Service: 5/5Food: 3.5/5Ambiance: 4/5Had the pleasure of celebrating a birthday here. The vibe and service was impeccable, but the food fell short of expectations. Kenzie was the sweetest server and did a great job explaining the menu items. She and the manager paid close attention to us, which we really appreciated. The expansive drink menu is also sectioned by liquor, which was really helpful to find what we liked. We started with the king crab tagliatelle, roasted bone marrow, salmon crudo, beef tartare, and baked clams. The king crab pasta was delicious, light, and great texture. The other appetizers were extremely underwhelming and missed the mark. The beef tartare had an off putting fishy taste that we couldn't even eat it, the salmon crudo had no flavor/passion fruit. The bone marrow and clams were ok. For dinner, we shared a dry aged ribeye topped with fois gras with truffle mac & cheese, fries, and glazed carrots. It took quite a while for dinner to come out, and when it did, the steak was chewy, undercooked, and tough. It was quite disappointing because I love Creekstone & Snake River Farms. The steak was remade, but was a bit dry. The fois gras wasn't the best, but the truffle Mac and carrots were yummy. For dessert, we had the caramelized puff pie as the birthday cake and it was the highlight of the meal. It was cutely decorated with fruits and flowers and served table side. The manager made sure we were able to get lots of videos and pictures before serving! The pie was layered phyllo dough and the cream made with vanilla bean panna cotta, marscapone, and blueberry. I never had a dessert like this at a restaurant and we were all so glad we got it. Bill was $465 after 25% tip for 3 people.

Went for a small work outing. Restaurant was not overly crowded, but far from empty, on a weekday night. What a unique and fantastic place! A steakhouse with fantastic filet mignon, as well as a modern menu including delightful fish entrees, and a flattened large round veal chop with layers of sauce and cheese on it, basically a veal pizza! Everyone found something they liked. And the drinks! Finally a perfectly, almost impossibly well-executed cocktail experience. Every drink perfect.Oh and the SERVICE! Every drink humorously but carefully checked on for accuracy, including my 5 cocktail onions in a bone-dry vodka gibson. Lauren provided the absolute height in elegant, attentive, and entertaining service! Darrion, the manager, also went out of his way to make us feel at home. Finally the space itself -- a weirdly welcoming open office vibe. So, the Vermion Club occupies an open 2nd story of a modern office building - the busy bar area overlooks the main building lobby, with restaurant tables and booths to the side. Felt perfect for an office dinner, and I'd love to return for lunch some day.

I was so excited to make a reservation here for my husband's birthday but didn't feel our experience was all that good even though I had high hopes for this evening.I had difficulty deciding between 3 or 4 stars because some things were good whereas others weren't. Here is a breakdown from the evening:Ambiance: If you follow me and know me, Ambiance is a HUGE factor when reviewing restaurants. You want the prettiest, sexiest, cleanest, and gorgeous decor when dining out, especially when it's a special occasion. I thought Vermilion Club hit all of these and was a stunning place overall. I was admiring everything from the bar to the tables/booth that we sat in and everything in between. Menu: There were a few menus that we got which I thought was a bit much and overwhelming. I like simple when it comes to going out. From memory, I believe there was one for food, one for bottle list+, one for dessert, and one for cocktails and BTG. Food: The menu looked amazing from what I saw so we both were excited to try it. We had GF rolls which were delish since lots of restaurants do not offer this. For the app, we shared their Chopped Salad which was good. The portion was a bit larger for 2 people but I loved the presentation. For entrees, I ordered the Ora King Salmon which was ok. The salmon itself was decent, but the sides could've been better and more flavorful. The portion was smaller! My husband ordered the NY Strip which was excellent. We both love Prime Steaks and they did an amazing job at cooking this to perfection. The sides were also fantastic: Polenta Romesco, and Ginger Mushrooms. We both enjoyed some high-end red wines BTG. We didn't have time for dessert but they sent over a nice gelato with a candle in it. Service: We started with one server, Dean but moved our seats to another table so we had a different server. Dean was awesome! He kept on checking in on us and making sure everything was perfect. I appreciated this and he was so fun to chat with! The other server we had was very shy and seemed to be nervous and didn't know the menu or some cocktails all that well. She spilled a bit of wine on the table when pouring me a sample. I did give her a suggestion and tried to help. We also felt the service was a bit slow and it was early enough that there were not a lot of people in the restaurant eating. Overall: Since this restaurant is new and like others said "working out the kinks" I still think it would be worth it to go and check it out. I know the bar is really beautiful to sit and have a drink and app or a full dinner. Hopefully, once they iron out everything this place will be the spot to eat this fall and winter. Cheers!

