The Pony Room

The view and ambiance are all a part of a well manicured hotel. Sadly I was underwhelmed, many people love this place. I will go back but this lunch service was so slow it was cringe worthy. We ordered an appetizer, it didn't show up and asked about it and still didn't come. Finally it arrived with our lunch, kind of sub par service for a $200 dollar lunch for two. Food was tasty, well seasoned and presented nicely.

This place is an amazing find. 4 stars because the service here can be spotty more so with the hostesses. On multiple occasions they have been very unwelcoming. Chris is our favorite server here and we love everything we ve tried with the exception of the crudo. It's not bad but it's not amazing either. The margarita menu is great. I d recommend ordered the piñata and asking for it spicy. Don't miss out on the soufflé.

This is my all time favorite restaurant! I've been going here for many years and recommend it to everyone I know! I love everything about the Pony Room. The food is delicious, the setting is gorgeous and the staff is so friendly. I've only had one upsetting experience there recently with a young hostess that had a terrible superior attitude which does not reflect what Rancho Valencia represents.

The pony room is a Hidden Gem to probably most San diegans and taurus. I want you for a brunch date over the weekend. I don't think I would have even discovered this place on my own. The Ambiance goes beyond the restaurant, as you drive through the resort to reach the restaurant itself. We sat on the outside patio, but the inside is a very elegant and classy Decor Style. The food is not fall short of the experience as well. We ordered the lobster Benedict and short rib benedict. And also ordered the giant cinnamon bun as a starter. We were even able to try a complimentary test or drink they are thinking about adding to their menu.This would be a great place to take a date, family while they're visiting, or celebrating a birthday or similar. It's a very chic, classy, and tucked away restaurant.

Still my favorite breakfast/brunch restaurant in San Diego. Quality food and excellent service every time. Relaxing vibes. Still the best margarita I've ever had, the el jefe! A few times I've had the brunch burger and it's delicious! Super filling and a treat but sooooo good!!Also came here for NYE and it was amazing. Loved the vibe. Lots of good food but really enjoyed the caviar special! First time trying the made to order focaccia and it was also a stand out. We had two desserts. Key lime pie was the winner! The sundae is more a cookie topped with ice cream so that was different than expected. Still good though. Service was great as usual. Definitely would recommend coming here for NYE.

The Pony room is the best kept little secret! It's tucked away in a resort in Rancho Santa Fe. Live music on Fridays. Our go to spot for date night! Service is exceptional also.

Exquisite dining experience with a top notch staff!Valet parking is necessary and complimentary. I was greeted as Mr. Stewart my entire stay. The Mediterranean gothic atmosphere is welcoming and warm.We arrived during their Brunch time. The menu was limited but exceptional. The chorizo tacos are devine and plentiful with 3 heaping tacos. I don't know how they keep the chorizo from being greasy.My indulgence was the Dungenous crab Benedict topped with caviar. This flavor explosion is creamy, briny, buttery goodness. Well worth the price.After brunch we moved into the Bar area where our next adventure began. There we met Gustavo and he was our tour guide for his aged barrel selections. The White Old Fashioned should not be missed.Our hats are off to our Server Christopher, our bartender Esteban and the Resident mixologist Gustavo! Excellence rarely comes in threes at a restaurant establishment and yet The Pony Room delivers this with ease.We cannot wait to return. This review is for anybody who wishes to hear my opinion...

Beautiful place We sat in the courtyard and had a nice Glass of Chardonnay Staff was very nice and attentive The summer breeze was great I ordered the ranch burger with pepper jack cheese and had half ring and fries Might be the best burger in San Diego!

Lovely spot for brunch. Attention to detail, wonderful atmosphere, excellent service and a menu to savor!

Do not go here. Terrible customer service and the staff is incredibly rude. The manager made us wait over an hour for our table when we had a reservation. We asked if we could get a drink at the bar and they said that was fine, then cut us off after 1 round because we were still waiting on our table. Both bartenders were extremely rude, especially the older bald guy. I HIGHLY recommend checking out the Rancho Santa Fe Inn over this place. DO NOT GO TO THE PONY ROOM. Staff is rude and overpriced for sub par food (if you ever get seated).
