A large variety of stuff too.I didn't get pics of the coffee and other menus, so there's a little more than you see from my pics btw.The Brisket Tacos, + Shrimp Tacos are my favorites so far.Sooo worth it. Great Food, Great employees. They have been happy, very nice, on top of their game, + professional, each time I have gone.Thank you guys + gals. Great Job !!!

The food was good. I got the Baja Bowl with Pollo Asada and the cilantro lime rice. The rice was good, but I wish it had more of a "limey" flavor to it. The Pollo Asada in the bowl was tasty, but also wished there was a bit more of it in the bowl. Tasted a lot like a Chipolete bowl, but better and better ingredients. The portion is pretty good. A single person could eat it all but could also be shared between two people and still be pretty filling. We ordered online, so it was ready for pickup when we got there, and the service was quick and friend. Overall, it's not amazing, but it's pretty good. Maybe a little pricy, but understandable for the amount you get. You can choose the stay there and eat outdoors too.

Food is good, however the menu items being served are inconsistent with what is being served.First visit was a Taco Tuesday, my wife ordered 3 tacos.. with a $2 up charge for guacamole. Tacos came out with no guac... it took a good 2 minutes for them to rectify the situation.I ordered the BLAT, let me just say for $12.99 I had what looked like a mixed greens salad in between a couple of slices of bread. Second visit, not even a half hour ago we ordered a horchata coffee listed as 12 oz or 16oz.. to which we were informed there was only one size... then there was the surf and turf burrito $16.99 (which was tasty) filled to the brim with rice (I get it)... however again not a slice of avocado in it.It'a difficult when you want a place to win, yet the prices don't reflect what you're getting. It's possible the menu is too large to accommodate demand. Focus on what you're good at, have your menu reflect that. All and all I'll be back, with the hopes they get it together.

Okay found us an East County GEM! Our first order was their single smash burger and my.... It didn't disappoint! A Juicy burger with the right amount of caramelized onion and cheese sandwiched between a buttery and toasted brioche bun! Great fries and fast service! Ordered online and it was done within 10 minutes. Can't wait to try their other menu items when I'm on the go! There's not much ambiance, but You can dine on-site but it's just a few covered picnic tables in a busy intersection of SV giving you that taco stand feel....

This is literally a shack on a corner of the Spring Valley property where Valley Farm Market resides. A long, multi-compartment smoker sat in the parking lot adjacent to the structure where meats were being slow cooked. I believe the finished products were then taken inside the market for portioning and packaging before being handed to customers. Several picnic tables with overhead cover were in front of the shack in case you wanted to enjoy your food and drink on-site. The operating hours were from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm daily. From the business name, you couldn't tell that barbeque was the featured cooking style. For beverages, the menu had coffee, smoothies, milkshakes, and non-alcoholic drinks. Breakfast food offerings included burritos, omelettes, and avocado toast as examples. The variety of lunch items was unexpectedly diverse. The lynchpins were sandwiches using the BBQ meats which could also be ordered a la carte. A smashburger, hot dogs, chicken wings, and salads also fit the bill. Mexican fare (bowls, burritos, quesadillas, tacos) appeared on the menu with a final twist of poke(!) as a listing.I arrived before the lunch start time of 11:00. The lady at the register said she couldn't even take lunch orders yet until the system officially opened at the top of the hour. That was annoying because the staff could have been able to prepare if they can already see what is being requested, especially for non-BBQ orders. When the clock struck eleven, I was the first to approach the service window. My choices were four of the meats a la carte in 1/2 pound portions... brisket, pulled pork, smoked turkey, and tri-tip.It took nearly 30 minutes before my food was ready which was surprisingly long given I was the first to order lunch. A container of jalapenos, pickle slices, and pickled red onions was provided as complimentary sides. The meats had a strong smoky flavor to them, however the best was the tri-tip followed by the turkey. Valley Farm Market is known to source high quality tri-tip which was executed to perfection by the pitmaster with a simple seasoning of salt and pepper. The sweet BBQ sauce included in my takeout bag did not even need to be applied. On weekdays, there's a daily deal available. The most intriguing was the Taco Tuesday special of $2.99 tacos each with a limit of five. Shrimp and tri-tip would be the protein selections for my tacos. The downgrade to my rating was because of the ordering and food preparation processes. I wonder if the lag occurred for the latter because the meats were not ready yet to be pulled from the smoker by 11:00. They could have needed resting time before being sliced because certainly cutting a half pound of meat and placing it in a container was not as labor intensive as assembling a sandwich.

