I went to The Montauk for the second time this past Sunday. We were immediately greeted by the host and sat at a cozy couch behind the DJ. Yes, they have a DJ on a Sunday and Happy Hour! They have a ton of happy hour specials which was so awesome. Our server was so sweet and kind (I wish I got her name). The couches were really low and she made sure to sit on the bench to ensure we were at eye level. I work in the industry and I really love when servers aren't looking down at their guests when they take orders. It makes the experience more personable and friendly. We ordered the buffalo fries and caesar salad. Unfortunately we had big eyes because the portion sizes were HUGE. The food arrived quickly and so did our drinks. Overall 10/10 experience with service, ambiance (not too loud considering the DJ), and quality of the food. Will definitely be back again!

Came here on a Sunday night and it was ok but nothing to write home about. There was plenty of parking in the lot and it wasn't crowded at all. I think we just missed the DJ and everyone that was here for happy hour. We made a reservation online but the night we went you could have walked in. There is an upper part of the restaurant near the bar and a lower part towards the front. We sat in the lower part. There was also live music from someone with a guitar that night so it was a bit louder. For drinks, I ordered a strawberry fields. It was good if you aren't looking for heavy alcohol taste and something very sweet. It reminded me of a strawberry soda. Light and refreshing but ultimately too sweet for me. For appetizer we ordered the deviled eggs. These were just ok. The eggs were pretty small and also lacked a lot of flavor. We also weren't sure what to do with the arugula that came with it. It was piled in the middle with some potato straws? We weren't sure so we left it. For mains we both ordered the lobster roll. I got mine with a kale salad and my friend got hers with potato chips. She said the chips were flavorless and mildly stale. My kale salad could have been massaged longer. It was hard to chew. The lobster roll was good but we weren't expecting it to be so saucy and messy. It came with a crunchy topping and there was also a romaine leaf inside. On the plus side, they did not skimp on the lobster, mine had tons of pieces. It's a cute place to visit and the theme is on point but food and drink was just ok. Maybe next time we will come back with a larger group and try the espresso martini tree.

I visited The Montauk when I was visiting Scottsdale for my bestie's bachelorette trip. There were 10 of us at brunch and it was easy to make a reservation online. Since we had a larger party, I emailed with the events coordinator and she was super responsive! She let me know that there would be a minimum of $500 and that there would be a set menu. I was excited for the set menu because it made it easier for everyone! It even included a welcome drink which was nice! The restaurant is buzzing with lots of energy during brunch. There's a live DJ and it's super lively. A lot of us ordered the lobster roll which was just okay imo. It was too saucy for my taste and there wasn't that much lobster. But we did enjoy the sides that came with the meal, including potatoes, fresh fruit, bacon, and chips with truffle parmesan dip! We also ordered a kale salad on the side and we were big fans of that.Coming from San Francisco, a huge food city, I think we expected a little better food, but the environment and decor was still really fun and cute and we had a good time! We also loved the espresso martini/frosé tree!

Great music and food here, it can get a as bit loud at times with all the Scottsdale drinkers and parties who roll thru but it's got a great daytime vibe with live music! The menu has great options, and service is great. Chloe and Kaylie at the door are so welcoming and Kyle's service was great! Very patient and attentive.

Came here for my bachelorette - so cute! The ambiance is stellar. If you have a large party - absolutely get the espresso martini tower!!! :D we all loved it.Why it's a 3 stars: our service was okay; I do feel like our main entrees were brought out at very random times rather than as a group which wasn't ideal. Our food was also average, nothing necessarily to rave about. We also paid a pretty penny for our meal (a minimum amount due to having 14 girls), and I was a little annoyed that they wouldn't put the heaters on outside near us when we asked - it was cold and windy!

Our graduate wanted 'good vibes' so here we are lol. This is the place to be on a Saturday in Old Town. We celebrated with yummy drinks (big vote for the Frose!) and I had a Cobb salad and everyone else all ordered the fish tacos. Service was excellent! The music is LOUD. Very loud. But it's a party atmosphere so there you go. The place was packed. They do not take reservations so be prepared to wait for your two hour slot. Good time had by all

Came here with the family as we've driven by it but have never had the chance to stop. We arrived around 12:30 and ordered off of the brunch menu. I liked the fact that both breakfast and lunch items were available off the menu, and that there was a good selection, unlike some brunch menus. We ordered a breakfast bowl, breakfast burrito with fried chicken added, and a Weekender sandwich (fried eggs, bacon, cheese, and avocado). Everything was enjoyable. No complaints and the standouts of the meal were the breakfast burrito and Weekender. Nice setup and view if you can sit outside. Parking can be rough.

I have been to the Montauk a few times now and my experience has always been the same, vibes 10/10, drinks 10/10, service 5/10. I don't like giving poor reviews, but every time I have dinner at Montauk the service isn't great. The restaurant has a trendy east coast vibe that is unique and perfect for drinks before a night out or when looking for a lively dinner in the heart of old town. The Montauk has some pretty fun cocktails and food specials on their menu that make for a fun dinning experience, however I just wish that the servers were friendlier and more attentive.

I've only been here once but was PLEASANTLY surprised! Came in during happy hour and got the crispy chicken sliders, Caesar salad, and the Mac and cheese! The food was absolutely delicious and generous portions. It's such a cool little restaurant with a little nautical theme. I felt like I was on the coast! I can't complain about the service, it gets busy and I think they did a great job. 100% will be returning to try out more!
