The Railway Café

This is a great small Cafe breakfast shop! The sandwiches are huge and so tasty! We got some fresh baked scones. The lemon turnover and blueberry scone were delicious! Don't overlook the cookies against wall on the left. So good absolutely amazed. Thank you Yelpers for mentioning this place!

Very disappointed in a recent visit with two friends. I had a falafel type sandwich, which was very dry and bland. The others weren't at all impressed with their food. Not sure what has changed, but this was very different from previous experiences.Ambience was very difficult: we ate outside on the deck, and they had extremely loud music playing that was some of the worst noise ever committed to humanity. Didn't exactly make for a pleasant experience. Someone remarked that it was the workout music in an insane asylum.They also had some far out political newspapers at the register. Normally, I would ignore that, it's their business if they want to distribute that kind of stuff, but along with everything else, I'm wondering if there has been a change in ownership to account for the degraded food and environment.Needless to say, this place is off of our list.

Sandwich was delicious and coffee + cappacino was smooth. They have a cozy back room that looks over the sea. Our drinks were brought to us while we were at the room too.

This place was so good, we went twice! We absolutely loved everything about this place! The food, the desserts, the decor, the service! Don't hesitate, get there!

They are serious about their coffee - the sizes are also labeled with # of shots, and it starts with 2! Quirky cozy, a little something to eat for everyone. The small-but-mighty team makes your food to-order.

We've been eating at Railway since we moved to Blaine from Chattanooga, Tennessee, in 2017. It's one of our top local spots. Our favorites include the falafel and the tuna sandwich. The owners and staff are lovely folk, and the location is whimsical and comfortable.

Fine place! Ambiance awesome. Perfect place for coffee, pastry and enjoy the outside. Small space. 3 2-top tables inside then a coverage outdoor space. Comfy and cozy. Service was fine. Not overly friendly, but not rude. Food is good. Can't say it was special or great. Higher prices. But loved that we get to support a small business. Went for lunch. 3 paninis and soup. Feel like good quality, but not best panini in the world. Soup- actually no idea the cost- good, but simple no "toppings" and would have loved fresh bread vs saltine crackers. I could see stopping here again but for a scone and coffee for sure! :) the pastries looked amazing!!!

I had to do some work in Blaine and asked if there was a particularly good spot for coffee, the gentleman immediately pointed me towards this place. I am sooo happy he did! The Railway Cafe is a gem of a place. Everything looked so fresh and delicious! The owner is wonderful and made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. There is a covered outdoor area overlooking the marina as well as warm comfy space indoors. They had some fresh pastries displayed that looked devine. My coffee was excellent- like so good I decided to write a review about it. It was smooth and bitter (in a good way) and just the right balance of flavor. I would definitely make the 30 min drive from Bellingham for this spot.

Delicious!!! We stopped here for a quick brunch and oh did it deliver a good time. Amazing food, every bite was divine. All the signs inside, outside and in the bathroom were making me laugh out loud, just perfect Grabbed a box of pastries to go, made by the owner who was just fantastic. Will definitely be back when I'm back in the area
