Love this place! It is my absolutely favorite here in San Diego for Peruvian Ceviche. And trust me I have been searching other restaurants find it! Nothing like having ceviche when you are looking to eat something light and fresh, and if you are hungover. I have tried other items such as Lomo Saltado and fried rice which are very tasty. Staff is very pleasant and the food is great!

A decent meal, maybe a bit more expensive than it should be for mostly being carbs. The flavor is packed and the beef is well cooked - mostly tender - I just wish there was more! It tastes good, but the amount of rice and fries is overpowering and too filling. Bring out the favor flavors of steak and veggies, crispier fries, and this spot would be golden.Service was good, can't ask for much more out of ordering at the counter.I like the liberty station public market ambiance. This place is in its own corner though!

Hubs loves Tallarin de Carne, and couldn't pass up trying the dish here. It was quite tasty. The noodles had a good texture. The beef was tender, and the dish was flavorful overall. Good portion for us to share since we were trying other things, too.

Some of the best tasting ceviche I had in San Diego. The shrimp and fish combo were delightful.Papa rellena, Aji De Gallinam, Parihuela seafood soup, and Alfajores perunos all amazing and delicious!Long lines to order, food comes out in a timely manner though. Can't wait to come back for more!

No complaints! Good food, good vides, and the Chicha was astounding ;D The ceviche fish was a bit over cooked (in the lime) so it was more tender than i'd like. Friendly staff though and a good vibe at liberty station as always

The best Lomo Saltado in San Diego! Feels like a home cooked meal! Plenty of seating indoors or outdoors. After your meal, enjoy the beautiful park and airport. Also its inside liberty station, so plenty of desserts or other foods to try!

Back in the day, The Latin Chef used to be located on Garnet Ave in the heart of PB. They resurrected their business in a shared corner suite at the Liberty Public Market in Point Loma. Meze Greek Fusion was the prior business at this spot. You order at the service counter where there were about four seats while a small table across the room could hold six customers. The menu was now focused solely on Peruvian cuisine with no more Brazilian fare. The front page listed the appetizers, soups, and seafood items while the back contained the meat entrees, vegetarian dishes, beverages and desserts. Because I came right before they were about to close for the day, I ordered a couple of items to-go and ate them in a public concourse area.I chose the Leche de Tigre for a starter which contained fresh fish and shrimp marinated in lime juice with some white corn kernels and corn nuts. For the price, I had expected more than two medium pieces of shrimp and minced whitefish in the mixture. It was a disappointment as I should have ordered one of the ceviches instead. For an entree, I selected the Picante de Mariscos which consisted of shrimp, calamari, and octopus in a creamy tomato sauce with white rice and slices of boiled potatoes. This dish was much better and very hearty like a seafood paella. With the closing of nearby Pisco, at least The Latin Chef provides a Peruvian dining option in this neighborhood.

The specials have been my favorites here, however I have yet to try all other dishes, I've visited just a few times and every time the specials are different and I would order. I must say that each special was pretty amazing! Authentic and delicious!! They are generous with their plantains, I would always place an order with my entree and it keeps me snacking throughout my workday. Their restaurant is located inside the Liberty Station Public Market amongst many other vendors. While I've tried some of the vendor entrees The Latin Chef has been my favorite! Their entrees are large and worth the price we pay. They have a small dining area in front of their counter and counter seating also, in addition to the Liberty Station outdoor and indoor common area seating. Highly recommend you try and find out for yourself if you like authentic Latin food!

Very very slow service. And they don't answer the phone so you can't order ahead! Food is good but not sure it's worth the wait!
