"Meat" from my red Chili burrito. It was actually two big chunks of beef fat.

An average place to sit and eat. Went during lunch time and saw most of the customers were factory or constructions workers. Place isn't cheap or expensive, just above average pricing for each item. I got the burrito and it was fully stuffed it ingredients. However the chicken was not marinated, it could have used a lot more flavor. We also got the enchiladas and chimichanga and they were average as well. They charged for extra sauces.I was really looking forward to eating here, because it was on the list for one on the places to eat in AZ. I saw it on a Instagram influencer page. However I was quite disappointed. If you're in AZ, there are plenty of more places to eat that are better!!

We were looking for a spot to grab lunch after a hike, and I suggested here as it was on my bookmarks list and I had never tried it. Pretty easy to get to and there was a decent amount of parking around lunchtime. Ordering here is quick and efficient; you can peruse the menu on the wall and get in line when you are ready. I decided to go with the green chile with beans burro, and asked if I could get it with chicken and the employee said yes. My dining companion ordered a machaca burro and we waited for our food. Didn't take too long and everything is packaged to-go as a default, which most people end up doing. We were dining in so we grabbed a table, which was clean. The bag of food contained our food on a paper plate as well as napkins and hot salsa containers. I seemed to have gotten the wrong food item as mine appeared to be machaca rather than chicken (I initially thought it was a dark meat). I probably should have asked, but decided to eat it anyways. It was difficult to do even that - my burro/burrito was large and floppy and I took a few bites before it expanded and became very messy. The cheese wasn't melted well and I was not a fan. The saving grace is that the salsa was hot and delicious. I visited the bathroom and washed up and it's not 100% functional (toilet handle missing, no knob to open bathroom door). Although there was running water, soap and paper towels, yay. I may try a different menu item (try to get chicken?) or visit another location. Though this specific location is only affiliated with the Avondale one, according to their website. There are four Carolina's Mexican food locations on another website, so this tells me they are not the same chain. However, they both advertise having "the best tortillas in town".

I have to echo the reviews that say that on the outside this place looks a little rundown. The inside isn't too much better, but the food is pretty good. The portions are huge. The place is always busy. After you order listen for your number to be called out. They're pretty on point with cleaning tables when available. The women's bathroom is really broken down. The handle to flush was broken and the handle to open the door to exit was missing, there was only one screw to hold on to. Maybe skip the bathroom. The employees were nice and very efficient. I would go back to try their other food.

Super solid breakfast burritos that kept us full for most of the day! For $9, you get a large, stuffed burrito with a side of yummy hot sauce. I went for the machaca, beans, and egg one, which was a great mix of flavors and textures. It's a super casual, local institution that you can tell has been around for a long time. They pride themselves on their housemade tortillas, which they sell on their own if you want to take them home. It's cool to read about their history on their website, and love to see that it's still family-owned and expanding. Happy to support and get this taste of Arizona!

Born and raised in South Central, and I've progressively watched the customer service get worse and worse. The food will always be a shade above mid-Mex, but the service will always be below a Taco Bell, Taco Supreme w/ extra sour cream. Shi**y, greetings, shi***y communication, and even shi**ier acknowledgement of how to make it better. In the meantime, enjoy this picture of a hole in the wall, perfect resemblance of the attitudes behind the counter.

Yum, yum and yum! Stopped in for a machaca and green chili burrito. Both burritos did not disappoint! The machaca burrito was full of flavor but lacked the tomato flavor that is usually mixed in with the meat. The size of the burrito was very large. The green chili burrito was my favorite! Meat was tender, the green chili sauce was perfect and the beans were very flavorful. The only thing I wish I would've done was add cheese, sour cream and onion to that burrito as it would've set it over the top. The jamica was very good and refreshing as well. The inside smelled of fresh tortillas and the staff was super helpful. This place is a must!

It's been quite a while since I've gotten take out from Carolinas and now I remember why, it's no big deal. Food tastes fresh, but when you order it's basically everything is alacarte. I ordered a machaca beef burro with potato and guacamole. There was next to nothing for cheese. Guacamole was ok and there was more potato than beef. I've ordered burritos at Cafe Rio and Chipotle and have gotten more for my money. It will be quite a while before I order here again. Next
