The Porter

The Porter's reputation in Atlanta was already exalted, now it's impregnable. We've been back twice since it's reopened and everything has been stellar including the food and beer selection. The drafts are curated and seemingly constantly updated. You basically can't choose a bad beer from their draft list. We've had the chicken, shrimp roll, schnitzel, and the stout brownie. Dear god that brownie is crazy good. Give the Porter a visit.

I was very excited about The Porter opening back up in L5P. As a neighbor, it is awesome to have a new dining option in the community, especially with Corner Tavern closed right now. Overall they have a great vibe, nice staff, and decent food. The issue I ran into is that it seems to have a bit of a split personality. We walked in and sat at the bar, where the dining room is not visible. The bar very much has a high-end cocktail bar vibe but is actually more of a taproom (which is fine - but doesn't look it!). I tried their stone fruit whiskey sour, which was very sweet so then tried a regular whiskey sour which was so bad I couldn't drink it. Again, the bartenders were very very nice, but definitely stick with the beer list, which is very extensive! Once we had the chance after dinner to walk back to the dining room everything clicked - it definitely looks like a pub back there! I wish we'd seen that before we ordered. Same goes for the food; our expectations were a bit too high with the vibe at the bar. We had the tuna melt and burger. The burger was EXCELLENT, but the tuna melt is described as a "confit tuna melt" and it was described as an elevated version. Its really just a tuna melt lol. We'll be back for sure but with the gastropub lens!

Newly reopened spot in five points. They have a good food menu and a huge drink menu. If you like beer, this is a great spot. We got the goat cheese fritters and the smash burger. The fritters were so good! It came with 5 so plenty to split. The smash burger was pretty good. It came with a lot of fries!

The burger was amazingggg. We also got the pretzel bread which was good. The service made our entire experience. I'm not sure the guys name who served us but he made me and my boyfriends night!!! Everybody was so nice and it is very spacious. They allowed me to sit with my dog on the patio and were more than loving to him. We will be back !!!

We have been waiting for the Porter to reopen and it was worth the wait. Great food, great service and amazing beer list. Had the popcorn for an appetizer and the cauliflower steak for an entree. My partner had the veggie burger. Everything was fantastic. The remodeling was perfect. They kept the character of the original Porter but modernized it really well. Can't wait to enjoy it again and again!

What a great place. We went on a Wednesday before a concert at Aisle 5 down the street. They have so many different beer options. The bartender was extremely helpful with any questions I had about the menu or drinks. The bar is long with plenty of seats but it did fill up by 6:30.The pull apart pretzel and cheese was delicious. The pretzel had a soft interior and crispy crust it was more like pull apart bread than an actual pretzel but it was still good. The cheese was a bit thinner than I would have liked but it had really good flavor regardless.We split the smash burger with fries and it was to die for. It had tons of caramelized onions and cheesy goodness. Fries were crispy and very flavorful. We will be back!

We didn't know what to expect but saw the good reviews so we tried it and it truly is SPECTACULAR! The vibe is so chill, the service was great, the beverage selection is phenomenal and the food is absolutely DELICIOUS!! GREAT PLACE!

The manager of the porter (white lady) was extremely rude to us today. My mother is handicapped, she had hip surgery , so we were just resting here for a minute. She rudely told us get up and leave from tables outside if we weren't going to buy anything. Said because it's busy even though it was not busy at all.. Very uncalled for since the waiter before said it was okay we could sit here. Don't come to eat here unless you want your classic Karen taking care of you. :) I'd give 0 stars if I could!

Run, don't walk, to this place for brunch! Sausage gravy and biscuits were perfect. Eggs, perfect, too. Very nice salad. Goat cheese fritters to start were tart and fresh, rounded out by a touch of honey. The kitchen is well in command.

We lloved the ambiance and food! Pork Struetle was great..Very nice service too. It had a Cool retro vibe. Really cool prive party room too for 24 people lined with old beer bottles.
