We knew what we were getting into. Last time we did the tasting menu, we were not impressed. We did the $130/person valentine's prefix dinner with $50/person wine pairing. It comes out to be about $216/person after tax and 20% service charge. Our servers were really nice, but the food was meh as usual. The first few appetizers and salad were joke. We would have eaten at home if we knew we were getting potato chips and goat cheese that tastes nothing special. The chia seed salad was the worst creation ever! Nothing went well together. I'm keeping 3 stars only because of the nice staff and the location. We still had a good time, but do not recommend this place for good food. It's very unfortunate because this place used to taste way better when they first opened. Now every time we go back whether for dinner or for brunch, we go home disappointed. Go somewhere else if you are looking for good food that is worth your money.Unless someone badly wants to try this place, we don't need to come back here for a while.

I went for brunch and had the avocado toast with salmon and added eggs. While the portion was generous, I was disappointed. I was envisioning the salmon to be lox, smoked or some other way but what I got was more of a salmon salad on top of an overly toasted bread that almost broke my teeth. My date ordered the chilaquiles and was pleased but not blown away. Service was good, and the restaurant has a very modern and clean feel.

The restaurant is located in Lincoln Square South on the second floor. It is right across from Baron's. The restaurant has dim lighting. There is a bar in the middle and tables around. Went around 5:30pm on a Thursday and there weren't that many people. Had a reservation for around 10 people. The service was okay, but the waiter did not have the greatest attitude when attending to our table. I had the spicy margarita as a drink and it was not spicy or that good. I asked for some jalapeños to add in my drink. For appetizers, we had oysters, truffle fries, the miso mushrooms, Brussels sprouts and the bread. The bread was delicious. The truffle fries were pretty good as well. The oysters were okay, but the sauce accompanying it had no flavor. The Brussels sprouts were very yummy, but when we ordered the second time it was overly salty. The fried mushrooms were just alright as well it was on the sweeter side. For my entree I ordered one of their handmade pastas. This was a 0/5 for me. The presentation itself looks like dogfood. There was absolutely no taste to the pasta. It was so plain. Not sure what I was expecting, but for $41 this is not it.For the price point, the food was not that great. Would not come here again unless I had to.

I am shocked to see all these not-so-great reviews below about this place. Our experience was amazing from every dish and all the amazing employees. Daring was our waiter and he was a pleasure. We dined in during happy hour and we were shocked that there weren't many other folks inside, and were a little weary, but wow, our expectations were exceeded greatly and we are happy to say, it's one of the best experiences we've had and the food was the highlight. The portion sizes are literally extremely large, was not expecting that! The entire Dutch oven was basically filled with fries. The mushrooms didn't specify that they were breaded, but they were delicious. The Brussel sprouts were also scrumptious with the aioli that was on the bottom. Highly recommend you get the truffle fries, they are sooo fresh and the aoili is even better.

We stayed at the W Bellevue and came to the Lakehouse to eat for both mornings of our stay. The breakfast options were plentiful, the food was good, and the service was excellent! The space is nice and large, it's right next to the W Hotel and also part of Lincoln Square South. We parked on the 4th level in the parking garage and parking is free on weekends. Get the fresh squeezed orange juice, it was really good and fresh! The hash browns are also special, definitely recommend that!

One of the best spots for breakfast in Bellevue. I've tried many of the dishes and they are all fantastic. They have some additional options on the weekends for brunch as well. While the food is great, the service is the icing on the cake. We absolutely adore Alex, but every waiter we have had at breakfast has been incredibly kind and attentive. Pro Tip: Don't forget to ask for their delicious Fresno Chile hot sauce.

This is one of our regular brunch places. And each time we look forward to trying the delicious new dishes - dishes change based on the season. We were seated promptly - thank you for that. We ordered drinks, northwest cassoulet, chilaquiles and steak&eggs.Chewy was amazing. He was pleasant, thoughtful and attentive. It was loud in the dining room - louder than normal but that's okay, people were having a wonderful Saturday morning. Steak and Eggs was good. Best part of this plate was the creamed spinach. I think the wagyu could have used a little bit of the seasoning (yes, I realize it's wagyu). The chilaquiles was okay - flavorful and pretty reminiscent of what Lakehouse is. The northwest cassoulet - was disappointing. It lacked seasoning, was served in a bowl that make it difficult to eat, did not have any starch - we ended up ordering side of toast to go with it. Usually dishes like this bursting with flavor so you don't miss the carb/starch. I'd asked for honey with the cappuccino - great flavor but the mixing spoon never made an appearance. Got a refill on coffee, asked for oat milk and the oat milk never made an appearance either. It's the little details - for a place like Lakehouse, these little things were disappointing. Chewy was amazing, he got the cassoulet taken off the bill - thank you for that. I've rated The Lakehouse higher before but missed little detail and lack of flavor is the reason why I am going with three stars this time.

My wife and I strolled into this restaurant on one slow Sunday morning. I was looking for a basic breakfast spot with basic breakfast options. Instead we stopped at Lakehouse, and it was everything except basic! Everything we ordered was a step above what we expected while being delicious and very filling. We ordered a number of items that we thoroughly enjoyed. We ordered French toast with apple compote and cranberries, and a linguiça sausage meal with sweet potatoes, yams, brussel sprouts, scrambled eggs, and fried rice. For sides, we got a biscuit, chicken sausage, and potatoes. Every item was fresh and cooked well and something we'd order again. The most unique part of the meal (for me) was having yams and brussel sprouts with scrambled eggs. It was very tasty nonetheless. The standout for me was the large buttery biscuit. It was crispy on the outside and soft and pillowy on the inside. I'll most likely stop by occasionally just to grab a couple of those. We had no complaints about the service. The staff was very attentive and checked on us often. The restaurant was bright and felt very inviting. The greenery on the bar pillar wall and the nice color contrast adds to the feeling of a more upscale restaurant. Lastly, the cost was a bit on the higher side, but we expected that. If they keep preparing biscuits like that, I'll be spending a lot more money there ... happily. My wife and I have walked past this restaurant a thousand times and never stopped to eat here. We will not keep making that mistake. We will be back to check out their other meals beyond breakfast as well, and I recommend that you check it out too.
