Outstanding service. Incredible pizza. And the staff was just the best. It's nice to have such a great independent pizza place so close to home!

This was a wonderful find for a lunch spot in Mukilteo! Tasty pizza (we got the meat lovers on the cauliflower crust because my wife is GF!) and got the seahorse spinach salad and the tempura green beans! Sat on the nice deck with a water view! They're super dog and kid friendly! Brought our pup a water bowl and our toddler some crayons and coloring and a sippy cup! The meat lovers pizza was so yummy and meaty. And the tempura green beans had a good crunch to them and were not greasy. But the environment and Lisa's friendliness was the best part! Will definitely be back! They also have a unique supply of canned craft beers!

We decided to check out The Sound Pizza & Pub based on the good Yelp reviews. We enjoyed Sully's in the past so wanted to see if it's still good under the new ownership. Ambiance - The decor was nice with window seatings having views of the waterfront. There was a party of 4 already seated there so we opted for a more private table across from the bar. Service - Our server was great so 5 stars for attentiveness.Food - We loved the spinach salad; it was fresh and had plenty of garnishments. The chicken pesto pizza did not hit the mark. We felt it had too much cheese and not enough chicken or pesto sauce so it lacked flavor. The rim of both of our water glasses had lipstick markings so more thorough washing is needed.Since we live nearby, we will probably try this establishment again in the future.

In shortFor many years it was a neighborhood institution with tons of regulars, serving pizzas and drinks to the locals and occasional ferry travelers. It still is, though it has a new name and new owners. Good apps, huge salads, solid pizzas, and a great bar. In long90+% of the people who come through Mukilteo know only the road to and waiting area for the ferry. This is the little business district above the ferry holding lot, which thousands of people have seen out of the corners of their eyes and not checked out. There's a ton of nice stuff hidden up here. More than one couple of friends have gotten married in the big hall across the street from here. The Sound is in a little multi-suite business complex that looks for all the world like a house somehow. They have trellises with vines over a nice stone walkway that leads to a courtyard; the first door you hit is The Sound. This used to be Sully's, which honestly I never visited. The new owners set up shop in 22 and seem to have held onto most of the regulars. Word is, one of the owners came in here every night for 3 weeks to meet as many folks as he could, and find out what he had to keep the same when they re-opened. Nice move. Both of the owners have been in food and beverage forever, and they have the place humming right along. You walk in to a small lobby, hardly room to sit down. Then there's a medium-sized bar, a small dining room, and a medium-sized dining room. Probably get maybe 40 people in here if you overpacked it. It's all clean and bright and comfortable. Some are here to eat, some hang at the bar. Nostalgically enough for me, there's a big seahorse sign/sculpture mounted on one wall, from back when one of the owner's family owned The Seahorse in this part of Mukilteo. My dad delivered tropical fish to the horse back in the day, and as a kid I came with him a time or two. I always love places with nice fish tanks in their dining room, and not just because it was our family business when I was growing up. We checked out wings, which had great flavor and were cooked perfectly. I'm getting to the point where I want to try everybody's wings and these were worth repeats. The spinach salad was pretty good, tons of veg in with fresh leafy greens. The ceasar was super generous with croutons and cheese, but overall didn't show a lot of house-made touches. We had the Sully, which showed up with generous toppings on a near-crackery-thin crust. I could do with a bit less cheese and a crisper crust but this is a very solid pie for sure.We had a bottle of Browne Family chardonnay with all this, which is a good example of how well-curated their wine and beer lists are. Tons of good kegs pouring, and nice reds, whites, pinks, and sparklers on the wine list. You can tell from glancing at the wine list that somebody knows what's up and isn't gonna wreck your credit while they're at it. Service was so friendly and warm throughout, answered every question cheerfully and informatively, and stayed right on point every step of the way. You really can't ask for much more from a cool little spot for the locals. And the locals were here...we scored the last table, which was again the last table when we stood up to go. They're running this place right.

Absolutely some of the best service and pizza I have ever had. We had a normal pie and a gluten free pie, both were excellent. This is a small operation, so if you go at dinner time be prepared to wait, and maybe even share your table if you would enjoy meeting new people.
