The table was a nice, small restaurant that gives off a welcoming vibe and cozy atmosphere. I always ask what the best or most popular thing on the menu is and the gentleman helping us suggested there fresh line caught salmon. I ordered it but didn't expect to receive such a small portion, especially for $40. After being shocked about my portion size I was shocked about my choice. It just tasted like regular salmon you get at Costco in the freezer section. And even looks like exactly like it too haha. Maybe I'm not the demographic to be going to a place like this, but if I'm spending $40 on some salmon I at least want to get full off of it. Or maybe add some sides too?

I recently was on a business trip to Tacoma over my anniversary but was lucky enough to be able to bring my wife. We took the evening to enjoy our anniversary and happened across The Table. When we arrived I was surprised by the intimacy of the restaurant. It was a small but charming little place. We didn't have a reservation but were greeted and immediately seated by a friendly waiter. After reviewing the menu we ordered, my wife had the salmon over a corn succotash and I decided to try the duck. Both meals were delicious, the salmon was perfectly cooked and everything tasted great together. The duck was amazing, it came along with apples and cabbage and I'm not sure I've ever had duck that tasty. Although they had a few unique dessert options, we decided to pass on dessert but if the dessert is anything like the entrees I'm sure it's amazing.

This is a great date night spot! It's a more intimate environment and the staff is so friendly. They explained the menu, talked about how they rotate it regularly based on what's in season and what the chef finds at the farmers market. I only took a couple pictures of appetizers and forgot to take them of our entrees, but the food was delish and tasted so freshly prepared.

We had a grrrrrl celebration at The Table and it was the most elevated dining experience I have ever had in Tacoma. We had great service, great salad and entree and the handmade sodas were a wonderful sub for our non-drinking pallets. Outstanding!

Wow, what an amazing experience. I believe we had the best seats in the house by far, we sat next to the table where the chef prepared the dishes for service. We ordered the gnocchi Mac and cheese and the scallops as starters with a glass of their Tempranillo. I have never experienced gnocchi like this, they were the best I have ever tasted. They were light, fluffy, filled with filling but it did not seem like it upon eating. Words can't describe how decadent they are. My husband almost devoured his scallops before I could get a picture. For our main course, I ordered the steak, while my husband ordered the duck risotto. My husband has had duck from all over the world, from France to China - he said this duck is the best duck he has ever eaten. My steak was cooked to perfection along with the fries, they were well cooked with the right amount of crisp. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal while watching the chef prepare the plates. If you truly love your meal don't forget about the kitchen staff, we bought them two round of drinks for after their shift. Overall, the service was impeccable, the restaurant was very nice with good lighting, didn't seem overcrowded or loud in anyway. Will definitely recommend to anyone and everyone, but also, we will definitely come again!

Finally made it in! We've been remiss in not visiting The Table before tonight. But we're rectifying that now. We started with the braised elk, a glass of the DeLille Cab, and a glass of the Nomen Malbec. The wines, which we started right on, were very good. Excellent recommendations by the staff. The braised elk was so tender and could be fork cut. Tempe sauce was excellent. This is always on the menu so you should get it. We ordered the true cod and the local pork ragu. Of course, the menu changes so these may not be available. We paired the cod with the Grosgrain Chardonnay. Both dishes were very, very good. Not a bite was wasted. We finished with the hazelnut pie and the blood orange beignets. Ugh. So full. But so good. We will certainly be back and I would suggest that you try it out!

Great restaurant and staff. The food was delicious and the menu rotates regularly so I could see coming back again to try new things. Our server was attentive, although we did overhear another server describing the desserts to a different party and she did a much better job engaging with the customer and selling her product than our server did. But overall a great experience and a place I am likely to visit again.

We decided to come here to celebrate my husband's birthday after the chef was nominated for a James Beard award. Our server Alix was incredible! They made us feel so welcome and special and had some valuable insights on the menu (including wines to pair with the food). We started with the frisée and beet salad, which was lovely and light. We then had the braised elk and the gnocchi, partially because Alix told us that these are their signature dishes. Both were quite tasty! The sauce with the elk was top notch. (We opted to take most of the gnocchi home because Alix said they reheat very well and we wanted to save room for everything else.) For mains, we did the duck risotto and the pork. The duck was very well made and the risotto was quite flavorful and savory. The pork was like a bigger salad, but still packed with flavor. For dessert, we split the Persian beignets and each had a pourover coffee. The beignets were great and not overly sweet! If you want a more communal dining experience, they have a long high top in the middle of the restaurant. (A pro to sitting here is that you can watch the chef's plate everyone's dishes.) Otherwise, you can sit at one of the smaller tables along the perimeter. Overall, if you're looking for a foodie experience in Tacoma, this is your place!
