There was a vegan snickerdoodle cookie that was delightful! Of course would love to see even more vegan options but still grateful for this!

Stopped in here for a flat white while walking around the city. The spot is cute, small, eclectic and offers a lot of menu variety. Service was quick and polite. $5 for a regular flat white, which isn't outlandish pricing in CA. However for $5 I was expecting a decently sized drink, and what I received was a small cup that was literally less than HALF full of coffee. I was in a rush to catch the train and didn't notice this until I took my first sip after walking for a bit, so I wasn't able to ask about it. It also didn't taste that great, which was very disappointing! But I didn't want to waste my $5 so I finished it, which took exactly 5 sips.

The Tin Scoop Cafe has a setup on Kettner Blvd right next to the Seaport Village trolley stop. There was one small round table on the sidewalk out front for seating, otherwise everything was takeout. I visited during a break from performing a civic duty in the downtown area. Unfortunately, it took two attempts because there was a group of five ahead of me during the end of my lunch hour. There was only one worker and after 20 minutes of waiting, she still had not completed their order. I left and returned later in the afternoon, and this time I was the only customer. The main menu board had sandwiches, ice cream, and desserts as the offerings. To the right side was another menu board that featured the coffee, tea, and orange juice. There was even CBD Tea sold at $5 with each cup containing 5 mg of cannabidiol which is supposed to aid with chronic pain, anxiety, inflammation, and insomnia. I haven't encountered another local cafe that sells this type of infused tea.The ingredients of the sandwich I chose were ham, sliced hard boiled eggs, arugula, and tomato on a seeded baguette. A panini press was used to warm it up before being wrapped. I liked the eggs as a secondary source of protein. There were several baked goods and about a dozen ice cream flavors on display. While waiting for my sandwich, I asked for a scoop of the ube ice cream in a cup. The quality of the frozen product was good, however the serving size was not as generous. Many shops give you nearly twice the amount you get here at a similar price.

New cute little take out directly across from my condo. We have been there 3 times in past week, once for ice cream and twice for coffee. Ice cream was good, sandwiches and pastries look yummy. They have a problem with their coffee pricing. What they call a "Grande" is actually only a 12 oz drink in contrast to the 16oz at Starbucks. They also have not figured out their charging, adding on 3% card fee (even though they are a no cash card only shop at this time) and 7.75% sales tax (not required on take out coffee in CA)My 2 coffee's yesterday at Tin Scoop were $11.63. Same drinks (but larger) at Starbucks today were $10.00. It takes me 1 min to walk to Tin Scoop and 4 min to Starbucks. So until they get their pricing and drink sizes figured out (which I'm sure they will), I'll get my coffee at Starbucks and ice cream at tin scoop.I'm also eager to try their delicious looking sandwiches in the future.I'll gladly change my review to a 5 star when they resolve the coffee thing. I'd like them to succeed

This little coffee shop and cafe is recently underway and is located right next door the the Lion's Share, in downtown San Diego.I wanted a cortado, but they had not gotten that on the menu yet, but hopefully soon. Instead, I went for the pico Americano straight black for $4.50 plus tax. The Americano was quite good. It was very smooth and rich. Just a note, a pico is a small amount of coffee, about 3-4 ounces. This place is a to go only place, unless they add a few tables out in front, which I recommended if possible. They offer locally sourced baked goods, ice cream, and a variety of specialty lattes and cold pressed juices. It's a cool spot for some eats and beverages on the go. The service was very friendly.
