The food was okay, My BLT was super salty and my boyfriend turkey club was super salty as well. The chocolate chip cookie was so delicious! The staff were sweet and kind, and the setting was super cute! We do want to come back and try their breakfast to give it another shot.

Favorite item on the menu is the BLAT, Bacon, lettuce, avocado and tomato sandwich with kettle chips and a chocolate chip cookie which comes from their bakery, see photos. It's a cute small, homey, kitschy place with pleasant staff, Erica is a standout! I keep saying I will try other menu items but then you can't go wrong with this sandwich! Soft, fresh, sourdough bread, shredded lettuce, mayo, bacon, avocado and tomato, a must try!

What a cute place! From the outside you might not notice it but walk in and it's like going to moms for breakfast! Very cozy with a clean home made meets bakery feel. Staff is very friendly and fast.Great place to take my brother who was in from the east coast. We had eggs for breakfast - mine was spinach omelet and his was chili omelet. You can tell real ingredients were used. Nice for a breakfast meet up.

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this spot yet! I've been coming to Lunch Box for years. Both breakfast and lunch are delicious and they have great specials. I usually order the eggs, potatoes, and sausage for breakfast, but their other options are really good, too. For lunch, they usually offer a good lunch specials. Today's was a roast beef and Ortega chili melt with a cup of soup (potato ham). All their lunches come with a bag of chips and cookie. They offer daily soups that are delicious and fresh baked goods. My favorite is the pumpkin muffin. The service is great. They have a lot of ladies who have been there long enough to know the regulars. There is ample seating and the parking lot if big enough. If you are in the La Mesa area check them out. I think you'll enjoy it!

If you're looking for excellent food at a excellent price then this is the place for you. You walk in seat yourself, and will be greeted by friendly employees. We hadn't been here before and there is so much on the menu to choose from, our waitress was very helpful with the decision making.
