonderful evening dinner for four persons at The Vig. We arrived a bit early to enjoy cocktails and appetizers prior to our dinner. We were not disappointed. We were quickly seated outside and it was a perfect evening for dining outdoors. Service was very attentive. Linsey was a great server. We all ordered a variety of cocktails. We also ordered the Blistered Shishito Peppers and the Crisp Cauliflower as starters. Both of these appetizers were excellent and highly recommended. We finally decided on main courses which included; fish and chips, a special 1/2 chicken with potatoes and brussels sprouts, and a steak salad. They were promptly delivered and all received top marks. Overall we had an excellent evening.

Ignoring the not so great reviews, I decided to come here for brunch with my family. Unfortunately the reviews are on point. I have it three stars because of the ambience, the vast outside seating, live music and friendly service even though was super slow. I'm guessing they are under staffed.We ordered a bottle for mimosas and was brought without an ice bucket, so Prosecco got really warm. The chorizo burrito and chicken sandwich was good. My breakfast sandwich was a flop. They used the cheapest thinnest fattiest bacon in the sandwich. For the price they charged for this , it should have been way better.My husband got the chimichurri steak and eggs. Steak was not great, and it lacked the chimichurri sauce. There was probably just a pinch of a moist ball of parsley ( where was the sauce!)I definitely won't be coming back. Such a pricey bill for some poor quality flavor lacking food. So disappointing.

We love the pet friendly patio. The food is always good and the service has been excellent on many occasions!

We arrived a little early and enjoyed a happy hour drink before the rest of our group arrived. We asked the server to close out that bill before the rest of our order. The Manhattan was way off balance with too much sweet vermouth - I didn't return it to not bother her however I should have.We shared fried calamari and chips with guacamole. Both were tasty.Two of us had the hot honey spicy chicken sandwich - one on a bun and one in a lettuce wrap. The chicken was moist and the spice and sweetness levels were well balanced. The bun was eggy and moist. The other two had the grilled hangar steak and enjoyed it. The service was good.
