I was getting married and I needed a place to have the event. I wasn't looking for anything grand because that translates to expensive in the wedding world. Hell, anything attached with the word "wedding" is typically expensive. Truth be told I really wanted to get married in a brewery but that didn't pan out due to unresponsive beer garden managers. I remembered a friend of mine had an art show at the Lakewood Seward Park Community Club years back. As I walked past tables filled with art for sale I looked around the place and thought it was charming. Never again did I think back to the venue until I needed one and my original plans felll through. This was the only place I was going to get hitched at because it was all I needed. While it is rather simple inside, it has charm and potential. The main room is the perfect size for small to medium sized gatherings (it can fit 150 seated people). You have a clean slate to work with, all white walls, a stage, and hardwood floors, and the size is manageable enough that you don't feel overwhelmed. The price is very reasonable considering the cost of other venues. Many similar venues were higher in price. You rent by the hour and included in the rental are tables, chairs, and use of the kitchen. There is a coat room which was converted into a dressing room for my event and the yard to the side of the building is spacious. Another positive is the venue allows dogs inside. The best thing about the clubhouse? Sheila, the venue coordinator. I can't praise her enough! She responded to my e-mails in a timely manner and answered all of my many questions. She was always available to let me view the venue when I was in the planning stages. I couldn't have asked for a better venue to get married in. It fit my now husband and I's vision of having a fun relaxed DIY wedding.

I had never heard of this venue until my friend sent out the invites for her baby shower to be held there.I have to admit, it was a perfect setting for my friend's baby shower. This place accommodated chairs and tables up to 100 people. I love how they have a full kitchen, in which we were able to cook some food to ensure we served the guests some fresh food that wouldn't be cold. Separate men and women's restrooms and also a coat room.

Having just spent 18 hours there, I would say this is a great venue for community gatherings. The room is a bit echo-y, so I do not recommend it for meetings/trainings with less than 30 people- but it works with music and holds over 100 people. Room set up is up to the renter, which can be cumbersome, but they have about 8 round tables and 20 rectangular tables (six and eight ft) that you can use. You are not allowed to hang ANYTHING on the walls- but it IS possible to string up xmas lights around the perimeter without tacking, nailing, sticking or taping. There is a kitchen, bathrooms, coat room... great lighting, gorgeous floor, a stage for live music and a piano.Layout looks something like this: -------------- -------------| | | | | | (stage) | || |________| || || - || | || | || - || || || O O || || |--- ------------ ----------| | || | (kitchen) || ________| ______________|

Having grown up in the 'country' I can say that this is an upscale 'Grange Hall' really, a community center for rent for many purposes and while it's actually quite nice and well appointed, the pricing is a bit high for weekends but seems to be reasonable for the other rentals.

Such a cozy, sweet space, reminiscent of various abbeys and homesteads throughout the city. Our first time here, the corner lot looks almost like a house, the only distinguishing feature, a sign outside letting you know you've arrived at your destination. Plenty of street parking, at least on a Sunday evening, and easy street-level entry. Pass through a small lobby space and find yourself in a delightful, square-shaped room with tall ceilings, cozy lighting and a feeling of warmth. A kitchen is available for use to the renters, as is a small stage atop which can be found a standing piano, whose sounds carry beautifully throughout the establishment. The room is large enough to host a number of people, tables, chairs, etc.; yet contained enough to feel warm and full.

Do not have an event here in the summer or when Seattle has hot weather. It was uncomfortably HOT, our whole party was roasting in this hall. 1. No A/C (2 or so old ass ceiling fans)2. Floors are dirty3. Garbage bins outside smell terrible. I pulled up before the doors were open and you can smell the garbage bins from the street. 4. There's a door on the left side of stage that if you open you lose your deposit. (It's not dead bolted there's just a handwritten sign to not open door)5. Majority of the windows are painted shut. No circulation *please read below:On 08/13/16 we had a baby shower, when we opened up a guy came in and started taking tables and chairs. I didn't know who he was at first and then I asked him, "I'm sorry who are you?" He then proceeded to tell my sister that he needs more chairs for "the pie eating contest at Seward Park." I went off...we rented this hall and those chairs, tables etc came with the hall! He then left pissed off and brought the items back in the hall. This mysterious guy WORKED for the hall!!!! So you creep in the early morning and take sh*t from the hall while people are setting up???? Hall is spacious, bathrooms are clean. no A/C and the thief is why I gave 1 star.

Simple and a little tired, but homey and welcoming. And budget priced compared to almost anywhere else. Just had my car club's winter dinner there for a 4th year in a row; my kids threw me a 70th birthday party there last year; and I've been to dozens of other functions there over the years. Would have held my daughter's wedding reception there if her guest list had been shorter. Very nice staffers. An all-around good experience.

We held a 60th birthday party here with about 70 people, and the LSPCC clubhouse was excellent for the occasion. First of all, there's just a warm, friendly and light feeling to the space. While you aren't allowed to tape or pin anything on the walls, there are plenty of hooks all around the walls and pillars, and we were easily able to transform the room into a glittering, jazzy dance hall - complete with beautiful hardwood floor, intimate stage, and a disco ball. I was also very impressed with the staff. They were friendly to work with, and answered my many email questions quickly. The price is definitely affordable, and the whole experience was easy and fun, and I would use this venue again in a heartbeat. It's a great neighborhood place.
