The Salty Shack

We sat inside octopus bar and ordered from the salty shack and the food was great for a bar! For the ceasar salad wrap and there was so much flavor in the sauce and crunch from the goldfish! Get their tater tots with veggie chilli and the taste is amazing!!

I used to think this business was ok, I had ordered here dozens of times. I had a question today about something on their menu. I tried to call and ask about it. They place so little value on you as a customer they aren't willing to speak with you. Then they have the audacity to ask for 20%, 25%, or 30% tip. No I'm not tipping you when you won't even pick up the phone or write a sufficiently descriptive menu. This was the last time I suggest we order here again.

I've gotten delivery once and take out once. The photos are from my delivery experience. I got a chili cheese dog, jalapeño poppers, and chicken tender basket. Oh, and a vodka lemonade - you can get cocktails delivered via DoorDash! Everything was super good, especially the chili cheese dog. They were really generous with the chili (a full cup of it) and it was delicious. The lemonade is made from scratch and I really enjoyed that, as well - not too sweet.When we did takeout, we each got a sandwich, and we also got a Chicago dog, "chum bucket" w/ tots, and a handful of cocktails. I'd had kind of a bad week and was basically like, I don't even care, let's just get whatever we want even if it's an insane amount of stuff, haha. They do single serving craft cocktails for takeout in little cans, which is pretty cool. And they were SO GOOD (all with very clever nautical-themed names). I think our favorite was the "No Ship Sherlock" seasonal Moscow mule. The Chicago dog was amazing - based on this and my previous chili cheese dog, I can say without hesitation that their hotdogs are 100% 10/10. The "chum bucket" tots were also really good, and again came with a very generous full cup of chili. I hate to say it because everything else was so good, but the sandwiches were pretty disappointing for the price, we both thought. I had a tuna sandwich and my bf had a veggie sandwich. They used fresh, quality ingredients, but both sandwiches were kind of bland, and a lot smaller than we were expecting for $14 apiece. That's the only reason I dropped a star, but aside from that, they are 5 star all the way.So, we would not revisit the sandwiches, but hotdogs and cocktails HELL YES YES YES!! Anything involving the chili is also highly recommended. And although I didn't really go into detail about it, chicken tenders were good, too (there were more in there than what the photo shows) - crispy and well-seasoned, and more than what I was expecting.

Not great. I mean... untoasted white bread? As others have reviewed: tasteless, bland, overpriced. I'm a terrible cook and I can make a better sandwich than this.

I straight up goggled Tuna Melt Near Me and this place popped up in the list. The description of tuna, capers, mayo, celery and onion on Macrina bread with cheddar and tomato = Yum. Right now (during Covid) the place is a walk-up window, but I'd love to sit in the Octopus Bar once it's open. It looked like a theme park. The sandwich was good and that crust will really make you use your teeth when ripping off a bite. The tots were well cooked and the spicy aioli was nice too. I liked the little carry box and the newspaper print tissue paper liner. They also included a lil' treat of a dum dum and under-the-sea gummies. Be forewarned, just like it's namesake - the food is salty!

I haven't been this excited to see a Seattle dog on a menu since 2019 (pre-covid when they were on every corner)! Sooooo happy Octopus Bar opened this quick pit stop, making us all feel one step closer to going to back to bars and restaurants care free!

Sandwiches are terrific; we've ordered 5 different times. Hearty, and flavorful. Got it? Delicious sandwiches!

Food quality and service were definitely it! We were at the Octopus Bar and got some food from the Salty Shack to go with our drinks. We were pleasantly surprised by how tasty the food was. It came quickly, and the servers were very attentive. It honestly felt like restaurant-quality food. I highly recommend the food; they didn't skimp out on the ingredients.

Lunch review: This is the food service attached to the Octopus Bar. We had the tots with nacho cheese and two hot dogs. Wow so good, that homemade cheese sauce was excellent! Spicy but not in a hurt you later sort of way. I had the plain dog on a gf bun with ketchup and the hubs had a Seattle dog. Both were awesome, great grilled flavor. Now onto the Octopus Bar, this place is massive but at 2 on a Monday there were only a few people. The waitstaff were excellent, so nice. I really loved it here and will be back. Also loved the $11 beer/shot combo. Great value in Seattle.

I had a tuna melt wrap with tater tots and stuffed jalapenos. I had actually meant to order a tuna melt sandwich but wasn't paying attention, but the wrap was really, really good.
