"KIOSK" LUMPIAOk! I see you! I appreciate ANY representation so I am going to show my support. It's at the mall. It's not a restaurant. It's a kiosk. This is the first I've seen Lumpia being served at a mall (Fashion Valley).- near - air fried- quick service- get the spicy vinegar dipAs I was in line, I've heard some weird comments from uncultured people walking by. "What is that what, does it look like?" "Lumpia? I thought it was candy until I saw the menu had pork." WTF. In my head I wanted to tell these people to keep moving and go home to their potato salad with raisins. While those who haven't been to the kiosk and just read reviews and wonder how? HOW! Owner has 2 big machines that air fry and I'm not talking about the air fryers on your kitchen counters... I'm talking about big machines. The lumpia are premade/frozen and it only takes couple minutes. That's how!CHICKEN LUMPA - It's not the typical greasy authentic lumpia we all come to love. It's air fried lumpia, nice crunch without the grease!!! The filling flavor was a little off for me, it wasn't terrible but it wasn't the best. It was super lighter in flavor - kind of oddly reminded me a dumpling filling, not so much lumpia filling. I love my lumpia dipped in vinegar and I love it more dipped in spicy vinegar so I'm glad they offered that. TURON WITH UBE DRIZZLE - served with powdered sugar and whip cream. Again, not the typical authentic Turon I am use to, feel like it's missing some elements. It reminded me more of the fried banana and ice cream served at a Thai resistant. I had to sit and eat the Turon because it was harder to hold and move around. But it was extra nice to walk around the outdoor mall with non greasy lumpia in my fingers and people glancing over to see "what she eating". KIOSK LUMPIA! Call me bias because I am Filipino, but I think snacking on lumpia beats many of the eaters in their food court. Until the next review...

The Lumpia Joint is a food booth situated on the ground level of the Fashion Valley Mall across from Foot Locker. The menu had three types of lumpia (chicken, pork, veggie) and turon with a choice of five different toppings. Turon was a spring roll with banana and jackfruit filling. I am going to have to return and try this sweet offering because I have not seen it elsewhere yet. The lumpia was sold in quantities of five or ten with sweet & sour or sweet chili available as a dipping sauce.I picked pork for my protein and bought an order of five ($6.99). The workers used a convection air oven to warm up the lumpia and give them a nice crisp. The size of the rolls was reasonable, but the cost was high relative to the Filipino mom and pop places that sell this product in neighborhoods like Mira Mesa and National City. I do like their presence at the mall though because it provides another diverse culinary option if you want a snack.

I have had their Lumpia a few times. But this time I honestly did not enjoy them. It seemed as if they were lacking flavor, or maybe freezer burned. Idk but they just did not do it for me.

Got the munchies while shopping and saw this "kiosk" booth selling lumpia!!! Who can say no to the nostalgic eats of Filipino cuisine??!! Course I'm gonna stop by and check it out. Nice, hot and delicious! It was reminiscent to my childhood days of all the family parties and gatherings with relatives, etc. I can even remember my own babies holding one in each hand cause lumpia is so good! Lol Great memories! So I savored every bite while sitting on a bench daydreaming of my youth and all the sweet memories of watching my Mom make these fresh from scratch. Thank you for the smiles and recalling some awesome memories!

What a wonderful surprise to find a new Filipino restaurant at Fashion Valley Mall. Well it is more of a cart than a restaurant. I LOVE LUMPIA and the Lumpia Joint did not disappoint. Delicious. We ordered $6.99 for 5 pork rolls. Crispy and golden. Tasty and meaty. The sweet and sour sauce was very sweet and we decided to barely tap it in the sauce. This lumpia is so flavorful you can go without sauce. We will definitely return.

I love lumpia. I was born in the Philippines and grew up eating lumpia at every party. So you would think by now that i should be over it. Well I was, until I had my hands on some lumpia from the lumpia joint. I'm pregnant right now so when I had a bite of their turon I was in heaven. Turon is a dessert egg roll with banana and jackfruit. You need to try the turon with whip cream and their strawberry syrup!!! Like why haven't I thought of this?!!!!! Why am I only figuring this out now? Is this modern day Filipino food with a twist?Don't get me started on the pork and chicken lumpia. It was so scrumptious. You would not be disappointed ordering from this place. The only thing i am missing is rice

Food: 2/5Service and Setting: 3/5Value: 2/5The Lumpia Joint is a small food stand on the first level of Fashion Valley. They serve piping hot lumpia and turon. The lady serving me was very nice and told me that my order would be ready a little after 4 minutes. They have precooked lumpia that they place into this giant air fryer sort of machine and it literally dumps your lumpia out when it is finished. Quite a show.Pork Lumpia: 2/5They have 2 types of lumpia, one being pork and the other being chicken. The lady told me that they taste very similar. You can choose between sweet and sour or sweet chili sauce to dip your lumpia in and I went with sweet and sour. The lumpia are very small and the wrapper doesn't have a fully fried texture to it, more like an air-fried frozen item, which makes sense. It does carry a fair bit of oil too. The filling is the biggest let down. I'm not Filipino nor have I eaten a multitude of lumpias in my life, but this just wasn't that great. Most of the lumpias that I have tried and enjoyed were very meat forward and I actually would not be able to tell you if there were any veggies in them. The lumpia at The Lumpia Joint has a very squishy filling with a healthy amount of veggies that give me fake Chinese veggie spring roll vibes. Though I am sure everything was fully cooked because of the temperature, the combination of the steam from the veg and conservative amounts of meat gave it this very odd squishy raw ground meat texture. Though I was not the biggest fan, come out and give it a try!

Very disappointed I wanted to love this place I didn't even get to try it. I ordered 2 orders of 5 one pork one veggie. While waiting for my order my mom asked the guy pouring sauces if he doesn't wear gloves he was using the same napkins as he was using to wipe the counter. The lady who I assume owns it got upset. My mom requested that she wore gloves when preparing my order. She was taking orders and preparing them all without washing her hands. She washed her hands and put gloves on. She gave me my food and I asked for an additional sauce. She said it would be $1. I said if every 1 order of 5 comes with a sauce and I purchased 2 orders for 2 people why would you not give me an additional one. She began yelling saying she was calling security because my mom was difficult. My mom tried explaining to her what she was asking and she was yelling please leave and got upset so I requested my money back. She snatched the bag and began to aggressively do the return. She was still yelling as we were walking away.

Good prices for decent food. Nothing above par, nothing below par. $7 for 5 fresh pieces is well-suited to a quick walk and shop.

I thoroughly enjoy lumpia, and I had hoped for better outcome at the Lumpia Joint.I ordered two types of lumpia. I ordered the vegetable, and the pork. I couldn't decide which sauces I would want for these. I asked the gentleman for two different types of sauces. It didn't make sense to me that each order is five lumpia, so I ordered two orders which equals 10 lumpia, and I was told I could have two sauces but the second sauce would be extra. (?) I said okay, but when I opened my order I had two of the same type of sauce. The vegetable lumpia were soggy and very salty. I would not order these again. The pork lumpia provided great flavor, and I would recommend this order, but I'm not coming back to this kiosk. There are plenty Filipino food joints, I was just surprised to find this on the mall and they're always a great snack. This particular kiosk falls short for me, make your own decision. My experience could be just unusual day, and your meal could be excellent.
