We normally go to a different pho spot when in Point Loma, but wanted to try something new;Everyone was so friendly & attentive and food came out fast and really hot!! Super big bowl too. I had a child with me and asked for extra noodles, but it was not needed. We will definitely be back :)

First time coming here and it was on a Friday night. We had a party of 8 and tables were empty and we were quickly seated. It was not busy at all. But considering location is hard to find and most people are next door getting bbq. The pho broth is a bit sweeter than savory here. The appetizers are ok. Decent spot if you're in the area and need a quick bite.

Got the rare steak and flank pho. Very good broth and big bowls. Meat just had too much fat on it at times. Couldn't eat it. Would be easy for them to cut it off as other places aren't this bad.

Great Pho place in Point Loma and San Diego. If you're Vietnamese, ask for a small cup of "Hanh Beo" Owner Khoi is very friendly and hand pick all the ingredients.

I've had so many pho's in my life...how people can give this a 4-5 and say the food is good is beyond me...The fact that the place was empty with not one other patron should've been a telltale sign but if we never try...we'll never know...The rare steak pho - the broth was dark and murky. Typically the broth should be clear in the way that it shouldn't have a lot of sediment floating around...The color of the steak was so off, light and kind of grey...it was such an odd color. It really looked more like pork than beef.We also had the vermicelli bowl with egg rolls & grilled shrimp and chicken. I'm sorry but this had to be the worst vermicelli bowls we've had. The vermicelli was undercooked and hard...the sauce was weird and bland. It wasn't the typical clear watery fish sauce type. It looked like a store bought sweet chilli sauce. The bowl was so unsatisfying and a chore to eat.I would give this a 1 but the service was good so I'll add an extra but unfortunately we will not be back.

Overall 1/5. 1 for quick service, but that's it.Food: 1/5 the meat was good but very little of it. Got the rare steak and brisket pho. the pho broth didnt have flavor. Also i asked for less noodles and I'd say my bowl was 80% noodles, 15% broth, 3% meat 2% other toppings. Also it was not hot enough to cook bean sprouts. Or maybe my sprouts could not cook because there was so little broth to cook in.Service: 1/5. The caucasian man who served us made multiple weird comments to my group of all women and made us uncomfy. He also talked to another guest in a very rude manner in a loud voice so the restaurant could hear. Would not go back to this restaurant based on our interaction with this guy alone. The other employees were fine.Based on the experience of interacting with that unprofessional employee and lackluster pho, I do not recommend this restaurant and will not be back.

We were pleasantly surprised by this place. The pho was really good, better than the place we usually go in the Los Angeles area, and the portions were generous. Our server was very friendly and helpful. Location was very convenient to our hotel. Would come again if we are in the area!

After a little shopping, my daughter and I had worked up an appetite. We got to The Pho Shop a little after 2, so the lunch rush was no more and it was empty. We were promptly seated. The menu had more than pho to offer, but both my daughter and I ordered the #8 a rare beef and brisket pho. It was served within 10 minutes or so, piping hot and fresh with the traditional garnish. Reviews rave about the broth, and I see why. It's delicious - clear and full of flavor! The portion is super generous with plenty of noodles and meat, and it could have fed both my daughter and I. Next time we'll order one to share. We also ordered drinks. I got a Thai iced tea and my daughter the taro smoothie with boba. We enjoyed those as well! I would have given this place 5 stars, but once the food was served the staff disappeared - perhaps enjoying lunch themselves in the back. I helped myself to some takeout containers and packed our leftovers up. I had to ring the bell a few times and knock on the kitchen door to get someone's attention so we could pay. Another guest who was there rang the bell a few more times. Someone finally came out and promptly rang us up. My daughter really loved it (better than a place in our area) and said a few times that we need to come back. We live about 30 minutes away, but we'll def make that happen. It's worth it! Next time we'll bring the rest of the fam so they can weigh in and so I can try some of their other dishes.

Best pho spot in San Diego that rivals San Jose's pho spots. You can tell there is a good amount of bones used to make the broth. The spices are well balanced and not one spice over powers the other. My 5 year old finished an entire adult size bowl. That's how good the broth was.
