The service was fantastic the entire time we were there. Lily was very helpful, kind, and attentive. She also gave great recommendations.Love the atmosphere of the restaurant. The bloody marys were good. The Oscar Medallion was great, got it mid rare & it was the most tender piece of meat we've ever had in a restaurant. Kudos chef!! The pasta was good, had a nice spice to it, and the asparagus were tender and cooked well.We also got the 3 item Santa Café plate with the Garden Enchilada (Outstanding! Must try!), shrimp taco (could have eaten an entire plate of those - used the lime from my bloody mary and it made it even better), & the tenderloin relleno (another excellent item on their menu).First time being back in a while, and we had a great experience. Will be returning again very soon.

This place has been so highly recommended to us for years and years. We finally had a free afternoon and decided to try it for lunch. We were sadly very disappointed. First to start our waitress was the most miserable person. She had zero customer service. Chips and salsa was average. Margaritas were awesome! The menu was interesting, as we thought it was a Mexican restroom (probably our mistake for not investigating). We ordered the stuffed chili rellenos. We were excited to see you could have them filled with meat, a rarity. We selected the tenderloin. To our surprise, it was filled with over peppered ground beef, at best. Also, it was breaded in breadcrumbs, not a fluffy batter like others. Rice and beans were not to our liking either. It's rather hard to season whole pinto beans. The chimichanga was fine, nothing too bad or too good. Unfortunate, to say the least.

A small but attractive spot to grab New Mexican style grub. Our friendly server and complimentary chips and salsa got us off to a good start. I ordered the mini shredded beef chimichanga, green style. You can also order it with red sauce (spicier) or Christmas style - both sauces. It comes with rice and whole pinto beans, both were very good. Even the mini version is very filling. We kind of forget Blue Adobe is here and need to remind ourselves to add it to our rotation. It's a great place!

First time coming here and it was completely packed at 1 PM on a Tuesday. I ordered the chicken enchiladas. They were perfect. The food took pretty long, but it was understandable because the restaurant was slammed. I'll def be going back.

We have been meaning to go for at least a year, it's not in an area that we're normally in, but we finally made it, and are so happy that we did! We started with the Ferrari margarita, got a 1/2 carafe, It was about three full drinks, or less than the price of 2. It came with a little floater of Grand Marnier. Very tasty and not too sweet. I ordered the garden enchilada and it was loaded with fresh vegetables that were crispy, not overcooked like so many enchiladas are. Husband got a chicken dish with a tasty side- a pepper filled with seasoned potatoes. Sounds a little odd, but it was actually beautifully presented and delicious. The dish was dangerously close to being healthy, except for the wonderful creamy sauce that came on top of it.I mentioned that I was vegetarian, and instead of rice and beans, they subbed a side salad- I appreciated that they did not charge me extra for that. Both the rice and beans have chicken stock in them.Service was great, when we left, it was extremely busy and there were people waiting to get in! They rushed us a little - we were lingering, because we were in the back and didn't realize how busy they were about to get.Overall, a great experience, will definitely return!

Went there before a show at the Mesa Performing Arts - no reservations. Sat with Hannah at the bar. Terrific experience - she navigated us through the menu making perfect suggestions. We will return for sure.

I hate judging a place on one meal, but I move around a lot for work and it's what I must do unfortunately. The food I did have was great- I ordered the special of the day which was the lazy tacos. You have a choice of meat- I picked pulled steak. Really flavorful and excellent. The ambiance is a bit subpar, and the clientele do not make it much better. Looots of geezers, nobody with much life in them to be found. Anywhere. At all. In absolute fairness, it was around 4-5pm. Pretty early, but we were starving after a 6 hour flight. So this could have contributed.Service is great, I almost always find something to nit-pick, but I really can't this time. Food came quick and fresh, the check was brought promptly at the right time, refills were frequent. It was neither too much or too little...just right.Definitely come here for a good meal, the whole menu looks fantastic. If the rest of the food tastes like my tacos did...they got a good thing going.

We wanted to love this place so much! We've been trying to go here for at least a year now and finally had the opportunity to go recently. We went in and loved that they had a very unique menu with non-traditional Mexican dishes that we hadn't had before. The triple dip was amazing and came with a lobster queso, a bean dip, and guacamole. We loved the triple dip, and the large flour tortillas that came with it. I ordered lettuce taco wraps, which was probably a mistake on my part. The chicken was really good, but it just in general the meal was not satisfying to me. Of course I was also trying to be health conscious and that is why I ordered the lettuce wraps, so maybe I should've expected them to not be so filling. Our daughter ordered the garlic shrimp pizza and she did not like it at all. I tasted it and the crust was good, but there was just something about shrimp and pine nuts on a pizza that wasn't right. We sent that back and she ended up just getting a Caesar salad which she loved. My husband ordered a beef chimichanga and he said it was amazing! He really enjoyed his meal. He also had the Cruise Caddy margarita, which was a hit. Our server was amazing and we did love the look and the vibe in the restaurant, but personally, I think I'd like to see some more traditional or authentic Mexican dishes, which is what we went there for. I feel like it was a case of mismatched expectations, when we went there, we had a different idea in our heads about the food. We may give it another try sometime, but I feel like it was fair for me to share my review of our first visit. Just make sure you really look at the menu before you go there so you realize that this place is truly unique and the options they have. I think if I had spent more time reviewing the menu before I got there, I might not have been disappointed. I will also say that this place was so flippin busy and the team there did an excellent job at keeping things moving. I recommend making a reservation ahead of time if possible because it looked like walk-ins had to wait quite a while to be seated.

Showed up on a Friday with a party of 4 for dinner; 45 minute wait which was reasonable. Not much room to wait inside, but we sat out on the patio which was fine. Chips and salsa were good, drinks were delicious, and everyone really enjoyed their food. Really homey decor - it's not a large place but it gives it a much more authentic feel. Check this place out, you won't regret it!

You wouldn't expect the quality of this place from the look of it from the street. It's small but quaint, intimate and cozy inside. The staff is fantastic. I knew I found a treasure when the people next to me said they came here every week from Chandler. The lobster queso is a must have!! Do not pass go, order it!!I wanted to try so many things but ended up on the southwest chicken pasta. Yes, not a typical Mexican dish but omg so delicious. Just the right heat but I like it spicy. Plus pasta served in a tortilla bowl, will you marry me?I Can not wait to come back!!
