What's not to like about aviation and aerospace! Came here on a rainy Friday. It was good way to avoid the weather, but limited what I could see as some aircraft displays were outside...and I wasn't going to expose myself to that. Admission is cheap.I had a few hours before a flight out of SeaTac and this was a great choice. Free parking and just 7 miles away. There's a good number of displays to check out and read about. There's a lot of aviation history here. This aviation museum isn't as large as others I've been to, but it is, still pretty cool!

This museum was AWESOME. Located on the Boeing runway, you can often see jets being flown to their companies for the first time taking off from the parking lot. The museum had so many exhibits and everything from older wooden propeller planes to newer jet aircraft. Military, civilian, helicopters, you name it. There was a space exhibit too with some really neat artifacts. There was the entire inside area, and then you can walk across the street and go to the outdoor exhibit which had even more planes, including an actual Air Force One used from the 60s-90s. Several of the larger planes you could walk through and look at, and there were people inside to give you more information about the aircraft and their history. Be prepared to walk. By the end of the museum, we had walked about 2.5 miles and there were quite a few flights of stairs. We spent about 3 hours there and casually walked but did not even read all the signage. Overall, $26 well worth it and I'd definitely come back here. I'd go right when it opened as when we were leaving it was starting to get a bit crowded.

We had a great time here! So much to see- the place is HUGE! Even extends to a hangar (and more) across the street. Be prepared for lots of walking. My husband especially enjoyed the ATC exhibit, the WWII exhibit, the Concorde, and Air Force One. We were quite shocked how many visitors there were on the random Tuesday when we decided to go, but it did not make things crowded for us at all. Not sure how much the museum could possibly change in the upcoming years, but there would definitely be plenty to learn the second time around if I had the chance.

Be prepared to visit for several hours because this place is larger than it seems. There are so many different areas and opportunities for immersive learning for both the history of airplane flight as well as space. My favorite part was being up close and personal with the planes. Walking through Air Force One was eye opening.

It was our first time here at The Museum of Flight and the only reason why we visited here is because my husband loves aviation! Located before the outskirts of the downtown, they have a pretty decent parking spaces. This Museum is huge! I love the fact that their were volunteer who greets you once you purchased the tickets and just give you a brief summary of the whole museum. on this museum they have the original red barn where Boeing started building their planes which was pretty cool and you can actually see it outside the building. They have different sections on this museum and my favorite is the tower which the air controller will be at if you are on the airport. Also they have the actual airplanes that you can go inside! My favorite was the air forced one airplane! it was so amazing to see what it looks like and it is all glassed so they can preserve it which is understandable. The flight museum is definitely a must see when you are here in Seattle!

The Museum of Flight is a must visit when travelling to the Seattle area. Especially an aviator geek like myself, it got me all giddy as the Super Constellation presents itself in full view as we pull into the parking area. The Museum of Flight boasts an excellent collection of aircraft that is unrivalled by most air museums. A few of my favorites are a few F4U Cosair in excellent condition, Concorde, the first 747, a 707 Air Force One, and an SR71. I haven't flown in a Dreamliner yet, so having a Boeing 787 out in the outside display was truly appreciated. There is also a flight simulator with three degrees of movement that my son really liked.

We enjoyed the museum on a recent trip to Seattle. We arrived at opening and it was already busy. Docents are visible throughout the museum to offer information. My four year old had fun walking through the planes in the outdoor area, and loved the manipulatives in each area (have buttons, will push!) We are "quick" museum people, so we saw all exhibits in about 3 hours with a 20-ish minute intermission to take a break. Important to note there are stairs and ramps as well as elevators throughout. Some exhibits are indoors and some are outside, but covered.

A brand new visitor to this museum!!! Went today (12/29/23) at 12:15 PM. Should have known Friday afternoon would be jammed! So crowded with so many people! Parking was a hassle! Had to drive around twice before going to park at the overflow area.Navigating through the museum was pretty simple. Really enjoyed the bombers, fighter jets, the Boeing planes and the space flight gallery! The history of flights, how they were built and what were used to make them were quite astonishing! The different floors were full of interesting and detailed backgrounds of the Wars and what kind of planes and materials were used during those times.Overall, liked the layout, flight galleries and the gift shop! Took a little over an hour to browse around, look at numerous historical artifacts, military uniforms and planes they used. NASA Space vehicles were also great to see! Definitely worth visiting!!!Cons: Parking lot is not big enough when it's super popular and so crowded!!! Restrooms are also needed of extra accommodations and stalls. More sinks and toilets are a must, especially for a tourist spot next to the Boeing Field!

I hadn't been to The Museum of Flight since 1995 and honestly I don't remember much about that visit. However, today's visit was absolutely wonderful and amazing. I live a long way from here and I've shied away from returning due to traffic, etc. Based on today's visit, I'm going to make a point to visiting at least as often as possible, because the drive from Snohomish County was SO worth it!For starters, this place is SUPER cool, even of you're not into aviation. Another thing; this place is GIGANTIC, and I mean that in a good way. Today I got in for free because I attended a private event, but the admission price ($26) is a bargain for how much there is to see. You could easily spend all day here and not see it all. I got here when they opened at 10 (free parking!) and there was already a line to get in, but honestly when walking around it didn't feel that crowded. There's a large movie theatre where I saw a cute film in which the narrator went through the whole museum in fifteen minutes, but it was really informative. The "main building " is very cool, with aviation and space displays, a cafe (which I didn't try because it was kind of busy, but the prices looked reasonable, which these days is saying a lot!), the theatre and a really cool gift shop that was much bigger than I imagined. There's a cool bridge that goes across the street to another huge building with exhibits on space and two floors of World Wars I and II. I could go on, but hopefully you get the point. This place is amazing and I can't wait to go back!
