We came here on a recent trip to San Diego. We came on an afternoon and the place was not busy at all. Parking is plentiful and staff is friendly.Their menu is extensive with something for everyone. We were passing through town with our son, so we were in for a quick bite to eat. We ended up ordering the following:-Chicken Salad Wrap-Kids chicken bites meal-Fries-Toasted Marshmallow ShakeFood came out quickly and you can tell everything was made fresh and cooked well. We enjoyed our meals and were on our merry way. The bar area was very lively for a weekday afternoon and we left there with a very positive experience. I would definitely come back if we are in the area to try other items on their menu.

Crispy Chicken Bites ($9.99) were good, not greasy. Good portion. Sort of like chicken tenders, but nugget-sized. Enjoyed the Jalapeno Aioli sauce much more than the Fire sauce. I believe this place has Texas roots, so naturally, their chili is "straight chili" that is, no beans and maybe not even tomatoes? (save for the garnish). Opted for the cup size ($5.35). The flavor was OK but it was really greasy- you could taste it and see it around the sides of the cup. Seems like the meat was cooked from raw in the chili pot and not drained. I expect if you put this in the fridge there would be a 1/4" orange fat layer floating on the top.

I realized something today. All those TikTok people that rate food and use a number system such as "This pizza slice is a 7.2" is complete bullstuff. I know judgement is arbitrary by all, but a number like 7.2 has no real weight. Okay, so, off of my bandstand.Continuing my burger journey in San Diego County. I came here not knowing it was a chain, but I still went in. The ambiance is a burger place with a bar. Not mad at it at all.I usually get a regular burger UNLESS something grabs my eye and my eye was pulled outta my head. How about a French Onion Burger with a French onion soup to dip it in. Bun: for a thinner bun it has great texture and held up to being dunked in a soup!! I was kinda shocked. I was expecting disintegration. Meat: traditional burger with a great medium rare cook. I could taste the beef and the seasoning. I was worried about the salt content, but it all worked. Cheese: they used a Gruyère that totally worked because of course it was French onion soup. It melted really well and gave it additional flavor.Side slaw (no fries): pretty good. Nothing special, but definitely complimented the salt of the burger better than fries. Final verdict: I would totally go back.

I've been to The Stand at this location a couple of times as well as the one in Irvine. Every experience I had was great. The burgers are flavorful and salads are delicious and refreshing. I also like their fire fries, shakes, and agua frescas! The only thing that is just okay to me is their hot dogs haha. The staff is always so nice and welcoming. I like that they also have a TV and full bar with some pretty drinks! Hubby tried a paloma and he liked it. Whether I'm craving a burger or something light, The Stand would be a a great option.

We wanted to try a burger place with a better ambiance, sit down hang out kind of vibe with more food options so decided to give this place a try. This location has had a few changes it the past decade and really wanted one to stay longer but unsure about this one also. I actually miss my good old Pat & Oscars about 3 places prior.Let's talk about this one though as it's what we are here for. I really want to like it but i don't. As we walked in, we had to order our food first before sitting down and simply felt rushed trying to gather everyone's order and can be overwhelming with pressure due to others in line waiting for you to complete your order which may take awhile. The tip section is already on there before we can even get our seat, food or service. Not something i was expecting coming here. Our food took awhile to arrive. The cheeseburger was overwhelming with sauce & condiments where burger end up looking like a hot mess plus could barely see the burger patty. The kids chicken bites was quite a disappointment of 4 popcorn chicken size bites with a few pcs of chips (they can choose between fries or chips). We also ordered sweet potato waffle fries and regular fries and i swear the regular fries and chips taste as if they were soaked in salt for a while before frying. It was very salty. Waffle sweet potato fries were not bad. The large looked more like a medium also if you ask me. Definitely quite costly for what we got. Lastly we also ordered kale quinoa salad and the Cobb salad. Both of these were very good actually. Although the chicken in it is quite dry. Ambiance was nice and relaxing with a mix of a good sports bar like feel and they have TVs around for the game. Service was great and servers for nice. Parking is descent as it's located in a huge plaza. If I were to come back, it would be for the salads. For the burger and fries, i would pass as it's no different than any other burger joint or fast food burger joint for much cheaper.

This restaurant replaced Grub & it's very similar to what it was before but I will say their food and drinks are a bit better quality & tastier. My only reason for not upping it to 5 stars is it's a little pricey for ordering at the front and being as casual as it is. However they have a decent Happy Hour ($2 off drinks & some discounted apps) and they have a phone app where u can earn points for $ off for future purchases. Their kale salad with steak was fantastic and portions are a good size. Burgers are delicious too. Service is casual, fast and easy.

Hopefully this one is here to stay as its changed over a couple of times. Fun place to go after a great youth sports game. You can even enjoy a fun Sunday or Monday night football, March Madness, as they have plenty of screens to watch a game or two. Now to the food....so many different combinations of burgers to try. Almost hard to choose! They have burgers, sandwiches, salads, hot dogs, different types of fries and even some veggie dishes. Then for dessert there's all kinds of milk shakes and floats. We had the Strand Burger and Onion Stack Burger and an order of regular fries. My husband hates these thick fries, but I am not picky. These were good! Love the onion stack burger with the bbq sauce on it. My next visit I will try the french onion soup burger....I kept hearing that being ordered over and over again. Service was outstanding....my order was taken quickly and in a timely fashion my order was brought out.
