The cover fee is $10 to enter the club. You have to take the stairs down to get to the bar, dance floor, and bathroom. There is nothing special about this club. The music was decent, but it did feel like the music was constantly changing even though people were quite into the song that would be playing at the time. There was still space to move around in the club, but the closer you were to the dj and bar it was more crowded there, as expected.

Take your $10 cover and go to The Woods if you want rap/hip-hop/pop music and dance floors. Rhino Room has decent rap music from the 2000s blasting but subpar dance floors - you're not even dancing. You're just awkwardly standing there waiting to get a drink, and once you get a drink, you stand awkwardly on the side because people in the middle of the dance floor are too pushy. And this is if you even get in. Some of the bouncers here have a superiority complex and will not hesitate to kick you out / ban you from entering for random stupid things.

Note that Rhino Room IS OPEN and currently requires PROOF OF VACCINATION (physical card OR phone picture with valid ID are both accepted). Also, there is a $10 entry fee at the door (cash or card are accepted). This was my first time at Rhino Room and one of the first times going out with friends since Covid. We went at around 10:45PM (doors open at 10 I think) and there was no line. We all brought proof of vaccination and so the line went quickly and smoothly. The top floor is currently closed, and so we were only able to explore the bottom floor. The bottom floor is nicely decorated though with leaves on all of the walls, giving it a rainforest effect. The male and female bathrooms were marked by lit up eggplant and peach neon signs which were pretty humorous. They also have a couple of seating alcoves towards the back which could fit about 12 people per booth. Oh and they have a water dispenser and plastic cups on one wall which is nice and convenient! My friends and I all got AMFs. They put them in tall glasses with a lemon but were pretty weak compared to AMFs I've had elsewhere. I also got a Guava Mule later on in the night, but it had a funny aftertaste; the AMF was definitely better. It's nice that they have a menu with their signature drinks including boozy slushees! All drinks run at about $12. As far as service, the bouncers were friendly and welcoming. The bartenders were also super nice and we didn't have to wait long for our drinks. We also were easily able to get seats at the bar while waiting so we didn't have to stand much.I'm terms of atmosphere, it was obviously dark and there weren't too many light effects. The DJ (DJ Boogie played the weekend I went) played some throwbacks which was fun. It definitely got more crowded as the night went on, but that was to be expected.I'd say Rhino Room is more of a college club, and so there was a lot more grinding going on in comparison to other clubs in Cap Hill. But there were a lot of people just dancing with friends and having fun too :)Overall: 3/5 for drinks, 4/5 for service, 4/5 for atmosphere

I've only been here once but my friends and I had a great time! There's a ground floor and another floor downstairs. Both floors had bars. The dance floor downstairs was packed but mostly everyone was dancing and not just standing around, so it was a good time (due to the fun music choice!) Bartenders were super cool. Restrooms were also very clean which I always appreciate at a club (loved seeing the handwritten notes on the stalls in the women's restroom haha).

Got kicked out after an hr of dancing. Trying to get as much as coverage as possible. Not worth your $10 coverage. Do not recommend going there if you want a night out with your friends.

I have a couple things to say about The Rhino Room.To start, my friends and I were hesitant to come here after reading reviews about the bouncers "kicking people out for no reason". We didn't have anything to worry about. The bouncers were all professional, reasonable, and polite. If you're respectful of the people around you and not falling over everyone else, you won't have a problem here. Second, it's a really cool space. The disco balls, greenery walls, and neon signs were a total vibe. The bathrooms were super cute and very CLEAN. There's a water dispenser built into the wall adjacent to the dance floor so you don't have to wait at the bar for water. There was plenty of seating in the form of comfortable booths. We left to bar hop for a bit and came back because our groups consensus was that The Rhino Room and The Queer Bar had the best music of the places we went to but the drinks were way better at The Rhino Room. The Lychee Slushie was so good. Third, and lastly because it's not advertised, they have a coat and bag check which was great because it was rainy and cold. And there isn't a 10$ cover fee if you arrive before 10pm.

"Walk to the dark blue car" said the top dawg bouncer. Between the black and dark blue car, my friend picked the black car. I mean, why those 2 colors, especially in the dark too, for your "test". Completely biased. We were respectful, but top dawg bouncer making minimum wage was on a power trip

the music was good and we had a great time, two girls out of our group got kicked out apparently for falling over while kissing. This must have been a misunderstanding because they weren't that drunk. We've been drinking but none of us were at that level. We tried to get back in after meeting them outside, and we said we thought the bouncers who kicked our friends out where homophobic as they were kissing men literally a few minutes before and it was no issue. As they were kicked out, they asked the bouncer to tell the other girls in our group what was going on. They told them they know who their friends were and would find us on their own. They simply did not. Then the bouncers at the front door we were talking to about this immediately said not to use the word "homophobic" as the bouncers were all gay and it reflects badly on "the establishment." 1. We don't care about the bar as a business 2. for the bouncer to tell us that we cannot use the word "homophobic" as queer women is ridiculousMy point with this post is that there was no difference in the way my friends were acting with men they were with men and eachother. This bar says they're not anti lgbtq because the workers identify as such, but bias within the community exists especially when a work place is based on who we interacted with white people. For them to deny queer women what our experience was is not a good look, especially when they literally tell us to not say our opinion based on how it reflects on the bar is ridiculous and unprofessional.

Music is mediocre at best and the dance floor is dead for a good part of the night. Bouncers have a major superiority complex. My friend asked one of them to move away from the water fountain so that others could get to the water. A couple minutes later, three other guards come up and physically lifted her off the ground and carried her out of the building. No explanation as to why this occurred and they did not think to ask us to leave prior to physically LIFTING my friend out. We would've happily left if they asked us to. Drinks are expensive and are not worth the price. I refuse to visit this venue again.

Music is mediocre and the dance floor is pretty much dead most of the time. Been kicked out for literally no reason the security guards have a sense of superiority and like to tell people what to do. The drinks are alright for the price. I'd recommend going to the woods over this place. Save your 10bucks cover charge and get yourself a Seattle dog instead.
