We decided to try a new Korean place besides Mama's Kitchen in Factoria. This place has good reviews, and I think the good reviews are mainly for the fried chicken. We ordered Tofu soup, spicy seafood udon, and honey garlic fried chicken. The tofu soup didn't taste like typical Korean tofu soup, I would still go back to Mama's Kitchen for it. The spicy seafood udon was ok, not too good not too bad. We loved the honey garlic fried chicken the best! The chicken was flavorful, crispy, and not too salty nor too oily. Next time, we plan to try the original friend chicken.

The trouble with business travels is sitting in your hotel room researching dinner ideas, nearby restaurants...I decided that tonight I just needed something a little spicy, something tasty, and not too distant from my hotel. Tonight I chose "The Third Place", a small family owned and operated Korean restaurant. I'm glad I did...!!!I ordered the Kimchi Stew, it arrived quickly, boiling hot...and goodness, it was fabulous. Just the right amount of spice, and full of flavor. Also, in traditional Korean fashion, banchan is also served. Banchan comes in many styles and varieties, this serving was pickled vegetables. Yummy...!!!I've not been to this restaurant before, but the service was spot on, the food remarkable, and the costs agreed with my pocket book. I most certainly will return...I hope to see you there.

Delightful fried chicken and delicious creamy seafood udon! If you're looking for solid Korean fried chicken, this is the spot! It's quite busy inside and they offer a wide variety of dishes ranging drink kbbq items to fried chicken and they have a good selection of alcohol! Ambiance is casual though a bit noisy. Service is great, though I wish we had napkins

The fried chicken here is delicious. I got the half and half regular and mild/spicy fried chicken. It was fried perfectly, was surprisingly pretty crispy even after eating it 20 to 30 minutes later- I am sure it would be glorious if eaten right away , generous portions, and the flavor was great. I got a three out of five spice level and it wasn't spicy at all for me but still very tasty. Would definitely return to try more things

My go to spot for great korean fried chicken and creamy seafood udon.Third time here and it continues to be consistently good. The chicken is large, juicy, crispy, and full of flavor. I've tried most of the flavors - our favorite is probably the honey garlic. But my favorite dish of all time is the creamy udon with seafood. Sooo good and the perfect pairing with the fried chicken! It's great to also bring home as leftovers and heat up and add more to it. We've also tried their sister restaurant Underground Kitchen in Federal Way which also had awesome korean fried chicken.

Sadly this place was not as good and a bit underwhelming compared to its sister restaurant, Underground Kitchen. We went around 8:30pm Sunday, and the person working likes to do just the bare minimum - handing out the menu and just sit wherever. I am not really expecting service in these types of places, but this is a prelude to fairly mediocre food as well.We ordered the spicy squid stir fry, some fries, and the half and half (original and yangnyum). The squid is fresh and flavorful, with lots of vegetables. It is a fairly large dish which is meant for sharing, and it is the best dish out of what we ordered. It was a bit on the saltier side and it was fairly saucy, but use your creativity and you can dip the fries and the original chicken into the sauce for a unique combination. The fries were fairly standard and meant as a filler as our meal was more of a snack than an actual dinner. The half and half Korean fried chicken was a huge miss for me. The yangnyum had enough sauce but it still tasted a bit bland. All the sauce did was make the batter soggy, which should not happen for Korean fried chicken - where with sauce, the chicken is still crispy. The sauce tasted more like a sweet and sour - like where is the gochujang? The original tasted better than the yangnyum here with a nice crispiness on the outside, but even then, neither of the original nor the yangnyum was as crispy as the ones I have tried at their sister restaurant.Overall, I am a bit disappointed in my experience, given a stellar dining experience in their sister restaurant. I will come back to the one in Federal Way (Underground Kitchen), but this is a pass for me.

Stopped in for lunch with a group of co-workers. We ordered the chicken and fries to share. Portions are quite large as we were able to order 1 mixed wings and 2 orders of fries for all 3 of us to share. Overall food came out quickly and was decent but not something I'd go back for. The atmosphere of the restaurant felt kind of like an old cafeteria. So, wasn't the best place to sit down and eat at. Lastly, service was mediocre and not the friendliest.

Whenever I'm craving Korean fried chicken, I know I can always go to The Third Place for reliable, yummy eats. The inside is cozy, clean and no-fuss but always seems to have a line out the door on weekend nights -- which to me, as a hole-in-the-wall lover, signals that the quality of food speaks for itself. You can't go wrong sharing an order of fried chicken, tteokbokki and kimchi pancake with a group of friends here on a Friday night, especially when it's cold outside. The price is good for the portion size in my opinion. Would definitely recommend!

The Third Place in downtown Redmond is my go-to spot for Korean fried chicken, hands down. While parking can be a bit of a hassle, I usually just opt for takeout, and let me tell you, it's worth it.Their Korean fried chicken is on another level--crispy, flavorful, and just downright addictive. Whether you're a saucy or sauceless kind of person, this chicken delivers. The portions are generous, perfect for sharing or stretching into two meals with another dish on the side. Now, let's talk sauce. The spicy option? Whew, it's not for the faint of heart. Tried it once, won't be doing that again. But the honey garlic? Oh yeah, that's the sweet spot. Just be warned, reheating leftovers can be a bit tricky with the honey, so it's a finish-everything kind of deal.As for other menu stars, the spicy rice cake is a winner in my book. Surprisingly not spicy, it's a hearty bowl filled with fish cake, chunky rice cakes, and veggies. And guess what? It pairs perfectly with the fried chicken. That's our combo most nights, and it never disappoints. But wait, there's more. Ever tried fried crispy chicken gizzards? Trust me, you're missing out. The texture is spot-on, but fair warning, it's a tad oily, so if that's not your vibe, you might wanna steer clear.Sure, The Third Place might hit the wallet a bit harder than your average Korean joint, but let me tell you, it's worth every penny. So if you're in the mood for some killer Korean fried chicken, this is the spot to hit up, no doubt about it.
