The Restaurant - Friday Harbor House

Very small , but very good. The banana foster French toast was very good. My wife loved it. Atmosphere cute and quaint. Service was great. I ordered Eggs Benedict, my only negative, eggs well done. Benedict should always have a runny yolk. But the hollandaise sauce was very tasty and full of flavor. The fried potatoes and arugula salad was delicious. Overall very good. Give it try.

Wow everything was just great. Got a beautiful seat outside with a view of the harbor. Our waiter Max, was very helpful with suggestions from the menu and nice explanations of the food. The service was outstanding. The food was literally amazing. The chef's unique style came through in every dish. The depth of flavor of our soup, the amazing mix of smoke, sweet and spicy of our carrot and even the burger was tasty and the French fries were out of this world. They also had some amazing cocktails but we didn't try this time. Definitely coming back.

You're on vacation in Friday Harbor.You see this restaurant come up on Yelp. It has good reviews. You see throngs of silver haired elite enjoying locally sourced higher mid level dining.Then the food arrives. And it couldn't be more underwhelming if they did so intentionally.People shouldn't need to ask for salt and pepper at something other than a breakfast spot or a chain restaurant. The mushroom risotto was offensive. The poblano cauliflower poblano soup was an affront to God.I'm giving it 2 stars instead of one because the service was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, our servers didn't prepare our food... some person that wants to leave Friday Harbor and never return likely made our food. We could taste their malaise with each bite. I felt like asking the server if the kitchen staff needed a hug because the food tasted like childhood trauma. I know what you're doing. You don't have competition. You think you can do whatever and people will gleefully shove it down their throats. Maybe they will. But I won't. Never again. Sorry for the angry tone of this review but I took my girlfriend here on her birthday and, well, it wasn't fulfilling... to say the least.

Added another great spot to go in Friday Harbor tonight! Simply called, "The Restaurant at Friday Harbor House" is located just off the lobby of the Friday Harbor House hotel. The indoor seating area is pretty small but they have a large outdoor seating patio area for good weather.We started with an appetizer of "Crispy Brussels" and it was amazing! Perfectly roasted with perfect texture and flavor. A must have if you like Brussels Sprouts as an appetizer! Next we had main courses of pan seared black cod, served on a bed of spinach with artisan tartar sauce and a side of mashed potatoes. The fish was wonderful, paired nicely with the spinach and tartar. The mashed potatoes were excellent and a large portion.I had the Harbor House Burger which is a half pound Wagu burger topped with bacon, cheese and fresh greens on a brioche bun. I absolutely loved it, cooked to perfection as I wanted it and full of flavor! I also had the duck fat French fries and they were so good! I was so full though that I couldn't finish the fries.Our server Elsa (not sure of spelling) was amazing as well and went above and beyond for us! If you come to Friday Harbor, eat here! You won't be disappointed! I recommend reservations especially in the peak season.

Firepits with epic views and cocktails! This is why you want to come here. I could sit here all night watching the ferries come in and out sipping bubbly. It is exactly what I did! 4 glasses later, and wow! It leads to a 5 star review! We love the fries here! The menu by the fire pit is limited so you will need reservations for a table if you want to enjoy dinner. One night there was they fit us in so we could enjoy dinner. The burger! Yes of course, that is what my husband ordered. It was so good! I had the filet tips and halibut ceviche. The ceviche is not your typical mexican ceviche so I probably wouldn't order it again. You will need a reservation on the summer weekends. The view makes it five stars! We just love coming here.

I frequently crave the Friday Harbor House burger- it makes my husband crazy when I can't stop talking about it- their burger is a work of art, and a staple. But it's always hard to choose from the fresh seafood dishes (that change with the season), beautiful salads with island produce, and the best duck-fat fries I've experienced. I have so many beautiful memories sitting outside with a gorgeous view of Friday Harbor with my family, being treated like family by the amazing staff. My husband and I are hosting a large family party for a special occasion, and we can't wait to share the experience.

The Friday Harbor House burger is the best burger I've had anywhere, ever! My husband and I have never ordered anything else here but why would we, the burger is delicious and the duck fat fries complement it perfectly. They have fine looking food options on the menu but if you're struggling to decide please know you can't go wrong with their burger. Can you tell by my review that I'm a bit obsessed. ;)

One of the best meals & services I had in a while. Max was OUTSTANDING as our server, down to earth, polite & just normal human with some jokes on the sides. Super easy to converse with. Food was amazing especially Boston Bibb Salad! OH MY GOSH. No words. just order it. Braised beef short rib melts in your mouth and it is served with mashed potatoes & carrots although they will substitute if needed and it was DELISH as well as Yellow Curry Clams. All - SO GOOD.
