The Salty Donut

Amazing spot for a coffee and a decadent snack. Their lovely display of current offerings makes it easier to pick and there are always a fair amount of seasonal flavors that make it worthwhile to drop by again. They also close late for a donut/coffee place, so it's really great if you're craving a snack later in the day. I recommend the variety donut holes if you're looking for something lighter as their donuts are pretty big! My favorite so far has been the candied pistachio donut- sweet with slight crunch and salty notes. Seating available indoors and outdoors. It gets fairly crowded during peak hours. Parking options nearby: limited street parking (basically only available 11-3 on a weekday) or paid parking at the Krog St Market lot/garages.

"Cinnamon Twist"Loved the different take on a cinnamon roll, never seen a cinnamon roll in a twist form. "Candied Pistachio White Chocolate"Loved the extra pistachio bits on top, not sure if the other flavors mixed but the lemon bits were a good contrast to the sweetness. "Key lime Pie" Key lime flavor pie but donut form, strong lime filling. "Vegan Mango Creamsicle" My favorite from the half dozen. Mango jelly was perfection, perfectly sweet and a little tart from the jelly. Very very tasty . "Matcha Latte (with oat milk)"Strong matcha flavor, not too sweet. *Vibe 5/5The seasonal donut visual menu was very helpful. Tip: I believe the freshness of the donuts could be better if you could came earlier when they open. I came around 5pm and donut quality was still good.

It would have been a cool place to hangout but definitely will not recommend to others. Customer service sucks, rude employees and very disappointed with the menu. Why have a menu out when nothing is available except 6 donuts??? So disappointed! Too think we drove far to get here only to be disappointed. Donuts were dry and nothing special about it. Spent $10 for something that could have been bought at the store.

So many creative donuts it was hard to choose. I had the strawberry cheesecake donut and it was delicious!

Best donut shop in Atlanta! We were visiting from out of town and stopped in one morning to grab a few donuts to try. We ordered a brown butter salt, whipped lemon ricotta, and a salted caramel chocolate chip cronut. All of them were absolutely delicious.

The Salty Donut is by far the best donut spot I've been to in a while! I ordered the 2 Traditional Glazed, Caramel Pull Apart Monkey Bread, Brown Butter & Salt, 2 Maple & Cinnamon Twist, and the Honey Butter Cinna-bun Donut. While everything was delicious, the Maple & Cinnamon Twists were my absolute favorite I'll definitely be coming back for those! Highly recommend giving this place a try if you're a donut lover!

First time having these (I ordered through door dash) they were delicious! I will definitely visit the store when I'm in the area. The only cons I have are; there's a limited selection on door dash so my options were scarce. The lemon filled donut was OK not too sweet at all, just OK. the maple twisted donut 10/10. Definitely my go to.

TLDR: Every donut tastes amazing! The service is quick since the donuts are pre-prepped and the interior gives clean, coffee shop vibes. Decent pricing $5-10. First time coming here last week after hearing so much about it... and I finally understand the hype! The donuts taste fresh, not too sweet, and remind me of a funnel cake texture. I like the classic but can't wait to try the other flavors! If you don't like too much sugar, get the classic donut holes!A must try for donuts at Krogg Street Market :)

3.3/5I've been eyeing this place for a while and was finally able to stop by to try it. Walking in no one said anything or even acknowledged us when were looking at the donuts. We walked to the register to grab someone's attention.Drinks: The matcha was not very good, it tasted very weird almost like chemicals. My friend pointed out that it tasted like Salmon and once I tried it I couldn't help but agree with laughter. For the cold brew, you'd think by the name it would have a little sweetness to it, but no. It was not very tasty or even strong in the maple flavor. My friend only finished the drink because he paid for it. Neither of us would get it again. Donuts: I will say I loveeee the presentation of their donuts, they are so nicely decorated. But the taste did not live up to the looks. After a bite of the blueberry crumb, I bursted out laughing from how dry it was. The texture was completely unexpected, I think maybe we just got it at the wrong time and it could be better fresh. The white chocolate and chai donut was just okay. The donut wasn't as soft as I expected, and the chai flavor seemed to come from some liquid that's inserted into the donut. I do like that they weren't overly sweet, but I wouldn't get it again. For my friend, he liked the blueberry donut, but didn't care for the chai one.Overall: I do plan to go back only because they have so many fun flavored donuts and I love sweets lol. I just hope I find the donut that's for me. As far as parking, we walked the Beltline to get here. Luckily, it's across from Krog Street Market, so there's parking across the street in the deck. Will update once I try another donut or two.

The Salty Donut offers a wide range of seductively decadent and complex flavored donuts. I tried the Chocolate Glazed Chocolate Brioche, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Whipped Lemon Ricotta Bomboloni, and the Cinnamon Pear Crumble. All of which were very delicious and well thought out flavors from someone who truly understands flavor. I'll admit, none of the donuts knocked my socks off but they were all very fun to eat. I'll have to visit again and try some other flavors that I missed.
