4.5 stars. I made a special trip out to San Diego to stay with my friend, and we spent one evening drinking wine and doing tarot readings on each other. That gave her the idea of going to Seventh House for brunch the next morning. It wasn't clear exactly when they would have someone doing tarot readings, but we took a chance and make a reservation. This place is SO CUTE. I'm obsessed with the décor, and borrowed a ton of ideas for my house. Parking is kind of a pain, so make sure to allot time for that. On top of cocktails (which were just okay and not very strong) we shared the Divorce Eggs and Vanilla Bean French Toast. Both food items were tasty! Never had anything like the Divorce Eggs before.By the time we were getting ready to leave--because our brunch reservation was relatively early--someone had come in to set up their tarot reading station. It's a very aesthetically pleasing "bird cage" for lack of a better description. The service itself was quite pricey, and we decided it wasn't worthwhile so we left. Neat experience overall.

I was so excited for this restaurant. Unfortunately, I was let down when I arrived. I had a reservation and when I arrived I was sat at a small table right in front of the kitchen door. I thought this was a silly considering I had a reservation for a couple of days. There was also an overwhelming smell of like fish or shrimp when I arrived. Which didn't really bother me, just something I noticed. When others got their bill they received a paper bill in cute little boxes and I was handed an electric card reader. Just little things that might not seem like a big deal, but the little details mattered to me.The food is really the only reason I gave this anything above a 1 star. The Mac and cheese was SO good as well as the Brussels sprouts. My friend and I shared the shareable drink, which is really not a big drink. It looks like it's meant for 1 person.I typically don't write reviews but I feel like these are so fixable. I would love to give it another try.

Took one of my visiting friends here because they're into astrology. Parking wasn't too bad considering we came on a Sunday and we were seated right away after checking in.The ambiance is so cute! Very chic and aesthetic with lots of opportunities for cute pictures. The drinks and food were amazing, the decor was romantic, and the music was a vibe. There were lots of astrology touches during the entire experience, they even do tarot readings! It was a fun place to go for brunch and I would love to come back soon!

I highly recommend reservation so you can secure your spot. We went for brunch on a Saturday afternoon. Once we were greeted and seated. It took a while for our waiter to come around and ask for our orders. Once we ordered, the food came out at a decent time. The drinks were just okay, I had a Cadillac margarita (a little watered down) and my friend ordered their Arnold Palmer. Now for the Food ratingI ordered the lobster Benedict: consisted of lobster cake, poached eggs, hollandaise sauce, caviar and potatoes. The Benedict and potatoes were cooked perfectly, it was crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside. It was delicious. 9 out of 10. Don't break my huevos: consisted of slow-braised short rib, soft polenta, two poached eggs and fine herbs. The short rib melted in your mouth, had great flavor and polenta was soft. 8 out of 10 Vanilla bean French toast: consisted of berries, vanilla ice cream and caramelized pecans. Presentation was beautiful, I wish they put the ice cream on the side because it melted very quickly onto the French toast. Other than that, it was great. 7 out of 10. Beautiful decor all around from the ceiling to the bathroom. Decent amount of tables and seats. Street parking is only available.

The vibe is underfunded and understaffed, and the people working doing the best with what they have. Pros- this place is insanely cute and very well decorated. Our server was very sweet. Our salads came out almost instantly. There was one guy in all black clearly working very hard. Pics here are an instagram dream. Cons- no one at the host stand, took a while to get seated even though we had a reservation. No toilet paper in the bathrooms and they replaced it with a stack of paper towels (see pic). The beet salad was not at all as described for $16 and was tiny. It was canned sliced beets, there there were no peas ponsace, there was no goat cheese mousse, there was nothing to it. The bloody marys tasted like V8 and the gin bloody called the Mel B tasted like bengay. No we did not send the drinks back, I can't imagine it would have mattered, there was no bar tender.

A very beautiful place indeed. Good food and drinks. I like that they had outdoor seating, dog friendly, and that you could order coffee and pastries outside on the go. I hope they last a while as this location has a curse for closing.

Known for its brunch, we decided to try this for dinner during Halloween weekend. I was pleasantly surprised to see a fire dancer entertaining the guests as we were being led to the table. Shortly after we were seated, the dancer came over to me and let me blow out one of her fire eating torches! That was a cool experience. The ambiance was definitely upscale with a large tarot card art against one wall and a seating area tucked within a large bird cage. Now, I don't normally mention the bathrooms, but in this establishment, the decadence continued with swirled marble tile and pink ceramic bowls in the sink area. I even appreciated the small details in the dining area, such as the intricate crown molding on the walls. Drink: Queen of the Underworld. I thought at first when this was brought out that it wasn't the drink, but it was! The purple spirit sat in a glass skull with the 24-carat laying on top. The skull was wearing a gold heapiece and was sitting in a gold chalice. It was definitely one of the most ornately presented drinks I've had so far and delicious, dangerously delicious. I really felt like the Queen of the Underworld with this drink haha.Main: Shellcuterie. Basically, it is a combination of fresh seafood composed of oysters, yellowtail, scallops, and tuna. This was a fresh dish if you don't feel like something too heavy. Pescado Zarandeado: Grilled fish that's split in the middle and served with grilled onions and tortillas. The fish had more bones than I was expecting, so beware. I had to carefully pick through this to avoid the bones, which made this hard to eat. I did like the presentation and the dish is quite filling for two people. Dessert: 3 layer chocolate cake. This was just okay for me. Customer service was great, but be mindful that they do have a service charge close to 5%. I would definitely come back to try their breakfast!

After walking by Seventh House one afternoon, I pitched it to my friends as our next brunch spot because the vibes were IT!! I was so excited to try it! The food turned out being okay. It was good, but not great and nothing too special. I'm not sure if I would come back for the food - but our service was a solid 5/5 and so friendly!

My husband and I went there for a date night and we had different thoughts.Wife: I like fruity cocktails. I had Adam's Ex and Thyme And Place. I liked both but maybe Adam's Ex more. Again, they felt a bit generic but very fruity and refreshing. The vibe was great!! I loved how they decorated the place. It was pretty packed but still had enough space. They did a great job with Tarot theme and they even had a Tarot reader there. It was such a fun place.I will give 3.5 out of 5.Husband:2/5We were immediately draw in by the energy of the place. The decor definitely felt like the right mix of Victorian era parlor vibes and mysterious carnivalesque eccentricity. The wood panel & upholstered wall panels played well with the mismatched overhead single-bulb lamps. However, there was lack of airflow and ventilation that made the space quickly feel warm and stuffy. We left after an hour and walking outside into the breeze felt lovely. The staff was very responsive and friendly. My one problem there was the drinks. The first round we ordered was alright, nothing that wowed and amazed but they were tasty. The second round I ordered the bartender's choice cocktail option (listed on the menu as "F.A.F.O., F*** Around and Find Out") our server asked what the base alcohol I wanted was, and I said bourbon. The bartender did the bare minimum and made a whiskey with ginger-ale. I was expecting something unique--I wouldn't have even been upset if it was an experimental drink that didn't pan out or even a really basic old-fashioned/manhattan. But to not even try and just add a splash of soda felt almost disrespectful. I was immediately ready to leave. I guess I got what I deserved by ordering a drink that dared me to find out, but it definitely soured me on going back.
