The Panini Truck

I had The Panini Truck a few weeks ago when they were at Barnes & Noble in downtown Bellevue. I went with a group of people and a couple got the Zesty Italiano (pepperoni, prosciutto, provolone, pepperoncini peppers and marinara), and I got the special - a "Cuban B" (roast porchetta, black forest ham, dill pickles, swiss cheese, mayo, spicy brown mustard, on "Giuseppe bread). I really enjoyed mine, even though it didn't hit the normally bright, mustardy/pickley notes of a good Cubano. It was just different - richer, more buttery. The others raved about the Italiano, especially the pepperoncini peppers. Sandwiches were $9, which... for food trucks is reasonably priced. For Bellevue lunch, it's really well priced. For a panini in general, it's a little overpriced, but I can't complain too much. They also sold tomato soup, salads, chips, soda, and sparkling water.Oddly, they don't have Twitter... and their website locations section hasn't been updated since April... So, who knows what's going on with them.Overall, a great truck and I hope it returns regularly!

First time try their Pastrami Sandwich and it was very delicious. I enjoyed the crunchiness of the bread and the good amount flavor from the inside. The sauce was very good and it blended well with the Pastrami and sauerkraut. One thing is to never overload with one ingredient cus that is all you will taste in your meal. Then again I'm no expert, but I've notice from other Food truck tend to do this. However this sandwich you can taste everything. Well done guys and I will definitely be coming back.

Tasty sandwiches! I've had the Zesty Italian & the Pastrami. Think the Pastrami is my fav so far. Employees are quick, kind and clean. Great service, minimal wait time. It's been great having them at Swedish Issaquah throughout the summer!

These are NOT paninis. We got wilted grilled wonderbread sandwiches for $18 a pop. Do not order from this truck if you want actual grilled paninis. Not even close.

The Panini Truck was in a neighborhood near us so we stopped by. Ordered five sandwiches, and no one else was in line or waiting for food. One sandwich we asked for no cheese, and the other no peppers. Neither request made it to our sandwiches, even though they weren't busy. The previous customer had left a $20 pay it forward, so we tipped that amount to the worker. Pretty bummed that given the lack of business our requests were ignored, mine went straight to the trash as I'm lactose intolerant and the cheese i asked not to have was melted everywhere. The food itself is basic sandwiches - lunch meat on white bread, cheap American cheese, grilled. Not really what I would consider a "panini" - the bread shouldn't be plain sandwich bread and it should be pressed to be a panini for me. The sauces were good. For $11-12 per sandwich with nothing outstanding and indifferent at best service, I don't see why others rate this 4 or 5 stars.

He appeared out of nowhere, no one around but his equipment was running and I was dang near ready to resort to cannibalism ! The Cuban caught my eye because during my time in the Tampa Bay area,, I became practically addicted to what I had no idea existed,, the pressed cuban ... Even though I was in the western part of Washington State, Tim's Cuban (Cubano),, brought a year to my eye. A friendly, social and very hard working guy, Tim has etched out a permanent spot in the Pacific Northwest food truck region.. Track him down, you'll be glad you did..!

Pretty good sandwich for what it is. Appreciate how compact it was, there wasn't much meat or sauce spilling everywhere. Chicken could use some more spice/flavor though. Only gripe is they've increased their prices 30% since 2018 while inflation has been 17% since then. $15 before tip for a sandwich, chips, and a soup isn't bad though.

Absolutely delicious sandwiches. Definitely give this truck a chance if you see it around. The ingredients were high quality and fresh, and the flavors were really well balanced. I would take a sandwich from this truck any day over all the restaurants in this area that charge twice as much for a lesser quality sandwich. Seriously, it's rare to get something this good at this price point these days. It's a good deal.The owner, Tim, was also really nice and made me feel like my business was valued. Not sure what's up with the reviewer saying he was mean, but it wasn't my experience at all. He was friendly and helpful to me and everyone else I saw him interacting with. TLDR: 5/5 on taste, value, and owner being cool. Definitely recommended.

I always order the Zesty Italiano and every time it's delicious! The panini has the perfect amount of crunch and the toppings are evenly spread. The people running the truck are nice and quick, even in a rush. Great place for a quality sandwich!

Incredibly delicious! Such a great find. Tim, the owner is such a great guy and the sandwiches are so great I had two!
