Hubby and I did a "staycation" at a hotel in Chandler this past weekend for two nights. The second night we decided to check out The Parlay restaurant down the street a couple blocks away. I had seen it be built and fitted a few years back, since my office building is also nearby. A friend from church also said it was good. I went online to see the menu and it had a reservation option so I went ahead and did that. When we arrived it was quite loud because there was a singer with a guitar, so it was hard to talk to the seater. But having live music was nice, and at the very end of our visit the guy played "Blister in the Sun" by the Violent Femmes, one of my all-time favorite songs from high/school college era (1980s). Mostly he had been going 90s grunge and 70s rock so this was quite a pleasant surprise! Definitely the highlight for me!But the food was amazing too! Hubby was feeling a bit lightheaded from not having had lunch so we ordered an appetizer, the portobello mushrooms with veggie and cheese filling. It was out of this world! I also ordered the French onion soup, which is their standard soup. It was way more than standard though, with a lovely swiss cheese "lid" baked on top and extremely savory broth filled with lots of onions and bread pieces. Yum-O!I really couldn't eat it all though because then our entrees arrived. I had the Southwest Mac and Cheese -- to die for! -- and hubby had a Gardenburger with fries. The fries were crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle with great flavor, which is very unusual to find. I couldn't come close to eating all my pasta dish so took about half of it home.I also had a blackberry margarita which was as good as it was beautiful. Hubby just had Diet Coke but they were very attentive about refilling that and our waters. The waitstaff was just awesome in general.I also used the facilities while there, and the bathrooms were beautiful! It was a layout I had never seen before, where the men's and women's rooms did not have sinks; they had a collective sink wall outside the restrooms that was beautiful too!I forgot to mention that the whole building is glass walls to the outside, which made it really fun to people watch and look at the views. There was a patio/courtyard in the middle and then the "bar" on the other side. They had sports on big-screen TVs but the sound was off so you could visit.Very nice! Definitely will go back! Not cheap, but super duper delicious!

We visited on a Wednesday at 5pm. Overall extremely loud. It definitely a happy hour place not a quaint dinner like it seems on Yelp. It also was very sticky and overall dirty. You know when your plates come out way too hot to touch that they've been under the warming lamps for a long time. Thats how my club sandwich came. With hot mayo and all. It was really bad. It was also DRENCHED in Mayo. I was super bummed. I ordered tea. You know that bad taste tea gets when the tea brewer is not clean? Yeah I didn't make it 1/3 in before having to switch. So bad. My husband ordered wings, he thought they were good. He ordered an old fashion and when asked for a preference on bourbon he said whatever the bartender recommends. Well he got well whisky and he struggled to get it down. Our server was kind. Prob had to many tables but she was kind.

Oh here I am again with a 3 star review. This again based on a take out experience. My collogues and I ordered from here for a work lunch. We needed it delivered and the delivery service they are clearly contracted with is Door Dash. The food arrived earlier than quoted, so that was nice. The food was hot but it should be since they are about a mile away from our location. Everyone said their food was good. I agree it was delicious! I got the spinach dip and a side Caesar (yes I attempted the Caesar again) and I was delighted that this time the dressing was amazing! My co-worker ordered the chicken Caesar salad and she too said the dressing was fantastic! There was one problem with both of our salads, they forgot the croutons. There were four ingredients to make my Caesar and five to make her's. And yet still one of the ingredients was forgotten on both salads. The spinach dip was good but the bread that came with it seemed stale. Yes I understand its served with crusty bread pieces but there is a difference between crusty and stale. My bread seemed stale. Two of our members ordered salads as their main dish (the Caesar, I mentioned already) and the other was the Ahi Tuna salad. The general consensus was the salads were really small for the cost. The chicken caesar was $19, the tuna was a bit more than that. The two people that got cheese burgers said it was good but nothing special. Based on my two experiences, I think this place is better if you dine in. I have heard great things from people that went in and ate there but I think take out may not be best from this place.

The food was an adventure, the atmosphere warming and the service friendly. Did I mention the heavenly voice Guillaume ? Often when you have live music, it's so loud you can't carry on a conversation. But his voice was so beautiful, it was the perfect background but many times we would pause conversation just to listen. Can't wait to hear him again!

HH with coworkers and I'm always impressed with the atmosphere, cocktails, and some of the food items. I have this place in my rotation but usually avoid Fridays (coworkers... haha). This last time it was packed on Friday, but we had a section carved out so the only challenge was parking for me. I nibbled on a few pieces of Brushetta that were ordered and they had good flavor. For me I made sure to get one of my favorite drinks here, the Passion Fruit Mai Thai. With drink discounts, it's hard to stop at one so I also had the Blackberry Lime Margarita... Both hit with just the right balance and kick so no complaints. From the menu, I realized I wanted something different and the stand-out item was the Deep Fried Avocado and it didn't disappoint!!! It's stuffed with pork & cheese and comes with some creamed street corn. Service was great & I'm coming back for the drinks... but I'm not sharing the Avocado dish with anyone!!!

This restaurant has been on my list for a few months, so we made a reservation. When we arrived, there really wasn't a need for reservation as it was pretty empty. That changed as the evening went on and when we left, it had gotten quite full. There's a very open feel to the dining room, and there are two bars - - one separate room with a bar, and a bar on one half of the main dining room. There was a musician playing in the corner. We had a great server who was very attentive. I wasn't very hungry, so I chose something that looked kind of interesting on the appetizer section of the menu, the fried avocado. It's two halves of an avocado, with the pit removed and replaced with shredded pork and cheese, then battered and fried. Yes, it's as good as it sounds! And quite large, as I ended up bringing some of it home. It's served with fantastic creamed corn topped with a ton of bacon. Absolutely delicious! My son had a club sandwich, and it was huge with a ton of turkey and ham. It was served with fries, and both were very, very good. It was a bit of a drive for us, but I will say we were happy to have made the trip because dinner was quite delicious.

This spot was such a great choice for dinner while in chandler. It was a little after 8pm and I always forget how it is much different than back at home where everywhere is slammed at that time. I found this spot on Yelp and was intrigued by the variety of food and cocktail items they had and it was only a short drive away. It was very quiet when we got here but we got seated immediately and the service was super quick. We started with the southwest egg rolls which came with a great dipping sauce. My boyfriend went with the steak and gorgonzola pasta which was exactly what he was craving and I did the filet with veggies and mash potatoes which was super good as well. Though we do not live in Chandler I would definitely come here again or it would be my go to spot if I did live close by!

Ambiance: Lively and busy Cleanliness: Clean and well maintained Taste: It was good mac and cheese nothing special or unique. slightly a bit water for my liking. Service: Very attentive and friendly staff. The server was great! Overall: A great place to gather with others because of its environment and drink options. This wouldn't be my first option to dine at but would be open to trying it again.

Sports bar. Before coming here I looked at their menu and website and actually thought this was a bit of a high end place.... Meaning better than average. The decor and ambiance does feel a bit upscale, but it's really just a sports bar. Got some beer and food, but don't remember much else about it.

I was in Chandler for a conference and a couple of us decided to try Parlay before we left, as it was close to the hotel. I'm so glad we did! The food was excellent! The service was good and we enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant. I'm looking forward to going again when in Arizona.
