The Pennant Bar

This is low key bar with strong drinks and so- so Mexican food. You have to order food downstairs at a window and they got my order wrong! I ordered flautas and received taquitos, not a huge deal. The down stairs bar is pretty dark and unwelcoming, the rooftop has a lot of direct sunlight. When we were there they were playing rock music.

Every time we walked by it was dead. Walked and then right back out. Seemed like a local hangout that was not tourist friendly.

This place is great. Good beer. A ton of tvs. Good chats with everyone there. What more are you looking for? Oh, you want a roof deck with tvs. Food. The place to be a block from the beach and close to a couple of other food options and bars...ok...this place has all of that coming and going. My new local joint.

Charlie, the bartender was amazing great conversation the food was incredible. I had zucchini sticks and a breakfast sandwich and a chorizo burrito which were all amazing friends had salmon salad and a regular breakfast and that was incredible.Customer service is amazing at this little bar. Great ambience and great clientele food amazing.

I found this neighborhood sports/ dive bar on my recent trip. I was looking for a liquor store to buy alcohol, looked up and found this place instead.During covid the downstairs bar area is closed. In order to be allowed in for drinking you have to order food, good thing the foods good. You place your order downstairs and they bring it to you upstairs. Upstairs you'll find a lively group of locals and several TVs playing sports.The first time I came in I ordered a gyro salad.. it was delicious. The second time I ordered the pastrami sandwich & fries, also delicious. The bartenders stay on top of keeping your glass full. I didn't see a drink menu or any fancy drinks with umbrellas. If you're looking for a casual place to chill, catch a game and have a drink I'd check this place out.

The more I go to this bar, the more I want to go to this bar! Nothing else compares in price or service. The bartenders all rock! It's hard to explain; you need to experience it for yourself.

My and fiancé favorite local bars. Prices on drinks are great it's definitely worth the drive and looking for parking to come here!!!

I've been coming to The Pennant for 5+ years now. Best dive bar in MB and the best spot to watch the DAWGS play on Saturday! Bullett, Nikki, and Brenden take care of every single customer that comes through the door. You can't ask for a better crew! Advice: try the Bullett coffee and don't ring the bell!!

Been coming here randomly for the past few months. I really like this bar. The people are pleasant, the drinks are cheap, the food menu is pretty good.

We went to pennant yesterday after visiting this bar many times over the past couple of years and I'm so disappointed to say that the service was horrible. Especially with beachcomber next door with great service, affordable drinks, nice bartenders, etc I will never go back to this bar.We were doing a bar crawl for one of our friends 26th birthday and when we walked in the bouncer and some bartender took our designated drivers ID, who is 25, because she was fun out of state- took the id, refused to accept second form of identification even a passport/CC, refused to call the police, etc. We get they need to do their jobs but when I tell you that the pennant staff was yelling, condescending and rude that is an understatement. There should never be any sort of service like that especially for a group of 20 celebrating a birthday, with every person being 25-26 yrs old, and refusing to either review other ID or call the police. If you've made it this far in my review, I hope you choose any other bar to visit lol. Pennant is not worth your patronage tbh. Try beachcomber instead haha
