The Parlay Kitchen + Cocktails

I used to love their location in chandler for years until I heard they have opened this location here in Scottsdsle ( much closer to home). Ofcourse, I had to go try it!! To my delight it is even better then the already best( chandler). I had a wonderful experience there and our server, Karan, made our visit not just amazing but memorable ( great attitude and eager to please) The food was fresh , good quality, delicious, and fair quantity. The place was clean and modern. Loved the atmosphere and vibe in the place... good energy!!!

Fantastic fresh and beautiful food. The sweetest most pleasant server Carly. We sat on the patio and had a 5 star early dinner. We will be back!A new favorite in Scottsdale!

Been here twice with negatives and positives. The first time I can somewhat forgive. We did a large corporate group (almost 20) where we ordered apps ahead of time. When we got there, they had our reservation for the wrong day and wrong time. We still got orders in and, with a little wait, they came out correctly.The second time I took a group of 3. We arrived at 1:00 as I wanted to miss any spring training crowds. Our drink order was not taken until around 1:20 and our food order was not taken until 1:42. Food came out just before 2. I think this was due to a staffing issue as I only saw 2 waitresses and ours was on tables both inside and outside. Everyone liked their food although the steak on my pasta was not cooked correctly (they cooked it well when i asked for mid-rare). Both times the staff was pleasant. The place is clean with a nice set up and lots of TVs if you need to watch a game. The food is decent although a little overpriced. Easy to park and just off the 101. My only advice here would be to go if service time isn't a concern to you.

I've been going to Parlays for years. The service and food have for the most part been great. The Scottsdale location is my favorite the Ambiance is really nice, and hip.

Location, parking, server was wonderful, and drinks were delicious. As for the food it was hit n missed. Some dishes were just over moist, like the edamame, way too much soy sauce was added, eggrolls were good, potatoes soup was so dry and lumpy it shouldn't be considered a soup. The steak fries were just some chunks of grillSteaks laid on top of flat fries. So the food was average. Come for the drinks and they have live music in the evening in the big courtyard.

I was here for their happy hour. I tried chicken wings, cheese burger and house lager. Restaurant was pretty packed. Wings were great. I ordered buffalo wings for appetizers. For entree I ordered cheese burger with fries. Burger was delicious. Fries could have been crispier. Overall, a nice American restaurant. Ambiance is nice. If you like to watch sports, this is the place for you. Service was great too.

The location is perfect. The patio is definitely the best spot of the restaurant. The drinks amazing! Now for the review. When we first walked in, there were two other couples and families ahead of us. The hostess came to the stand and didn't say hello to any of us. They may have been waiting and helped already but since we just walked in didn't know for sure. So we waited longer. She comes back for a second time to the stand, not a word or look in our direction. Finally, this woman comes walking in and just beelines it to the bar (which is where we wanted to sit). So, the hostess comes back and we finally address her and ask if the bar is open seating. She says yes and we proceed to walk ourselves to the bar. Why have a hostess if they're not going to be friendly and welcoming upon first arrival! It wasn't a great first impression for our experience. We sit down and the bartender takes our order. We ordered two delicious drinks but it was a little strange having the bartender look at a recipe book to make our drinks. Not a problem or anything just different and wasn't used to seeing it. They were delicious nonetheless. Now the food. We ordered the pork sliders and calamari. The pork sliders were definitely subpar. They weren't the best and they didn't suck. To make it better? Toasting the buns on the sliders for sure and more sauce. The pork could be crispier to offer a more delicious bite. The calamari? Awful. Overly seasoned and over cooked. The aioli was terrible. It should be a marinara or at most a cocktail sauce of some sort. The calamari doesn't need to be overly seasoned, the sauce is what provides majority of the flavor. It was time to leave, so we asked for the bill. They were quick and got it back to us in great time. Would we go back? No. We were happy to try a new place in our neighborhood but definitely are plenty of other places we would rather go. Improvement to the food and service is needed. The prices don't match up with the service provided or quality of food. The drinks however, amazing and would certainly not have a problem paying $10-$15 for a drink. The restaurant has lots of seating and great big windows which gives it a very open feel. They have a very nice bar and some high booth seating. Service was quick and efficient and very knowledgeable of the menu. There was tons of options for everybody in my family to choose from. They have a wide variety of options and selection there's something for everybody to love. Everything tasted very fresh and we left feeling very light. This is a great lunch or dinner spot for parties of all sizes.

We found this place a head of time when we planned to visit the Enchantment Holiday event at the stadium just 5 minutes away.We made a 7pm reservation, but it wasn't necessary as they were very slow on a Saturday night.The host was very friendly and sat us at a nice table near a glass wall filled with wine.They have live music on the weekends and he was good but so loud we could hardly hear each other. I was happy when he took a long break. Alevenia (not sure of the spelling) greeted us immediately with ice water and a welcoming smile. She answered our questions and our appetizer arrived about 10 minutes later.We started with wings (honey BBQ and Asian) which were very crispy and grilled to perfection. They're based on weight, but we got 4 of each flavor. Loved that they were served with both celery and carrot sticks. So many places only offer celery these days. What gives?!I ordered a coke with lime (refilled without me asking!) and their crispy honey hot chicken sandwich with fries. I asked for extra crispy fries and they were hot & delicious. Like a few reviews I had read about this sandwich, the hot honey sauce lacked a bit of flavor. I prefer a thicker and spicier sauce but overall, it was good. Especially good option if you don't like really spicy food but want a kick of flavor.Hubby ordered their pulled pork sliders with fries and a local IPA. He loved his meal.They have a large patio with a firepit, and their bathrooms were clean. Their menu is half classic options (with a bit more upscale entrees) and also the typical bar type food. Something for everyone. A great choice if you're looking for an American meal with great pricing and service.

First time at The Parlay Kitchen. Lunch party of 5. We were the first customers in the door. Place is open and modern. We had a deep fried avocado with bacon and a bruschetta board for appetizers. Two people ordered burgers and fries. One person just had the onion soup. One person had the poke bowl with Ahi Tuna. I had the steak salad with a balsamic vinaigrette.Heard no complaints about the burgers. The steak salad was very good. Thumbs up on the poke bowl. Appetizers were also very good. First time on the deep fried avocado. It was rich and tasty.Ordered two coffees, fresh pot was being made but never arrived. Server switched to bartending and new server never checked our table. Food here is very good. A bit disappointed in the service but that sometimes happens. Overall, a good experience, but not yet five stars.
