Great diner. Staff was very kind and attentive. We ate brunch and enjoyed our food- eggs benedict with hash browns. There were cute window paintings/decorations for the holidays.

The Rose Restaurant is a cute greasy spoon in Puyallup. We stopped here for breakfast before going to the Puyallup Fair. They are open pretty early (8 AM everyday). There was plenty of free street parking nearby.I ordered the Eggs Benedict (poached eggs, Canadian bacon, and hollandaise sauce on an english muffin) served with hashbrowns or country fried potatoes. I enjoyed my food and it was the perfect portion for one meal. They were very generous with the hollandaise sauce. My husband got the Buttermilk Stack (two buttermilk pancakes, two eggs any style, choice of bacon/sausage links/patty/Canadian bacon, and add blueberries/strawberries/chocolate chips). He also liked his food but it was a lot and he couldn't finish it.Our server was nice. She took our order promptly, kept our coffee cups full, and checked on us after we received our food. We enjoyed our experience here and we would definitely stop in again the next time we are in the area.

Nice, little breakfast spot downtown Puyallup with amazing service. We were greeted and seated promptly. Most tables were filled at 10am on a Thursday. Coffee was filled constantly and food came out hot and tasty. The two young guys working were fantastic. Very personable and clean cut. Hot sauce selection was great. We had 6 to choose from ON our table. One star taken off for cleanliness. Could be better. We will return to The Rose.

Stumbled here on a warm Sunday while walking around puywallup and got a seat at the bar top right away! The owner was our server and he was so kind and funny. The food was absolutely delicious and fairly priced. Watching the restaurant work you can tell people are happy and there are good vibes among the staff and the customers! Really loved it here and will be back!

Firmly "just ok"The wait staff was polite, it's nice supporting small businesses, a good location...but unfortunately I will not be going back. I ordered a mushroom and swiss burger that came with 'rose sauce'. It tasted just like ketchup mixed with something. I was very much not a fan of this and should've just asked for it to be taken off of the bill, but said ok to having it remade. They clearly scraped the toppings with no sauce from the first one because there were hardly any when it came back out. The mushrooms and onions are a big part of what makes this burger good. The burger patty was cold and the new Swiss slice was also not melted at all. I'm kicking myself for paying nearly $20 a plate for food that wasn't good. Thus, I won't be back

We tried The Rose on Sunday and wanted to get there early as the other reviews said they get busy and are not very big inside. Well where do I begin. It was not busy, it was small inside. Now to the service, not sure but this person could not hear anything we told him. We had to repeat 2-3 times what we wanted. And they still got it wrong. Onto the food, the on-line menu says Creamed Beef and as a kid my mom made it all the time. When asked if they had it because the actual menu did not We got a look like we were crazy. So no they didn't have it. So ordered the next (I was hoping) best thing. Sausage gravy and biscuits. With two eggs and side of bacon. The meal arrived, but "Wait a minute here" where is the sausage gravy, cause it looks like someone forgot to add the sausage and it was just plain old white gravy and not very good gravy. It was unseasoned and bland as paste, well paste has more flavor. The eggs were cooked wrong and the biscuits (if you can call them that) were packaged (sorry my perception here) type and dry as a rock, even though it had "sausage gravy on them". Then there is the temperature. As in not being any too hot but Luke warm. Did you tell someone you ask? Yes and I got new eggs but figured anything else I had an issue with would not have improved so I used the new eggs to warm up the other stuff. Also who doesn't have decaf coffee? Wait, for it, wait for it, They don't!So will we be NOT returning as there was nothing else we saw that was interesting enough to go back for. Because if you can't do simple breakfast why return.
