This is a small soul restaurant in downtown Chicago. Upon walking in, the music was nothing but soulful classic hits. We were seated at the bar for a few drinks. The bartender appropriately provided us wonderful service while pouring up drinks like they were in the movie Cocktail.The drinks were pricey, but their presentation was everything. The thought and effort that went into crafting each cocktail was apparent and they all tasted great.The Feeling peachy cocktail had a nice balance of sweetness and whiskey to it and the ice cube had an "L" stamped on it. Red Bottoms on State was a sweet and fruity cocktail with layers of color from top to bottom, while the Midnight Chi was dark and foggy with a bite of tartness on the end.I had a great time here even though I didn't have any food. I didn't have the garden salad, but to my understanding it was delicious. I heard the lamb chops were awesome, so I may be back to try them.

Such a great time. The vibes are top notch! Great music, great atmosphere, and the food was great! The service was a 10! Skills had salmon with cheese grits and CC had fried chicken wings and Mac & Cheese. Skills: "My food was 8 out of 10. I scored it an 8 because I feel the salmon was cooked just a little tad bit longer than I would prefer. It was still pretty good though, and nicely seasoned. The cheese grits were on point! You can add cheese or not. The Grits were a 10. I Definitely will be back! CC: "The fried chicken was a 10! Just the way I like it, seasoned well, crispy, so good! And the Mac & Cheese was a 10!! One of the best I've ever tasted, Besides my husband's Mac&Cheese!! This was up there with the best of them! Creamy, cheesy, Perfect! I will be returning for sure! Tired this place out today and it was GOOD!!!!! Service was quick (we went at noon). The experience started off with the polite host that was VERY friendly. She also was knowledgeable about the menu. The old fashioned with Tequila was a HIT!!!! I'll take a picture of it TO GO!!!Let me talk about this Mac n cheese tho........l'm SUPER picky aboutMNC BUT.....this one DELIVERED!!!!! The sweet potato's were PERFECT and not too sweet......now on to the motherload BBQ turkey tips...Flavor 10/10....tender to the point my grandmother can take her dentures out and GO TO TOWN!!!!! Side note: there were a few pieces left on my plates only because they had bones in them and at the point I was toofull to do all that work!Oh wait HOW CAN I FORGET......THE MUSIC..... they had me at Anita Baker Sweet love which made it a sweet experience!! Get there and try it out for yourself!!!! Will be back!

Great vibes, music, food, drinks and service. A couple of friends and I enjoyed Happy Hour at the L Station. The food was delicious - turkey tips, salmon bites and shrimp bites, even the fries were good. The drinks were made perfectly - lavender lemon drop martinis and a Feeling Peachy. And, our server Karly was the absolute BEST! She told us about the food and drinks, was attentive and even gave us a couple of samples when we expressed interest in. All of us said we would go back and definitely get the lamb chops next time. Look forward to checking out the weekend Brunch.

Small yet chic restaurant. The food was amazing. The drinks looked pretty, but were mediocre. Service was decent, nothing amazing, but I'd definitely go back again.

My experience was literally perfect. I recommend the bbq turkey tips and the lamb mac and cheese. The service was excellent. I was able to order dinner even though I arrived nine minutes before the kitchen closed. Everything was made fresh. The decor was giving luxury with old school rnb. My only critique was the location. I think they should move to West Loop/Fulton market and keep the kitchen open later.

One Saturday morning, while downtown in the Loop vicinity, I was looking for a restaurant that was nearby. I know of the choices along State Street, Wabash Avenue, and Michigan Avenue, but I was on the northwest end of the Loop. The L Station was the option that popped up when I searched for restaurants that were near me.I popped in earlier in the day, which put me way ahead of the late brunch crowd. I sat at the bar rather than sitting at a table. The bartender, who was working the front of the house, took my order. He answered my two short questions with patience, and everything was good in the land.For a cocktail, I had a Summertime Chi. The menu describes it as a signature Sidecar cocktail. On the first sip, I had to set it aside until I had some food in the belly. I knew I would have to walk the buzz off after the meal. Oh, there were no complaints about it being heavy-handed.I ordered the waffle flight so that I could sample the selection of waffles that they have on the menu. There was blueberry, banana pudding, strawberry, and caramel rum. These came as four quarters that didn't require any syrup. I had ordered grilled shrimp to go with the waffles, and let me be the first to say that this was 10 notches past outstanding. For a brunch selection, this hit the mark.I must say that the price point is high, but not exorbitant. I will admit that I got exactly what I paid for. There is 18% gratuity applied per bill. Restaurants should watch that because if service is good like what I experienced, some will pay the bill with the 18% and add no additional tip when paying the tab. It could cheat a server that provides outstanding service. Nevertheless, I'm glad that I stopped in at the time of day that I did. I can't say when or if I will go for dinner because I am sure the restaurant draws a large dinner crowd. However, I will return again at some point for Saturday brunch.

If I said the food was good, I wouldn't be doing the food any justice. The food is DELICIOUS! I had the Lamb mac n cheese with Salmon Bites. I had to eat it all! It was so good. The atmosphere is real chill & laid back. They play really good music and it's a whole vibe. I had the Black75 drink & it was very good! If I lived here in Chicago, I would definitely come back again! I highly recommend this place. The customer service is absolutely amazing. The waitress(Davi) is so kind & sweet; I love her!
