the space needle in the background
a wall of colored lights
What a dump
a man standing on a platform in front of a laser light
View from the dance floor
Just the bar
On the 'dance' floor
Wow, sounds like a party
On the wall above the urinal
Dance floor upstairs
Behind this nondescript door lies a world of wonder...

So what to say about this place. As someone visiting and looking for something familiar of course you would go to the Eagle thinking it had roots to others one had been too.Well not the case. With that being said I was in town for 4 nights and went each night. The space is small and the aesthetic dated. But as a gay man in his late 30's it offers some resemblance to the bars in my youth. The first night I kinda just walked around but didn't take long and quickly asked the bartender where else to go. (Brix) the bartender was Very helpful. He suggested a few others to check out and I did.Yet I found myself returning before last call. The vibe I got fromThe Eagle is something i feel many of our current gay bars in big city's are losing. That sense of family/unity/community.I am definitely going to be recommending this place to anyone I know that is going to Seattle. It definitely passed the vibe check.

This place is not like any Eagle you've been anywhere else in the country. We always meet real cool guys here, but a leather bar it ain't. I actually heard Taylor Swift playing there!!! In an Eagle?! You gotta be kidding. But the bartenders are really cool and some awesome dudes hang out here.

I've been here a few times over the decade, after the pandemic it seems to be about the same! It was very slow on a Friday but nice enough, they old school dive bar/leather bar is a classic that never gets old. Nice walk-over upstairs, the back porch was a little smoky and that doesn't appeal, but bartenders were very nice, laid back and pretty quiet (probably busy Saturday based on other reviews)

friendly bar where the bartenders go out of their may to make sure everyone feels welcome. Its a small place you might miss if you're not paying attention but that is part of the charm.

Cool divey bar with lots of friendly people... scored a free birthday shot from a handsome bartender and had a good time taking in the scene... kinda small, kinda raunchy, but very inviting. Drinks aren't too strong, but the prices are just right. This place isn't the most obvious from the outside, but worth an experience for sure.

I know some reviews left by women say it's not welcoming. It is, if you aren't a woman trying to appropriate space meant for gay men. Super nice bar staff, great guys to meet up with, and lots of fun to be had. Strong drinks, good music and a great masculine vibe. Perfect gay bar.

The "come to daddy" event had a $15 cover and $4 clothes check! The crowd was alright but the drinks were $10 wells served in the tiniest of plastic cups! This bar does have the worst drinks in town! Avoid!

It's definitely a place to get a drink, but bonkers to charge 10-15$ cover for a bar lacking in both the atmosphere and energy to warrant it. If you're imagining the Eagle in SF, NYC, Portland or LA you will be sorely disappointed. Staff is super nice, but can't justify the cover for a pedestrian bar experience given the other options in the area

PSA: NOT ALL ARE WELCOME HERE. We had the most shockingly rude and uncomfortable experience here last night. My friend brought us here because she has been here before and said this was a really fun gay bar. When my group walked into the bar and walked further in to check out the vibe of the bar in the back, the bartender at the bar in the front angrily shouted at us that we didn't show him our IDs when we first came in. When we said sorry and walked back up to the front bar, the group of guys chilling at the bar with the bartender stared all of us down and started saying things like "you know this is a gay bar right?", "there are other places you could go", "why are you guys here?" all while bartender was angrily repeating that we didn't show him our IDs earlier. We were in shock at how they were treating us and knew that we were clearly not welcome here, so right after showing him our IDs we decided to leave and wished them a good night. I've never been to a bar with such a mean, unwelcoming group of staff and regulars before. This shouldn't matter at all, but some of our group are lgbtq. I guess if you're not a group of gay men, you will be passive aggressively (or aggressively) shooed out.
