The Sandwich Spot has been popping up on my feeds recently so when my husband suggested sandwiches, I thought we should give it a try. From the outside, it looks like everything else in the plaza, but once you walk inside you're greeted by mouth-watering scents, clean and bright colors, and friendly employees. The menu is written across the wall behind the counter with bright colors and fun names which just made it more enticing. My husband knew immediately what he wanted - #1 The Grand Canyon, which is their version of an Italian sub. It took me a bit longer to decide. Everything looked good with so many interesting combinations. I forgot nally settled on #20 The Snake Bite which is Hot Roast Beef, bacon, BBQ sauce and cheddar cheese. And added lettuce, tomato, pickles and onions. I got mine on the sourdough. My husband went with the Dutch Crunch roll and when I saw his sandwich, part of me wished I'd tried the Dutch Crunch too. Now that's not to say there was anything wrong with the sourdough, and there definitely wasn't. My sandwich was absolutely delicious! Roast beef was warm, bread was soft. Bbq sauce added a nice sweetness to offset the sharp cheddar. It was just a delicious mix of flavors. There are a total of 28 sandwiches on the menu. We plan to try every one of them.Service was also great. We were warmly welcomed as soon as we walked in the door, and conversation flowed smoothly. This may sound odd as it applies to a business, but the conversation never felt forced or fake. It was enjoyable. I wish I had his name, but the person who took our order mentioned that the 4 most popular items on the menu are #1, 2, ,12 and 16. He offered suggestions but nothing at all pushy. Just an overall great experience! We'll be back. We've got 26 more sandwiches to try.

Sandwiches were fantastic especially for the price. My girlfriend and I got the Rueben and the State 48. Both delicious and just hit the spot. I will say that we wish the meat was hotter just because of the cold veggies, but that's literally the only "knock" on the sandwiches.Service was second to none. Super friendly people who you can tell they care about their customers. Will definitely be back!

W O W ! Its been a few weeks since I stopped and I am still dreaming of their Grand Canyon sandwich. The Dutch Crunch bread!!!!! OMG it is so good and I really cannot stress enough how much everyone needs to try it. Add everything (mayo, mustard, secret sauce, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, peppers), it will elevate any sandwich you get. They have lots of sandwich options and you choose the bread you want, which is also a good variety. They are served cold, and I am not sure if there is an option to warm this up. I am mentioning this as I am pregnant and ended up heating mine up at home to be safe. Otherwise cold is great too! Super friendly and helpful staff. We told them it was our first time and they were patient with us and walked us through everything. They have chips, drinks, and desserts! We just got sandwiches and AZ Lemonade, but I will be getting a brownie next time.Really cute inside the shop and its in a quaint plaza with many other businesses. One of the best sandwich spots in the valley!!

The Sandwich - Spot, while the name is licensed, this is not a franchise. They operate independently. They've been open almost a year now. My husband has been here several times, he always comes here when he has meetings nearby. It so happened today that I had a meeting nearby, so I got to try it out!!I ordered the half (#Grand Canyon on Dutch Crunch with all the fixings and garlic oil and a side of Salt & Vinegar Chips. The service was friendly, and staff was helpful in providing recommendations. I was told the customer favorites are the #1, 2, 16, and 12 - in that order.

The Sandwich Spot is a fast casual restaurant located in a small strip mall. It's tucked away in the back and easy to miss if you don't see the street side sign. (That's easy to do if you're paying attention to traffic.)I happened to visit in December and the entire place was decked out in holiday decorations. There's a tv for videos (the Jackson 5 helped to entertain diners). The dining room was clean and there's free water available for those who care to hydrate. The service was fast and friendly. I ordered The Havasu: Hot Turkey, Cranberry and Cream Cheese. I didn't care much for the cream cheese. It wasn't bad, just not my preference. I'd never paired it with turkey before. Otherwise, the sandwich was good and the cranberry added to the holiday flair. For dessert, I tried the brownie. They offer it warmed, but I opted for a chilled one to take home, instead. It was chewy and chocolate-y and would order it again. The price was a bit steep for what you get. A sandwich, brownie, tax and tip (no drink) was around $20. Overall, my experience at The Sandwich Spot was a good and I'd recommend it if you're not price sensitive.

