The Melt

Visiting San Diego, we found this on Yelp. We went during early evening hours and it was pretty empty. So ordering was easy and the staff was friendly. They special-made my son's burger to his liking. The food was actually pretty good.

I didn't visit in person, but I ordered through Uber Eats, and wow--this was hands down one of the best burgers I've ever had! It was cheesy, super tasty, and just hit the spot. Honestly, I'm already thinking about ordering from here again.Service: My food arrived still warm and perfectly packed. You can tell they took their time making sure everything was placed neatly in the bag and then sealed it up.The Melt has gained a new customer for life.

Decently priced burger cooked to a medium, pinkish, juicy temperature. Patty is about 1/3 lb and you can add another patty for a few. The bun was lightly toasted. The special sauce had an interesting slightly acidic maybe taste to it but it still complemented the burger. Lettuce tomatoes and onions are free toppings while other fancier toppings such as avacado are an extra $1.99. Quick service, order kiosks or order at the counter. Not the best burger in San Diego but definitely a decent one!Street parking is paid, and relatively easy to find on a weekday. Upstairs, outdoor, and downstairs seating. Facilities could use a clean, but appreciate that bathrooms are provided nonetheless.

I have been meaning to try The Melt all week and tonight we finally were able to stop by and grab some quick eats. They have kiosks by the entrance where you can order food, option to pay via card/ApplePay, and enter the numbers of one of the buzzers, which will notify you for when your food is ready! We ordered:- two bbq bacon meltburgers- patty melt-hot n' spicy crispy chicken sandwich- 2 parmesan friesThe wait for our food did not take long at all. Roughly 10 minutes or less. There is plenty of seating inside and outside available. Lots of ketchup and mustard packets to grab + option to dispense ketchup yourself, into a plastic sauce cup. The food was okay, nothing special but we definitely were all full after eating, which was good! A little skimpy on the fries... only half full in the box containers they came in.

Having stopped by here during previous cons, they open a bit later and on our way back from the One Piece orchestra show, we stopped in and ordered via kiosk screen.(2) parm fries (2) BBQ bacon burgers(1) spicy chix sandwhich(1) patty melt.The sandwiches were yummy i forgot to take pictures. The jalapeños in the chix sandwhich had all them seeds so watch ya bites haha. Could get a bit spicy.The fries i thought could have been fried a bit more as they were a tad soggy not crispy. Our containers were about half full so portion was a bit skimp.It was hectic and with a lot of commotions and people in and out they got the food out properly and efficiently with a good ordering system to cater to the comic con crowd.The place has some tables on first floor and upstairs seating! You could also choose to sit outdoors which was packed when we stopped in.All in all would return!

I will be returning here again. This place has delicious food. I'm also not a fan of pickles but I gave the pickles here a shot and ended up eating the entire thing.BBQ Bacon MeltBurger: 5/5 This one is tasty. I found that the meltburger by itself though (the other one we ordered) was simple and straight to the point so I find the other better but that isn't to say this was not good. Their burgers are great. However this is the second time that I order delivery and they need to work on their packaging. The pictures show 2 different deliveries and the fries are all spilled out. Come on guys, put them in a bag or little box.. The pickles also need better packaging. Other than that, great food.

So many people would go to sleep hungry if it weren't for The Melt. I am so grateful that a meal as good as this exists so late into the night. Never had a bad meal here, and I recently found out that the food even tastes good when you order it without the cheese. It's always packed here on the weekend nights so be ready to wait. Glad there's so many places to sit.

Food here is amazing ! One of the best burgers I've ever had. And the garlic French fries were delicious . Restaurant is nice and staff friendly.

The food was delicious. I really enjoyed it here. When in the area again I would definitely go back
