Great meals, great staff, great owners. Great all around. Only thing I would say is that in my opinion, they need new booths. I find them to be so uncomfortable, that I always use stool at the counter. Otherwise great place to eat

My husband and I stopped in this hometown diner last Friday on our way to Canada for a weekend getaway, we won't ever stop here again. The food was ok, nothing to rave about. The waitress could be heard the entire visit bad mouthing the owners to other patrons, presuming locals. My husband stepped outside for a cigarette after eating an fell in a sinkhole in the parking lot, which he reported to the waitress, her comment wasn't favorable to the property owner. When driving back through town on Sunday my husband noticed the hole was bigger and no safety cones or barrier were placed around sinkhole, which is an extreme hazard. And the men and womens bathrooms were disgusting! Where's the Health Department, cause this building has seen better days. To end this review I'd like to add, it seems good help is hard to find.

Hash browns were good, crispy and done. Eggs were OK. I've had better ham. Sausage gravy wasn't up to par. But put them all together cowboy style (stacked) and I've never had a better meal! Well worth the drive to Everson. Yee Hahhhh!

What a fantastic place. I have never had a bad meal here. Service is fantastic and the food is not to be missed. From the Po boy to the French dip... I am thankful to have this place to eat at! The prices are good and relativity to the quality and quantity of food that you get.

What a wonderful and great small town place that the locals know. Really enjoyed the small home town feel that this restaurant invoked. Pictures on the wall and all sorts of things made it feel special. Will be back again for sure! And, the food was good!

The pancakes are just pancakes, but the French toast is something special!Upon entering, Smokestack Diner looks like it might be candidate for "Kitchen Nightmares". A little run down, not very well decorated, not super welcoming, and the staff "kind of" following pandemic protocol. The service is friendly and attentive without being annoying. Missing sides were quickly obtained and coffee cups frequently refilled. The kitchen, which is in view from main dining, is manned by two very hard-working masked gentlemen. They get presentable and delicious food prepared quickly. My pancakes were huge, but nothing extraordinary. The French toast was spectacular! Perfectly delicious with the perfect amount of cinnamon. If you're out and about, wanting to try something new, check out Smokestack. I'll definitely be back for French toast.

We found this diner on Yelp and the reviews were legit. We decided to try crossing the border via Sumas instead of the usual Peace Arch crossing to see if it would be a shorter wait. Somehow it still took over an hour on a weekend morning. We were hungry and came here for a late breakfast or brunch on our way towards Bellingham. Everson is a small town and this diner is very popular. Parking is available in the lot. The diner was almost full house and we had to wait for the staff to clear the table. The menu was typical diner fares with specials on the board. I ordered the country fried steak and eggs with sourdough toast and it was so good! One of the better ones I had in ages. Best to have it when hot. I tend to be a slow eater and towards the end I was so full and the meat was also cool by then. Not as nice. So I didn't force myself to finish it. I tried a bit of the fried clams from my friend's po'boy sandwich. That was really nice too. Freshly fried and hot and crispy. The service was a bit slow as it was just so busy. We were not in a hurry so it didn't bother us much. I would return here to try other items if I am in this area again. Oh there is a discount if paying in cash.

A nice diner located right after the Sumas boarder. Yelper friend C and I came here for brunch. Their portion size are quite big. When we arrived, the place was pretty much a full house. There are not a lot of options if you want lean meat like Chicken. They do have some healthy options like veggies omelet etc. I ended up getting the fried clam Po Boy sandwich. I arrived 10:30 and lunch doesn't start until 11 am but the chef was nice to make an exemption. The Bo Boy was very delicious and everything was made fresh. Portion size was big. I had my meal side upgraded from fries to salad. The salad had almost everything from bacon, croutons, cheddar cheese, olives etc. I was thinking it would be a skimpy house side salad and I was wrong. The place is not fancy but they do have good food. C ordered the country fried steak and egg. She said it was delicious and she too could not finish it. Parking is free and there are plenty of parking spots in front of the restaurant. I do recommend trying if you have not been.

Great Eggs' Benedict. Consistently get the eggs cooked to perfection. Fast, friendly service. Photos of early Everson are great. Also checkout the wall thickness and overhead joists, to accommodate the thousands of gallons of milk processed and stored there in the past. KAS, MD,PhD