EAT HERE!! Best sandwich I've had probably my entire time living in Arizona. Bread is great. Sandwich ingredients are fresh & plentiful. The flavor is unmatched. Speed of service & friendliness is on point. The sourdough roll satisfied my craving for that bread. I got to taste theDutch Crunch roll too; delicious! Chill music in the dining area with very comfy seats & tables. Great job Sandwich Spot!! Thank you.

The Sandwich Spot is a dope little sandwich spot...I was craving a sandwich BADDD, so I scrolled through Yelp for a bit and stumbled upon this gem. I also noticed my Yelp homie had posted a few pics of sammies she's gotten from here before and I knew it had to be a good place! (HOLLER... Sara M!)I ordered The Vortex (#16) on Dutch Crunch bread. Delicious! It checked all the boxes for easing my sammy craving! The gentleman that took my order was super nice as he walked me thru some of the menu items. And they've got plenty of different sammies to choose from!In addition, they also sell AZ Lemonade Stand drinks here! SCORE!I plan on coming back again. Super nice staff. Super clean restaurant. Plenty of parking. Delicious sammies and AZ lemonade. Enjoy!

We love sandwiches and were looking for a new spot which brought us to The sandwich spot. We got a 602 which had the works and a 2 other turkey/plain-ish sandwiches. It was pretty busy during lunchtime but the order process moved quickly. The sandwiches are large, the fixings are fresh but the bread to meat ratio is a bit more than I prefer in a sandwich. I would love to come back and try a sandwich as a salad, not sure if that's an option? Did also try the macaroni and potato salads but nothing super special about them.Overall, if you love that big Dutch crunch/French bread sandwich style sandwich then this place will knock your socks off!

Omg, finally a good deli sandwich shop near me. Why is it so hard to find a good sandwich in the valley? Okay, there are a few but not as many as we should for the 5th largest US city. I have to add this one to my new favorite list. First off, it is locally owned not corporate owned so I love that. It is owned by a chef too. It is apparent he loves his craft.Second off, this had to be one of the best dining experiences I have ever had from a customer service angle and I have had a lot of food experiences all over the country in my life. It makes me laugh to see those words being written. Yes, it was for lunch, yes I was in jean shorts, no, it was not a fine dining establishment but a small shop, and yes for a sandwich place. It is true. This is what owning a business you love is all about. Showing appreciation for your customers, and giving great customer care. Right? When I walked in the door Max was working the counter. Another young man worked the back. Sorry I did not get his name. They thought of everything. Max even asking my permission to pick out the potato salad he was going to give me. I had to laugh since they were prepacked and that was totally unnecessary. However, it just shows you the detail he wanted to express to me with his service. He let me try all their homemade sauces and even bought me a cookie since it was my first visit and my birthday next week. What????? Again, not needed but how lovely is that?Third off, so now onto the food. OMG, the Bomb!!!!!!! All of the food is homemade, from the sauces to the desserts. I ordered the State48 sandwich. Friends who know me will know why. lol. It was freaking amazingly delish! Their homemade pesto and potato salad is some of the best I have had ever, and certainly high up there for Phoenix standards. The 8 inch sandwich was huge so I took half home. That made a wonderful dinner with the cookie for dessert.I am a bit of a cookie snob monster. I have to say it was pretty darn good. Max claims their Blueberry Cheesecake is the best in town. I will have to go back to test that claim. The thing is, and I can tell you right now, Max will not have to twist my arm for that challenge. They are a new business, only opened since January so go check them out. They are in the small strip mall just east and behind those Dutch coffee people. Ha! Thanks Chef, Max, and sandwich maker guy in the back kitchen, you all made my day by spoiling me so much.
