The Victor Tavern

We visited the new location for post mother's day brunch. We started with the Salt & Pepper Fries and Biscuits & Gravy to share. The malted vinegar aioli complemented the fries well and I loved the melded flavors of the the Cajun sausage gravy and herb biscuit! For entrees, we had the Victor Breakfast which included caramelized applewood bacon was a nice combo of sweet and salty. My FIL said the fish was dry for the Fish & Chips, the Corned Beef in the Hash was sliced like deli meat and not shredded. My MIL enjoyed her Southwest Salad with salmon. Looking back, I didn't need to order the 5th meal (Victor Breakfast) for the 4 of us because the B&G was that enjoyable with an over medium egg. Our server, Matt, did a great job tending to us, answering our questions and offering suggestions. This Edmonds location opened 4 weeks ago. We will be back for lunch & happy hour!

Excellent addition to the up and coming Edmonds bar/food scene.Ethan Stowell hits another home run in his chain of restaurant jewels, opening out in Edmonds vs his Seattle home base.Located in a fully remodelled mid century retail store, right in the heart of downtown, the space is airy and welcoming. The bar occupies half of the interior with tons of space to gather round standing or seated. By far the largest gathering spot in Edmonds. And much needed.The food was excellent for brunch. Shrimp and grits and eggs Benedict were cooked perfect. Love it!

Starting off with the positives:The host and front were polite and welcoming. They sat us quickly.Negatives:We ate around 8:00pm so near the end of a dinner rush:-The waitstaff kept forgetting about us, took us about 20-25mins to order food and then when they brought out a complimentary dish I was ended up charged for it, this was eventually corrected after I pointed it out.-I ordered a regular burger and it was cooked beyond well done, for $20 I would not recommend.- when we tried to get our bill it took about another 20mins as we were told by or original waiter that they had asked someone else to come and check us out but we were forgotten.Overall, the place is obviously new, and has a lot of thi gs to work out, I will look forward to writing an updated review in a month to see if things have changed. The place is a great environment to hang out and watch the games with friends, but service and food quality need to be hammered out.

I was pretty underwhelmed by my experience here which was extra disappointing given the reputation and costs associated with Ethan Stowell restaurants. My initial customer service experience with the hostess was not good, however I will say both of our servers were very nice and were the highlight of our meal over all. My wife and I got the spicy calamari and split the spicy chicken sandwich. The sandwich was good, but the fries and the calamari were cold. I also found the ambience to be cold and boring, it feels like not much effort was put into the overall design.

We had a great experience! First time visitors and we were not disappointed. Service was fast, food hot, fresh and delicious. I'm looking forward to returning and/or exploring other locations. Have the fries!!

Soft opening was excellent! Beautiful seating inside with some limited outside seating. Upstairs will even have bowling! Happy hour 4-6.Slushy frozen drinks were delicious. We also enjoyed our mixed drinks. Wings were fantastic with just right spice and the polenta fries were to die for! Reasonable prices, friendly and fast staff. Will return!

After arguing with the wait staff for our reservation on the patio that they were not going to agree to seat us at- even though we had a confirmation AND called to confirm a few hours before our reservation, ended up getting the manager involved and finally got seated outside, it was fine. Food was good, service was ok but again they totally rushed us for our table which also stated on the reservation we had until 8pm. By 7:15 they kept coming around asking if there was more we could do. I get it, you want our table. If not for all of that everything would have been great.

Great food and service. Really loved the ambiance. Looking forward to coming here again in the future.5 stars

Amazing food! Great service. Such friendly and engaging servers and bartenders.Loved the vibe! They just opened and I'm amazed how ironed out they had everything. Beautiful interior. The service charge was not deceptive; they are very up front for using it to pay a living wage for their staff.

This place is still new and figuring stuff out. However, we had a great time. Food was good and fresh, service was amazing (everyone was so friendly) and the environment was very inviting.People are complaining about the service charge but doesn't bother us. It is a fair amount to put for the quality of food and service plus the location. We were told about it up front and it's nice not to have to worry about tip. Definitely will be back!
