I came here early on a week night to meet a friend and it wasn't yet crowded. Our server Shane, was attentive and efficient. He was also very friendly and took care of our needs. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, which was nicely decorated. It was like a fancy pizza place. I ordered a small Veggie Pesto Deep Dish pizza. The crust was unique in terms of texture and taste. It reminded me of a sweet apple pie crust. I would come here again to enjoy a meal.

Tried the shop for the first time and was pretty disappointed given the great reviews. We came for happy hour, but they didn't actually have a menu to look at. The choices were pretty dismal so we got 2 sangrias, the cheesy bread, and a beer. They forgot one of our sangrias so I had to go to the bar to order it and then they forgot to bring it out so I had to ask again. The cheesy bread was okay. The inside of the restaurant was really hot so we sat outside but there weren't a lot of choices in the shade.

Our party of 13 was looking for a place nearby for dinner. One of the parties recommended this place since there is a large outdoor patio and that the food was great. We ended coming in on a Friday night at 8pm. We were lucky to snag the outdoor patio area which had several heaters. The staff was gracious to accommodate us and to take our large order. They were able to split the checks for us which was nice. We ordered the Burrata salad as an appetizer and then 2 large pepperoni pizzas to share. Our total came out to be about $75 along with an alcohol beverage. Our order did take awhile for it to come out. Everyone's appetizers and pizzas weee out and we still hadn't reviewed our salad. We had to ask when our pizza were on their way since it was getting late and the kids were hungry. Overall the food was good. The pizza was a bit greasy so dab with napkins. The service was great, as the employees came around and asked if we were ok and if we needed anything. Cute dining establishment with lots of ample parking.

The Shop offers up some of the best deep dish pizza my cuss hole has ever been blessed with. The crust is buttery and flaky and has an amazing deep fried quality to it. High marks.We had the 858, a pie with spinach, ricotta, mushrooms, garlic and onion. It was delicious and plentiful and a small was plenty for two people. We also indulged in the bruschetta beforehand and although delicious, we totally overindulged. No regrets; I don't hate the leftovers.Service was friendly and prompt and the space itself was super clean with a nice mix of indoor and outdoor seating (in a private patio area). Oh, and FULL bar. Yours truly will be back.

I was on the hunt for a good deep dish pizza in san diego and found the shop and it was such a great spot! I love that you could build your own pizza so we made it to our liking. despite how nice the ricotta looks on top I do feel like it somewhat muted the flavor of everything else, so I would probably leave that off next time but everything else was amazing. huge portions too!

Excellent place for a night out with your loved one. Or meeting the girls for Happy Hour. Inside and outside dinning. Great food, pizza, cocktails, salad, appetizers. Great customer service. Hidden gem in Rancho Bernardo in the von's shopping center. Try it today you won't be disappointed.Happy customerLaura

I saw this place had pretty good reviews and had to try it. I ordered a, sangria because on Sundays it is only $8. It was very delicious, but I can tell it's mainly juice. I didn't get any buzz whatsoever, and I'm a lightweight when it comes to liquor. I enjoyed the Caesar salad, especially the croutons. They tasted so good and were very crispy.The deep dish pizza (which they highlighted is their specialty) was just meh. The crust has way too much cornmeal. Which made the crust crumble a lot. The sauce didn't have enough salt in it. The roasted garlic in it however was so good, as was adding the ricotta cheese!The staff was very nice and attentive, but I did notice an error in the receipt as they tried to charge me full price for the sangria instead of the $8. The serve was nice about it and changed it quickly though.The atmosphere was very nice. We chose to sit outside and there was a fountains behind me it was so nice and relaxing. I'm not sure if I'd go back and spend my own money, but if someone invited me and paid for it I would go. If I could I would give this place a 3.5, but sadly I can't give 1/2 stars. Also make sure to check your Parmesan before pouring it! Ours had mold on it!

My fiancée and I have been coming to The Shop for the past couple years and usually sit at the bar since we're a couple of bourbon snobs and this place has a top-notch selection. The ambiance here has usually been very understated the times we've been here and is very simple. Simple interior, a polished concrete bar top and a beautifully displayed bottle selection. This is a place that doesn't need to rely on fancy decor, or big screen TVs in order to sell themselves. Tonight we were served by Jesse who has served us a few times now and as usual his service and personality were what one can expect of an establishment of this caliber. To put it simply, Jesse is awesome and really knows how to engage and interact with his customers. We usually end up here just for a couple drinks, but today we were a little on the hungry side. We decided to have the bruschetta as well as the spicy baked wings. Although we've had the wings before, we hadn't yet tried the bruschetta, and it was incredible. Thick slices of bread with giant chunks of burrata, basil, cherry tomatoes and a balsamic glaze drizzled over it. The whole thing was amazing. In addition to the bruschetta and baked wings, we both started off with an old fashioned. I opted for a regular old fashioned and my fiancée opted for their signature old fashioned called Strange Days which also has rum in it. Although you can't taste the rum, it did change the flavor profile of hers to be a little on the sweeter side. After those, we tried a Slider as well as a Wheels on Fire both of which were phenomenal cocktails. All in all, I can't recommend this place enough. The food, drinks and quality of service from those we've interacted with have all been nothing but stellar.

My absolute go-to place for deep dish pizza in San Diego! I've tried a couple around the area, especially North County SD; but nothing just beats their sauce and crust. I've been having The Shop for a couple years now, though mainly enjoyed it at home through DoorDash delivery. One day, I decided to come in to the RB location to try their food fresh and I have to say; IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT. Their ambiance is by far pleasing, artwork along the wall and a beautiful bar adjacent to it that represents all of their liquor and fancy cocktails.We ordered the burrata caprese as a starter and got the infamous 858 deep dish small. Don't be fooled by the size, it was definitely enough for 2 people. It was a chef's kiss moment being able to try the deep dish pizza fresh and hot. You would think mushrooms in a deep dish pizza is strange, but the flavors really worked well with the ricotta. Our server was quick and attentive to us throughout the experience and refilled our waters for us or made sure the food was good.I will definitely be back again in person for the RB location often whenever I have that pizza craving.
