The Tavern

The menu boasts "best BLT in Phoenix". White bread drenched in butter, 1/2 wiggly/raw bacon, 1/2 well done almost burned bacon, 1 sad tomato and mayo. What about this is "the best"?Blasting country music and rock music. So weird.My server Emily was lovely and made sure I got to my gate on time.

I'll start by saying our server was wonderful, and it's an airport bar. There's not a lot of great expectations when you're killing time, and that's not exactly the experience we had. My bloody Mary was fine, we had a side of fries and a grilled cheese with tomato soup, and it was pretty expensive ($20 for a basic grilled cheese on white bread and a cup of soup). I'm giving a star less because the entire reason I decided to spend time here was the deviled eggs I saw on the menu, which were apparently out. I chose a soup instead, and that was out as well. I would probably have not normally spent $60 on fries and a grilled cheese, but I was hungry and had an extra hour due to a flight delay. Honestly, like I said, it's an airport bar. Don't expect a lot and expect to spend a lot. If you have the chance, just go to Panera or Starbucks and save $50 to have essentially the same thing. If you absolutely need a drink, go for it and expect to be underwhelmed.

This bar is an embarrassment for an airport that has so many other good things going for it. The menu is nothing special and WAAAAY overpriced. The staff all seem quite unhappy, especially the rude bartender who things he's king of the world or something. We didn't even order food, just 2 large glasses of Sauvignon Blanc. Total bill - $46. Even for airport prices, this was an insult. I hope their management reads some of the similar reviews posted recently here and makes some immediate changes.

Stopped for a bite before a flight and was disappointed. The drink was ok, tasted watered down and the very expensive taco was not good at all.

Got here at the airport (2) hours in advance, (as you all should). As we were walking to our gate, we noticed this spot that had the football games on and decided to have a drink and get some food. First off the area was nice and had a sports bar feel to it. Which was nice because it's Sunday football. As we were looking at the menu, nothing really seemed appealing to eat and was VERY expensive. So we settled on getting a couple beers. Our poor server was the only server for the area. One bartender and one waitress. For how busy it was, she definitely needed help but had great service throughout. Overall, this place was ok but very pricey. I know it's "airport prices" but damn....

Always on point. Staff of great morning or night and I fly several times a week. It's airport ish... so it's pricey for what it is. They come correct!

Stopped for a bite to eat before our flight and it was okay I guess. Sat immediately and they grabbed a drink order (espresso martini). We got waters while we waited and put in a food order for deviled eggs and a single American burger.The burger was okay, tasted fine just not great. The deviled eggs were pretty good and what I wanted. The espresso martini took forever to get to us and once we got it we wish we just stuck with waters. Honestly one of the worst espresso martinis I've ever had, we didn't even drink a quarter of it before just pushing it off to the side.Overall you're at an airport with limited options. If you're hungry and are fine with food that is just okay at best.

I would like to let you know that Sean mathews and Heather Nitchoff did an amazing job in performing their jobs. Both were very busy, held it together with a smile on their faces. Kept up with the demand and engaged in conversations. Great attitudes at "The Tavern" in Sky Harbor Airport!!!!! Thank you Q

Stopped in yesterday a Tuesday @ 6 PM 4 drinks and a burger $105.00. Waitress forgot our order and they were putting up chairs as we were sitting there. It was obvious they were ready to leave and making everyone uncomfortable as 5 staff people stood around. Had to go to the bar to get any service... Place is terrible. Avoid

Waiter was bothered to serve us. We sat infront of the kitchen door and watched thecook grab bacon with his bare hand and shove it in his mouth licking his fingers and proceeding to prepare food without washing his hands. The floor of the dining room was filthy. The food was typical airport food. Lousy. We did expect a little more restaurant in considering your restaurant in town. This is blight on your name.
