I went on a Sunday evening to play their Trivia Night. It started at 7pm. We got to pick our team name. Questions were up on the TVs and you wrote down your answer and picked the amount of points for getting each question right. They had a variety of questions from geography to sports, etc. I had a lot of fun playing. Won a gift card for getting 3rd place. They had a great selection of beers and a large food menu. I tried the Grilled Vegetable Board, Ceviche Tostada, and Giant Bavarian Pretzel. It was all yummy! The pretzel was crispy on the outside and soft in the middle.

I went here a couple Fridays ago with a group of work friends. We were able to find a seat for all of us, but it was pretty crowded. They have a good selection of entrées. I got the grilled cheese and it was very good. I wish I took a photo of it because it was that good. They have some interesting cocktails aside from beers. So if beers aren't your thing, they've got you covered. The staff was so attentive, professional, kind. They weren't pretentious at all, which is my opinion of several other brewery type places I've been to.We parked in the Bank of America parking lot, which you have to pay for, but on a Friday evening, it is hard to find parking out in North Park. It's directly behind the restaurant so that was convenient.

This is the third time I've been here. First time was me just walking by during my first few weeks after I moved to the city. Came in for one beer on a Thursday early afternoon. Second time was for a meetup that they hosted on a Wednesday night. Third time was around 1030pm on a Saturday night. Minus the meetup, each time there was about 10 people. So not overly business but a solid buzz in the room. On a busy street in North Park, this is the spot to go to if you're looking for something lowkey. It's never too many people. It has a pretty decent selection of beers. Staff serves with a nod and smile. And overall the vibe is chill. No one is coming in here looking like they are ready to club but it's also not divey or grungy.

Stopped in here after the Padres game for a drink! I opted for the Bivouac cider. I really loved it! We decided to sit on their rooftop deck. The chairs are super comfy and the umbrellas help keep you cool and out of the sun. We decided to order the ceviche and it was incredible! I love ceviche but this might be one of my new favorite spots to get ceviche from! The staff were super friendly and next time I'm in the area, I'll definitely be stopping by!

We were invited to a good friends retirement at this location. What I really appreciated was that the whole place is so open and the ceilings are high and it gives off a really good vibe when you walk in.The owner saw me come in, and he immediately came up to me and asked if he could help me. I told him that we were there for a retirement party and he smiled and said OK it's the whole place. And so what we did was asked him does he know where the retiree was and he pointed to show us where to locate our friend.Overall, this place is great. They had really good appetizers and dishes coming out for the guests. They also have really really good beer selection and I like that they had kombucha and other selections as well, like sour ciders, etc.The place is great and also in a great location. I highly recommend people trying this place out. Parking can be a challenge. There is a lot behind B of A Bank that has a pay app. I used to live 2 blocks away. I recommend parking a couple of blocks away and then walking over to this place because parking was pricey. I was fortunate to get a parking spot on the street for 2 hour parking, after circling for about 45mins. Nice place to have a beer and great food. We ordered buffalo wings, a short rib flatbread pizza, and short rib tacos to share because we wanted to try it all. Delicious and made well. Service is great, the whole staff is customer service oriented.

The cocktails are on tap so just be aware of that if you are use to bartenders mixing you up a cocktail. It isn't the best but this place is a brewery so let's be honest, if you come here it would be for the beer. I am a cocktail type of gal so I do come here because my friends likes the beer here. The food here is good though, definately got to give it a try

We came here over St. Patrick's day weekend and had the green beers and American burger. The burger was fantastic and hit the spot! The bread was the best part, it was soft and toasty, and the beef patty is seasoned to perfection. All of it was delicious! It was about $16-17 and came with fries. The vibe of Orig 40 is super chill and fun. It's cute and perfect for a hangout with friends or a casual date. They can get packed after 6 but the staff are super friendly and quick. If you're on the hunt for the good burgers and good beer, I'd recommend trying them out.

Really great spot for happy hour. They have $5 select beers. The Baja burger was great with avocado and siracha aioli. Plenty of seating inside, the front and back patio. The staff is really friendly and welcoming.

Obviously, I should've taken pictures of more than just the bathroom, but this place is so great I went in the same week. The first time we went, I was having a rough day and craving (non-alcoholic) beer and a pretzel. Great news for my sober friends: they have a list of three versions of nonalcoholic beer which is amazing and pretty rare. Most of these breweries look at you like you're nuts when you ask if they have nonalcoholic beer.I cannot remember the bartender's name, but he also does lunch service there, and he is super helpful, friendly, and on top of it.The fries are amazing and the goat cheese salad is so good we had to have it twice. Burgers, pizza... You can't go wrong. The pretzel cheese is quite beer-y, so make sure you're in the mood for that! We definitely over-ordered and the food was great later, too.Great dog friendly, outdoor patios, too. Will be back.

Today was my first visit to The Original 40 Brewing Company. I was the first customer as it had just opened at noon. I was greeted by a lovely young lady named Lexi. She gave me a menu and recommended one of their IPAs. I had the brat sandwich with fries and a pint of beer. The brat sandwich and beer were delicious. I will definitely be back.
