We frequent The Marketplace for coffee/pastries/sandwiches. There's free WIFI and easy free parking and lots of comfy seating. Sometimes the pastry case is empty and sad if it's later in the day.

Came here after lunch with friend for some drinks and really is a great little hang out spot in this part of town.Started out with a couple of Paper plane cocktails, which being a cocktail enjoyer have never seen or heard of before. Could taste the Buffalo Trace, with a nice, sweet aftertaste. All parts of the day can be enjoyed here as under one roof there is a coffee shop, Bar, bottle shop and Wine shop called Earth & Wine. Amongst it is plenty of seating. A perfect place to hang out and enjoy a few of your preferred beverage. I could see it being pretty crowded on a nice day, but it really is a nice set up here with indoor and outdoor seating. The service was good with drinks being served straight to your table.Just on the same strip which is connected to the Marketplace are other restaurants like Joes which looks like a great place for dinner and Hammy's burgers which our friend recommended. The Marketplace is a fun little hang at Pleasant Beach.

Took 25 minutes to make 4 sandwiches (2 of them pbj). There was almost no one in the place, 6 staff. One walking around with 2 sandwiches looking for whoever ordered them. Had to be told to look outside! The attitude of the cashier is best described as 'losing the Will to live' and insolence. Has a very tough time remembering your order, so that's fun. She just seems to guess at what you're having. I will drive in to town from now on.

I love this place BUT...THE sandwich people have their own radio with the volume at a level where it is loud out on the customer area. The coffee people have a radio turned up loud as well, but they have a different song playing. They are both playing different songs that clash badly with each other .My brains are scrambled!!!I asked for some one, anyone to turn off their music. I am still stuck with 2 entirely different hard rock songs playing in the customer area at the same time.EVEN BETTER PLAY SOME MUSIC THE CUSTOMERS MIGHY ACTUALLY LIKE and only one song at a time.

Cool place. But if you can fry an egg and bacon and put it on toast, save your $14 and don't buy their breakfast sandwich.

Terrible customer service. I ordered a sandwich online for pick up but never actually received it. When I arrived, staff told me they were "very backed up" and orders were delayed, including mine. Twenty minutes later, I asked again and they told me they were out of bacon, so they couldn't make the BLT I had ordered online an hour before. No apologies for my wasted time in driving over or for making me wait around for twenty minutes for a sandwich they couldn't make. The sourdough doughnuts do not live up to the hype. They're heavy and among the worst doughnuts we've had.

Covid makes things hard: there is a big sign where one usually waits for coffee saying "Once you ordered your coffee please wait outside". so, I waited outside. After a while I noticed a few people coming out with their coffees.. people who ordered after me. I went back inside. I found my coffees waiting on the counter.. for a while. when I asked they said "we called your name"... "but, I was outside. maybe the sign should be removed?".. "well people usually know what to do".So, yes regulars have been keeping up with changes and know that this sign should be ignored now (covid restrictions are easing), but, if I am new here, or a tourist.. maybe I am not fluent in English...It wasn't clear which coffee was which, staff was not helpful when asking about menu...Covid is making it hard for all of us, I get that. But basic human compassion and sympathy would be welcomed. You don't have to make me feel bad for trying to understand your rules and your menu. The coffees were great. the food was good.If you like good coffee and good food served with the charm of Soviet era staff and the friendlyness of a Parisian waiter... this place is for you.

Really like this place. But the person standing over my salad to make it had his mask under his nose. No protection there. Ugh! Makes me wonder- are other health/food prep practices being followed?

The sandwiches were okay. I think we made a mistake by not getting the caprese sandwiche toasted.
