The Savory and Sweet

Visiting the area and had savory crepes at this lovely cafe. The best ham and cheese crepe I've ever had, including the one in Paris. The crepe was perfectly cooked, the ham and Gruyère were subtle and lovely. My daughter had the pesto crepe and she also loved it. Beautiful food and lovely staff.

A fantastic catering service! Karen catered my sister's baby shower and every detail was perfect. The ordering and communication was easy and took the stress off of worrying about the food. I felt her prices were fair and the portions were great! The food was beautiful and appetizing. I would highly recommend her for future events.

I stopped in with a friend and got a Rueben sandwich to go. The servers and staff were nice, but my main complaint is with the portion size to price. I get with COVID everyone had to raise their prices but I paid $15 dollars for a regular sized sandwich...Food is good and it's a cute place, but I probably won't be coming back anytime soon.

I had a sit-down lunch today for the first time in a while. The chicken artichoke crepe was as delicious as ever and I had the French onion soup for the first time. It was one of the best homemade ones I've had. And I have tried and made many! I also had a delicious latte with chocolate and whipped cream. It was so good. It was like a gourmet hot chocolate. One of my favorite things about this visit is that when I ordered extra French onion soup to take home, the cafe prepared it like a kit with soup in one container, cheese in another, and toast slices in a paper bag. I was able to go home, heat up the soup, and put it in a ramekin, then place the toast and cheese on top. Then I broiled the whole thing in the oven. I'm very excited to do this again in the future.

The tomato basil soup was lick-the-bowl delicious and our coffee and mocha were top notch! Fun find when walking to the Saturday farmers market. Some vegetarian options but few if any vegan options. The veggie breakfast burrito was nice according to the husband but my tomato, pesto, mozzarella panini was rather bland (the soup made up for it!). Definitely worth a stop. We'll be back.

Food: Absolutely delicious! The cute sign drew me in with the promises of crepes. And it did not disappoint. I ordered the Wild mushroom crepe and it was tasty. I love that I get to see the chef preparing my meal. I'll have to try their desserts next time, the Tea Cakes are made in house. Such a cute little cafe with friendly staff and delicious food. I had half of a club sandwich and a cup of tomato basil soup. Both were delicious! Thank you for a lovely lunch, I will be back!

The service here is the main reason I'm leaving this review. The gals working were so welcoming and sweet that it made the food taste even better. I started off with a Rueben that was piled high with meat and the perfect ratio of sauce and sauerkraut. A latte and a pecan bar for desert had me leaving with a smile on my face.

We highly recommend The Savory and Sweet for any event. The food was delicious and the owner Karen was so great to work with. We will use the catering services again!

I booked Karen for a last minute catering gig and was excited that the menu she put together looked filling and was within budget for our party of 30. She delivered the food over a half hour late (15 mins before guests arrived) and neglected to bring any serving utensils, cutlery, napkins, or plates, even though I'd requested it in our discussions. When I called her to ask about the utensils, she swore I never asked for them and forgot to hang up the phone before calling me a F*cking B!tch so loudly that our bartender and party guests all heard her. The food was mediocre at best, but her absolute lack of professionalism is baffling. At least disconnect the call before cussing out your client
