This place is a hidden gem. You walk in, you're greeted by the owner, Arthur, super nice guy. Makes you feel at home, take your order, and calls you by name. Very, very friendly. The staff is also nice,They were taking time to clean the restaurant which felt like that's a daily occurrence, not common place anymore in a lot of places. The food was really good, great flavor did not feel like a traditional sandwich place that uses overly processed meats. I would definitely be back here.

This spot is great, definitely feels a bit underrated because I've never heard anyone mention it before. They make really good, high quality sandwiches here with reasonable prices.The hours are the only challenging thing because they are not open during the weekends and that's when I mostly in the area. If you ever need lunch during the week though, check them out!

I was bumbling around El Cajon looking for a place to eat. I thought of having a homemade sandwich with a bag of chips, which is what brought me here. This is a quaint little spot that was relatively busy. I perused the menu on the wall (very helpful) and ordered with the gentleman at the counter. I was going to take it to go, but wanted to experience the vibe here. I ordered an East County Native sandwich with turkey bacon and avocado. It was a bit messy, but good. I was full and happy. Great customer service! My sandwich could have been cleaner (avocado finger marks on the outside), but tasted fine. Thanks for the pickle! I'll see u guys again..

Stopped in for lunch. I love a cold sandwich on a warm day. Owner was in Front taking orders. I got their #1. Delicious. Thank you

I have to drop 1 star as my guest who joined me on the last visit felt her no protein salad was overpriced and the croutons were inedible. What a bummer!. While I love dogs, not everyone wants a stranger's dog in their face as they eat. My guest didn't like that a customer's dog (on a long leash) was allowed to roam around all the other tables...

I was in the area and WOW this place got me. Off the bat, the owner was very friendly and it shows how much work he's put into this place. The sandwich I had was top tier. I ordered the Rockin Ronnie which comes with turkey, salami, and chipotle mayo. I mean this sandwich melted in my mouth. To top it off I got their homemade chocolate chip cookies to end my lunch with something sweet. This is a must-try deli to add to your list! I look forward to trying more sandwiches off their menu

Tried something a little different today and it exceeded my expectations!! I've never been disappointed by anything I've ordered here but this wrap was exactly what I was craving with flavors that exploded in every bite!! Another win for Sandwich Bags in my book! Highly recommend #20 (Jody's Special), add avocado and grilled onions and in a spinach wrap!! Totally hit the spot for this nursing Mama!! Thanks Art and crew for being consistent and satisfying every sandwich craving I get!

First time here today. Arthur the owner is a hoot to talk to. We had a hot pastrami sandwich and a small chicken tortilla soup.Sandwich is so big my hubby had half for dinner tonight. My soup was delicious and service was excellent.We will definitely be back for breakfast because the menu looks amazing.Thanks Arthur and gang for a great lunch. .