While I know this place had growing pains with service and food when it first opened in June 2024, I can say that it's now all been fixed. From my experience, everything was fantastic. Service was very attentive and expeditious and my food was of high quality and most importantly, tasty. Started with the focaccia bread: very fresh and flavorful. Came with an olive oil mixed with red pepper, which added to the yumminess. 4/5 French onion soup dumplings- stock was mushroom not beef stock so flavor was light. Dumplings were tender and had decent flavor This was a good appetizer. 3.5/5Veal Pizziola- a giant, breaded, on the bone piece of veal smothered with mozzarella cheese and soppressata. This was awesome! The breading was flavorful and added a nice crispy to the perfectly tender veal. The mozz and soppressetta added some great flavor 5/5!Corn pudding- another winner. Very savory. Great sweetness from the corn with some added saltiness for balance. 5/5! Get this if you like corn! I'll def come back for other menu items and would ignore the negative reviews. This place is a solid spot for sure!

I always attempt to lead with empathy when writing a review of a restaurant. I also appreciate that this spot is relatively new and is probably working out its flow. Let's start with the positives - cocktails were beyond phenomenal in my opinion. The fried onion dumplings were also fantastic as was the entree-sized serving king crab tagliatelle. The polenta was a bit soupier than I anticipated but it was still tasty. I'm also a big fan of the space itself. With that said, similar to other experiences below, the wait time was egregious. Cocktail service wasn't affected but the wait between each course made no sense. During our down time we looked around and could see that plenty of other tables in our area were experiencing similar waits. I felt bad four our server as she seemed to be completely at the mercy of the kitchen but kudos to her for doing her best to keep us engaged. I'm not local to the area but I do hope this place can pull it together.

The food was ok and the price was kinda expensive. About $80 per person kinda so like not worth for the mushroom steak lol... but I really like the tuna tartare and I luv the ambiance. Also since it was my bday they gave me a cake which was really nice!!! Some restaurants don't even mention my bday so good service!!

Came here with my husband to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It did not disappoint! The cocktails were fabulous and our filet's were cooked to perfection. Also really enjoyed the glazed carrots as a side. The service was excellent from the thoughtful host to our knowledgeable and friendly waiter. The cherry on top was that view. I hope this place helps the financial district pick up their nightlife game. We had a great time.

A few of us dined at The Vermillion Club last night for the first time. The ambiance was good. You're basically sitting on the perimeter mezzanine level of a very large corporate lobby ("Connector") space, but it's a striking space and the acoustics are good given its location. The food was good and appropriately priced for the location and menu. The staff were courteous and tried hard. All that said, there were a few instances that stood out poorly. First, different wines were poured at the table, but no tastings were first offered, which I have not experienced in a restaurant of that caliber. Second, when appetizers were cleared, one in our party asked that his unfinished appetizer be left, but it was cleared anyway as the last item, and he just let it go. Third, another bus person later cleared my glass of wine which still had about a third of its contents. I called to him with no reply and then had to get up to ask him to return it. The impressions I got was that the wait staff was not very experienced. That is forgivable and we still tipped very well, but if I'm right and management of The Vermillion Club hire's people with little restaurant experience, they should train them better.

This experience was a thumbs down due to the lack of service. Before I sat down at the bar, no one greeted me. At the bar, there were at least 6 staff members and maybe 10 people sitting at the bar. Once I sat at the bar, no one greeted me, a bartender tossed me a menu. After I waited some more one bartender officially greeted me and took my drink order. Ten-15 minutes later no one returned. At this point, we are in about 20 minutes into this experience. I decided to leave the restaurant. The customer service needs to be drastically improved. They seem to still be figuring out their systems of operations as a new restaurant. Several mangers were on duty and the bar staff still was not up to par. The menu is blah for non meat others.

I had the pleasure of dining here last night for my niece's birthday and we had a spectacular time. The restaurant is located in an interesting location with a novel layout that ended up being very nice as the tables were well positioned for privacy and the layout resulted in not feeling like being surrounded by large groups of tables in a large steakhouse. The service was excellent and the meal was perfectly timed. Our server also was very attentive but what I liked most was he didn't interrupt the meal but if he saw my wine glass was empty he was right there to refill. The food was excellent and the notes as follows:1. Buttermilk calamari - this was amazing. Perfectly cooked and very unique breading with the buttermilk - 11 out of 10 on this dish;2. 1/2 dozen oysters - perfectly shucked and some unique oysters I haven't seen before with a choice of briny or more fresh finish - 11 out of 10;3. Lobster cocktail - could have used slightly more creme fraiche but absolutely delicious - 10 out of 10;4. Prime rib - I haven't had prime rib in a decade but was intriguing so I ordered. Amazing taste, crust and perfectly medium rare. Served with an au juis and I ordered horseradish on the side. Many of their meat products are Snake River so they are buying and serving the best. Next time I am ordering that American Wagyu tomahawk - 15 out of 10;5. My niece had the salmon and she shared one bite and it was delicious;6. Now comes the good stuff - for dessert we had the baked alaska (my favorite dessert), the souffle and the mousse. All desserts were absolutely incredible and I loved the cherry brandy glaze on the baked alaska - 12 out of 10:Lastly, great wine selection with many reasonably priced bottles and glasses of really, really good wine. The cocktail menu was also robust and I enjoyed the Vermillion dirty martini.Everything exceeded our expectations and we will certainly be back. This is a great restaurant with very solid pricing (refreshing in this economy) and great service.
