The Sleepy Potato

The food is excellent. I had the loaded potato with lamb and shrimp. You guys should try it out.

This is my first time actually catching this spot open! It's tucked into a strip plaza with a gas station and laundromat, so parking is limited, but don't let the location stop you from visiting this spot! I ordered the Seafood Potato, and I was expecting a small potato with very little seafood on it, but let me just say I can actually "SEE FOOD," pun intended!! Check this spot out when you can, and please don't be in a hurry, the food is cooked to order! You can thank me later........let me know your thoughts if you try it!

Do you like Loaded Baked Potatoes? I know I do. I have been passing this place for awhile. Yesterday I felt I needed something to comfort my soul. Sleepy Potato here I come. Location is on Cleveland Ave. next to Chevron . If you not paying attention you will miss it. Other landmarks in the area ( near Interstate 75,- Kroger City center. Walmart, Storage place across the street. )I walk in.. no dining inside.. as all the chairs were turned upside down on the tables. There is a large plexiglass.. behind there.. is where the magic and goodness happens. I saw the lady making a potato I was like Wow.. it's really loaded with toppings. They had many options for your potato experience. Build your own .. or get one of the specialty pototoes.. The toppings were a great selection to choose from like steak, chicken , crab, shrimp. BaconVeggies: onion, spinach, bell peppers, broccoli, tomato. Of course cheese. I contemplated which potato to get.. I opted for the Veggie without spinach add bacon. ( I asked about sour cream. The gentleman said it comes on the potato.. but I didn't see it. The potato was good and work the $19. It was large and stuffed with toppings. Potato was cooked to perfection. I ate half when I got home.. the other half a little later. Delicious. They didn't skimp on the toppings AT ALL. Only thing there was a few spots that were a little salty.. but over all good and I will be back. For $4.95 more you could add wings and a drink. Who needs wings when you got this loaded potato. But that's a option. And they have a full menu loaded with wings, Philly style sandwiches, appetizers, salads. Fries.. even chili cheese fries!!!!You can call your order in or use food delivery service. Not sure which they use. I did see people coming to pick up orders. I sat and waited for my order. They do have a sign stating food may take up to 30 minutes for preparation. I appreciate signage like that. I will wait for good food.. and GOOD IT WAS!!!!Sleepy Potato.. you get a from me. Customer service was good.. the gentleman was nice and helpful. I will be back.. for sure!!!

DO NOT GO HERE! I repeat, DO NOT GO HERE! I have NEVER had such a horrible experience at a restaurant! I visited Sleepy Potato for the 2nd time and will NEVER return! After ordering my food I observed a man, who I later learned was the co-owner, in the grill area with a outdoor coat on and no gloves stick his bare hand into some food, grabbed some out and placed it into his mouth!! It was absolutely disgusting!!! When I told him I wanted to cancel my order and get a refund he became extremely rude to me.  After I expressed my dissatisfaction with his explanation of who he was and what he could do he still did not change his attitude.  At one point he talked about my personal life and after learning my name (to provide my refund) called me a minion and made other rude comments.  There was however one female associate that stepped in to assist. She was understanding and apologized,  however she did mention to the man that she has told him about doing that. Now to me that means this isn't his first time and definitely will not be his last.  Though I paid with a card she could not figure out how to refund the card she gave me a cash refund; however, the damage was already done! I plan to report his egregious and unsanitary behavior to the health department and will never return! I strongly urge you not to eat here!

5 food! Bufflalo chicken fries are delish! Philly cheesesteak was fire! The bread had so much flavor. The food took a min to prepare but was worth it! You will not be disappointed :D

Eating here twice-Uber eats and go to go for work. I ordered the lamb potatoe that was great. On the next order I had the honey hot lemon pepper-not what I enjoy. It was more hot and salty then anything. That kool aid tho- it's sweet!!!!

It was my first time trying it and it was SOOOOO good! I had a Chicken Philly Cheesesteak Potato. I was full and it was flavorful! It only needed salt and pepper. The wait wasnt long and they are masked and gloved throughout. I like that you can see them preparing and cooking your food. I didnt care for the aluminum foil "boat" they made to hold the potato as pieces of it break off into the potato. But honestly no complaints.

If I could give zero stars that's what I'd give. I ordered through UberEats. I ordered the seafood potato combo which should've had crabmeat, shrimp, and sausage. This potato had salmon and sausage. There was no sour cream. It was dry and old looking and the taste wasn't any better. The wings were dried out. For a first impression, this order failed terribly. It was a waste of money all around. It went in the trash... potato and all. I will not order again. Very disappointed.

i love the food. been a supporter at the cleveland ave location past 17 mo. since I moved to the area. I frequent here about 3X a week. either walking in or through Uber eats/Postmates. it's legit my fav. the crew has changed so I wish their customer service was more professional or at least welcoming. wait times are a typical 30minimum. Saturdays I've waited an hour. didn't give five stars because don't call the number either never works or they don't pick up unfortunately the staff has been very off putting and quite frankly rude on numerous occasions & the restaurant hours are never exact. Meaning they frequently open later, close earlier or just not be open when hours are posted. very frustrating & unpredictable when I tell people hey this my fav spot try it & they've been closed. veggie sweet potato add salmon with a side of fried mushrooms is my go to order!!

Great food! Potato lasts for two days. Employees are fantastic. You do have to wait due to every is prepared once you order but it's well worth the wait.
