It's tough to get a 5 star rating from me. I'm picky, particular, and well, spoiled when it comes to gourmet and, accordingly, world class service. My partner and I had come to this restaurant 3 years ago on our second date and I probably had other things on my mind. Fast forward three years later to last night and we finally returned. So happy we did. I didn't find this particularly French the first time and didn't last night either but that's not important right now. Everything we had here was simply awesome! Reserved a table for two and unlike some places on a Friday night probably didn't need to. While the service was initially a bit slow at first, once we were "discovered" it was game on!! I haven't had this much fun in a restaurant for quite a while. The servers are sincere and witty. They have something to offer besides food and drink. It's called personality. Also, the chef/owner came to our table and spoke with us for a while. This was refreshing, intelligent. Well traveled and knows how to communicate. I was impressed. On to the....Food: crunchy salad was so good. Lightly dressed (like in Europe) blend of crunchy slices of green beans, fresh arugula, pickled onion and crushed peanuts had almost an Asian appeal. I could eat this every day. Partner typically doesn't like salads in American restaurants. Not the case here. We devoured this together in about 9 seconds. On the recommendation of our kind server I had the Shrimp Tartine, a lovely, rich cajun style sauce with giant shrimp over Noble toast. Better than advertised, will be hard not to order the next time we come. Partner had the duck confit cavatelli. Smoky , sweet and savory. I kept reaching over to steal bite after bite. Pasta was perfect. I could not resist. For desert we shared the chocolate mousse. Real maraschino cherries, whipped cream and some kind of crunchy chocolate cookie bits on top, nice twist. I kept going back for more than any descent man should. Indulgence. Can't wait to try another dessert when we return. Complimentry Lambrusco was the cherry on top, similar to an amaretto/aperitif in Europe, gratis. We have not had a dining experience like this in quite some time, if perhaps ever in this country. Delightful, fun, absolutely gourmet and simply delish. Already looking forward to our next visit. Oh, and the staff... did I mention the staff? Mille Grazie!

A friend and I came here for Sunday afternoon date. It wasn't too busy and we opted to sit at the bar on the patio. Bartenders greeted us quickly and provided us with menus and let us know what the specials were. I choose the house Pinot Gris and my friend had the house Cab. Both were good. We started with the bistro flatbread which was very good. For our entrees we had the Coq au Vin and my date had the braised wagyu beef cheek. I had never had cheek and it was quite good. Reminded me a rich pot roast. For dessert we split the blueberry bread pudding, reminded me of French toast with strawberry gelato. The bartenders checked on us regularly and were very pleasant.

Food is great but the wait staff makes a visit a superb experience The menu is served tapas style - and sharing is encouraged All of our entrees were delightful but the best came last - the blueberry bread pudding. Go hungry; take friends and have a good time Oh they do have a happy hour 4:00 to 6:00 - even house happy hour wine was good

Nice little spot situated in a shopping plaza. The outdoor seating area is pretty small but we were there early for drinks and appetizers, I'm sure it gets pretty crowded. The happy hour menu prices were very reasonable, we had some very good wine and shrimp appetizers that were delicious. Looking at the regular menu prices they seemed very expensive to me, and that will probably prevent me from coming back for dinner.

Mick Brasserie is my favorite restaurant in Scottsdale at this time. Everything from the food, vibe, atmosphere, service, wine, is impeccable. It is very laid back, and comfortable, while having extremely exciting food. Escargot is the best I've ever had.

Best weather for outdoor dining-- fresh air & someChampagne ... a great what to celebrate Valentine Day... or any other day for us ! Services is top notch as always, but today we were so lucky to get the chance to meet and greet & some laughter with Jeff (som), Stefan (coolest guy), and Janet (#fabulous)... the original crew we started with @Mick a few years back -- life is as good & still is good with these guys when we are here ! Kudos ... Menu for this time is incredible -- we got the wine (Puy Blanquet St. Emilion Grans Cru) & steak (Chateau Briand) & a few other tasting here the there ... the Bistro flatbread was definitely worth-noticed & our new favorite was Onion Tart (as appetizers). Among the wine tasting, we enjoyed the Viogner (Terroir du Vent) that Jeff introduced, we picked up a bottle to-go to try out at home again. We really enjoy this place -- and continue to enjoy & support & being our friends to Mick's.