This Shack at Valley Farm's Market in Spring Valley has changed identity a couple of time, but now they seemed to blended the best of both worlds: A coffee shop and a BBQ house with smashed burgers and tacos.I've been to the shack of a couple of times now. First was for some coffee and an avocado toast. The coffee was good, and the avocado toast was really good and came with plenty of smashed avocado. Now, the double smash burger with fries was fantastic. They use quality beef, which is ground in-house, at the marker next door. The beef flavors were great, and the burger as w whole was great, too. The double smash burger comes with sauteed umami onions, American cheese, a secret sauce, on a toasted brioche bun. You can get this great burger on Thursdays for $10.99. Any other day, the double smash costs $14.99. It comes with fries. They offer outside shaded seating and service is very friendly.

Tried the smashburger, carnita tacos, and brisket tacos. Smashburger was alright, carnitas was too dry to be edible. The brisket however was moist, tender, and not too fatty. It didn't have the best smoke ring but here's what solidifies it as a top dish here:On Tuesdays, it's $2.99 for all tacos. On THIS side of the border?! And for tacos packed with big slices of brisket?! Say less. The only taco I'm eating here from now on is the brisket one. I already see more and more people waiting in line every day, so I hope you ignore my review and don't come. Or just order online.

Great friendly service. Food was tasty and ready in a decent amount of time. The vibe is chill. The smell from the smokers make it feel like you're at a cookout. Overall good vibes and good food.

Breakfast is not their forte. My husband & I order a breakfast sandwich & a breakfast burrito. My husbands sandwich came with a chipotle sauce that he described tasting like nothing but black table pepper & the cheese was a craft single. Unfortunately he did not end up having more than a few bites. I had a bacon egg cheese & potato burrito and while the ingredients seemed to be of quality, it was entirely too excessive on the bacon with not enough egg. I love bacon, but if i wanted to eat a pure pound of bacon, I wouldnt have ordered a burrito. We had greats hopes for this place but it seems any business that goes in there just doesnt make it. We will try again for lunch but breakfast definitely wasnt it.

Overall this place is not bad. Will have to try different items next time to get a better gauge of the quality. Would do 2.5 stars if that was possible. Price was fair for most items especially if you are taking advantage of the daily deals. The service was quick and it has a nice vibe even though it a shack on the corner of a busy intersection. Unfortunately if you are looking for classic bbq this is not the place. While I enjoyed the Cali/Mex-BBQ there were some fundamental issues with the food in my opinion. The biggest issue was the refried beans. I was under the impression they were BBQ beans and sadly ordered it as a side for both of our meals. The beans like the other sides lack seasoning that would make you want to take a second bite. I was so turned off by the beans I contemplated going back up to the store because I had no interest in 2 orders of refried beans that have no flavor. The potato salad lacked any flavor or seasonings despite its number of ingredients. Didn't taste any salt or mustard at all which also was very disappointing. The portion for the Tri tip order was also questionable. I believe it was 5 slivers of meat. Considering the price was comparable to the baby back ribs I don't see how I get a half rack for cheaper than 4-5 slices of Tri tip. The Mac n cheese was okay I guess. Probably going to stick to sandwiches, burgers and only fries for the sides. I'm not writing this place off but definitely would like to have had better explanation from the staff on the items so I'm not feeling like I spent $50 on food I'm not sure I even will finish.
