The Tav

Great bar! Food is awesome and staff is very friendly. Karaoke nights are always so fun!

This is my favorite spot for singing songs playing darts and they even have a pool table packed in w plenty of space. The food is good every-time I've been here and the staff is friendly and tentative.

My Deer Valley friends, if you have not found it yet, the Tav is the towny bar you have been looking for! It is truly where everyone knows your name. They do not hate on new comers and treat them and welcome them as one of the regulars, because they know, once you go you are a regular! They have the usual great selection of every liquor and a good selection of beers on tap. Did I mention they serve food?! Great menu and they don't mind altering to your liking. Be a local- go to the Tav!

Loud and obnoxious. Food was ok. It's bar food. It's a dive bar so...the wait staff was slow

Hmmm kind of a miss for me... but to be fair, I'm not huge into the dive bar scene. The service was terrible and the cocktails were below average. I will say the burger and Cajun seasoned sweet potato fries were pretty good though. If you like dive bars, def worth checking out!

Poor service. Unfriendly staff who were very rude. Place was filthy. Tables were unclean and floor was sticky and gross. Bathroom was disgusting. I do not recommend. Parking lot is small. Worried and someone would back into my car and damage it. Avoid this place.

I agree with previous posters. I came in for the first time with somewhat limited expectations. I've been to a bunch of Phoenix "dive bars" and really none of them have fit the bill. This place is too clean and has somewhat updated furniture to truly be considered an actual dive bar but they have phenomenal food, service, and cheap drinks. The sign on the wall near the dart board helps add to the appeal to the place but it does seem to lack some personality. I'm glad it's a stand alone business and not like the majority of the strip mall bars we have. It's a smaller place but it wasn't too busy while I was there.

Used to be a good place until other management took over. I used to recommend that place, but I don't anymore.

After 1 beer I was refused a drink because my wife appeared too drunk. A more seasoned bartender should be hired. Will not be returning.

Upon visiting this bar with friends, we were pleasantly surprised by the cozy ambiance and great drinks. Our main activity for the evening was playing pool and enjoying the sunset, both of which we did to our heart's content. Danni, our waitress, deserves special mention for her exceptional service in handling our group with humor and grace. We are already looking forward to our next visit to this gem of a spot. Good times guaranteed!