Wow! I do not know how it took so long for us to make it to this incredible restaurant. First of all, if they served canned soup, the service alone was worth going out for. Janice and everyone else there went so far above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our meal. Service so exceptional is such a rare treat and in this day of tipping everyone everywhere for simply handing you something. It was wonderful to get to tip for truly exceptional attention. Now the food, again I hardly have the words to do it justice. We love Foie Gras in all its forms and I can say this was probably the top two preparations I have ever enjoyed, and this is coming off a two week trip to France! I do not enjoy escargot the texture is something I cannot get past, however I gave their preparation a try and I will happily order it again. So unique and thoughtful. The chef makes sure texture is as perfect as the flavors are, the breads used in the dishes are just as epic as the main component, nothing is overlooked. Who knew all I needed was a little brie to enjoy some snails ;) I could go on for days about the incredible meal we enjoyed at The Mick. I truly woke up this morning trying to figure out when I can get back to try all the dishes I missed. We will be going back often.

Service here was good. I felt like the menu was delicious but a bit limited. I came with my kids and there's no kids options. I requested a inside table on Opentable and was not accommodated for this. Outside patio is nice but it's 110° in Phoenix right now and I would not have chosen those. We came specifically for the steak tartar which was yummy, but nothing special. And it was "deconstructed"which I just felt was unnecessary. Honestly, my steak tartare is better. We had the summer crab salad, which was delicious the octopus, which was very overcooked, steelhead trout which my nanny liked, and the kids ended up with $44 steaks . The steaks came with a scalloped potato which my son wouldn't eat at all. There were no options for fries on the side or some thing else that he might have eaten. I would say my kids are not at all picky And so that was a bit disappointingI would say overall the experience was not nearly as good as I expected it to be given the kinds of reviews. I really think it deserves 3 1/2 stars, but there is no option for those.I guess we will try it again because it's so close to our house

This place had been on my radar for a few months now and I finally got the chance to try it out when one of my friends in our group suggested it for our monthly food night out. I came here not knowing what to expect since I hadn't glanced at the beverage selection or the menu beforehand and let me just tell you it did not disappoint. Right when you enter, we noticed that the vibe was classy but not stuffy, borderline almost like a comfortably casual. It also gave off an inviting beachy ambience with the decor and color schemes. The service was top notch. Our server was friendly, gave great suggestions, and was helpful in answering all the questions we had. He even sang along to the music with us at one point. At no point during our meal did we once ever feel like we were rushed, our waters were always full, and rounds of ordering were spaced out at a comfortable pace. For drinks, we got a Cabernet, Moscato, and an IPA. All suited our different taste buds quite nicely. For food, since we were there during happy hour, we ordered meatballs, pork belly, and the butternut and mushroom flatbread from the happy hour menu to start off with. The meatballs were delicious, not too dry, and that sauce + the spiced yogurt combo, were a big hit at our table. When we ordered the pork belly, our server had said that it was one of the best pork bellies ever, we were skeptical after hearing that, but HE DID NOT LIE. The pork belly was lightly crispy, melt in your mouth tender, and that sauce was not in the least bit overwhelming. It was the perfect balance of sweet and savory with a hint of spice. I would come back just for this dish alone and we were just starting out! The flatbread was also good but paled in comparison to the other two items. After that, we decided to order crab cake and lobster bisque, pork loin chop, and another order of the pork belly. My friend who ordered the crab cake and lobster bisque said it was deliciously creamy but not in an overwhelming way, she would even order the dish without the crab cake if she could! The pork loin chop was also delicious, a great balance of smokiness with a hint of sweetness, the lentils that came with it were whatever. Since we always have room for dessert, we decided to order the apple crumble bread pudding and the passion fruit crème brulee. My friends who ordered the bread pudding said it was good, just a classic bread pudding you can't go wrong with. The passion fruit crème brulee did not disappoint. The passion fruit flavor was subtle and did not overpower at all. Overall, this is a great spot to come for all types of groups, a night out with friends, with work associates, or with your relatives.

The service was impeccable. I don't think it could have been better. The timing of food as it was served was on point! We ordered the crunchy salad, crab stack, baked buratta and shrimp tartine. The flavors, textures and presentation were perfect. Definitely will go again
