The best lil' no frills industry bar in p.square with handsdown all around the best staff and the greatest hot dogs to ever grace a weiner roller. Dont act like a fuckin idiot and you wont find yourself on here doing mental gymnastics to blame the bar for your bad time. Shove a weiner in your mouth and have a blast.

Think "Shorty's Jr." If given the choice of any bar in Pioneer Square, The Meyer gets my vote every time.

Authentic Seattle experience. Great mix of folks. Went for a happy hour with some coworkers, sat down at the bar and thoroughly enjoyed this place. Bartender has a witty sense of humor and is entertaining AF. Drinks are poured favorably and reasonably priced. Love the pinball and other games as a novelty, though I did not play I love every bit of nostalgia I can get. This place is unpretentious and underrated from the looks of it. Don't expect a Seattle bougie cocktail menu. This is a straight to the point kinda place and I love it for that.

Do you like dive bars? Do you like an eclectic mix of customers? Do you like a pirate theme? Do you like old country music? Do you like Rainier Tall Boys? Do you like a spunky barmaid who knows what a schooner is? Do you like an outdoor patio with a view of the people of Occidental Square in their glory and squalor? I do. I had a random beer in the late afternoon sun outside The Meyer and it made me happy to find a slice of old Seattle. And if you don't like those things, They Meyer probably is not for you. And that's ok.

I went out of my way to find this joint, paid for parking and went in to play pinball and have some beers. My excitement came to a halt when I showed up after 2 pm and was rudely told to get out that they weren't open yet. Their website clearly states they open at 2pm. If they were really closed, you'd think the front door would have been locked. Don't waste your time or your $ here. Also, it seems like the "Meyer" enjoys hiring or at least keeping rude employees around. Even Caitlin from Yelp on July 2023 noted that the bartender was rude to her too. That must be the vibe they're going for.

Bad drinks. Worse service. Old fashioned was all bitters, no simple syrup. Bartender was rude. Talked to some other patrons that said the same thing.

The Meyer is an awesome and eclectic punk rock dive just off Occidental Square. Great service. Great dawgs. Great weird pirate decorations. Pinball to boot. Stop in.

Hung out for a couple of drinks and had a great time. Tried to get another round but the bartender had walked out and was nowhere to be seen. We asked the other person behind the bar if he could serve us but he said he'd been made "abundantly clear" he wasn't the bartender. Not sure how he could be behind the bar without a liquor license, in theory he could have served us but refused to because he "wasn't the bartender"
