Although the service could have been a bit friendlier, I loved my Cantonese duck. My dining partner thought his Beef Chow Fun with Brown Sauce was just okay. The egg rolls were served piping hot and were pretty tasty. The tea was complimentary, as was the warm dessert soup (non-Asians may find it a bit odd...it has beans in it).Prices are on the higher side for Chinese. Rice to accompany dishes had an upcharge. Lovely chopsticks; prettiest I have ever seen at a restaurant.I liked that the waitress packed up our leftovers for us. Recyclable plastic containers. Plenty of parking. CLOSED TUESDAYS.

An average traditional Chinese dinner spot that goes very very busy with locals since they don't have tons of indoor dining space. Service is usually quick and the servers speak both Cantonese and mandarin. We ordered the clay pot with chicken and Chinese sausage - we were a bit disappointed since it didn't come with rice on the bottom and the pieces of chicken had lots of tiny bones and cartilage in it that made it difficult to eat (even pieces that looked like it was purely meat!). The steak cubes were probably the highlight - very tender and well seasoned. We also got the Peking Duck special that comes with a platter of duck with the buns to go with it plus the minced veggies and duck with lettuce wraps. Overall just your typical Chinese place - we didn't feel like it was anything special though.

This place has a serious argument for best crack wings in San Diego. By crack, wings, I mean, salt and pepper wings... This is a great, real deal, Cantonese restaurant. They greet you with a view of roasted duck and bbq pork as you walk in. I ordered the salt and pepper wings and the French style steak. They both were fabulous and I must admit, the wings are my new favorite salt and pepper wings.I will be ordering again, it has a expensive menu, so there is no shortage of options and new things to try

Take out the roast duck - one of my favorites. Quick service and good food. Consistently good food, just a little pricier than most Chinese places.

This is a popular small place with the locals, so arriving early will save you time with less waiting for a table. The overall taste of the cooking was good. Of note were the lamb chops and roast squab. We went off the track by ordering a lot of dishes we have not tried before. The ones we were familiar with were very on point and good. Some of the off-track items were not well liked. The taro with roast duck was not well liked but tasted good at home where there was nothing better to eat. This is a dish that we have not heard of before. That is the problem with trying new dishes. There is a chance that we won't like it.

One of our neighborhood go to spots for traditional comfort chinese food!! they specialized in cantonese dishes... Dont let the simple curb appeal fool ya... There is something about a simple restaurant with delicious chinese food, grear customer service and wide range of dishes...we usually come here or order from here once a month... We also like to out when driving by because there is usually a line/groups during peak wknd dinner times. this time last time around the pea shoots and garlic steak were my favorite!! Thank you noble chef for always satisfying our chinese comfort food cravings...Forgot to mention...portions are awesome!! We always take home left overs which taste even better the next day!!

This is one of the few authentic Cantonese food restaurant in San Diego. I usually go to here or Eastern Dynasty and after going a few times I like this one better. They serve similar menu items but the food here is not too salty and they definitely don't skimp on ingredients like Eastern Dynasty. I can confidently say that as I've ordered the same dishes at both restaurants to compare. Their fish maw soup is seafood, not the classic "crab" but it still has chunks of seafood which I was impressed. Their fried items have more "wok hei" which is like a smokey flavor. The free soup dessert is a nice touch to end the meal. The restaurant is clean, the waiters are fast, efficient, friendly. But it does get really busy since it's so popular and even less tables for smaller groups when they combine the tables for larger groups. I'd love it if they had a bigger restaurant.Overall, I like the food and service. The prices are more or less the same but Eastern Dynasty has a better restaurant layout and ambience.

Stopped by for dinner with friends while traveling, and everyone liked the food here. I'll definitely return if I'm back in SD next time!We got here early since I read the review here that the place gets packed during dinner hours. I'm so glad we did, because when it got close to 6pm, the restaurant was packed! As soon as you sit down, the waiter gave us a plate of cold appetizers on the house to munch on, which was super nice.We ordered a bunch of food, and below are what we ordered:Spicy beef: 5/5, it's not that spicy, and the beef was so tender. I think this was everyone's favorite.Peking ribs: 4/5 pretty solid dish, what you would expect in a Cantonese restaurantRoasted pigeon: 4/5 the skin was crispy and meat was flavorful. Walnut shrimp: 4/5 giant shrimp coated in batter, deep fried and covered in sweet mayo, what's not to like? Service was good too despite the fact that they're obviously understaffed. You just need to get their attention and they'll get what you want for you.

From the outside it doesn't look like much - a somewhat shabby, nondescript storefront in a strip mall. You walk through the doors and then you're in for a solid Cantonese experience - tasty food, and a relatively good value for what you're getting (squab for less than $20? That alone is a steal). Service is faultless; the staff changed out plates, refilled tea and water without being asked, and each dish arrived piping hot at the table. Very clean dining room and restroom facilities as well.We had the half roast duck, the honey bbq pork, clams with basil, silken tofu with two types of mushroom (enoki and shiitake), pea vines with garlic, squab, and prawns with XO sauce. Our favorites were the bbq items (duck, squab and pork - everything was succulent and fresh, skin crispy), and the prawns with XO. Veg was quite flavorful as well. We were too stuffed to try any of the starches (noodles or rice) - we'll have to come back.Last but not least: the majority of the patrons were Cantonese-speaking = always a good sign.

It's one of the best Chinese restaurants in San Diego serving Cantonese dishes that we like the most. The servers are also polite and attentive. It's our first choice to go for Chinese food in San Diego.
